Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

Okay the right thing to do really is don't kill her, modulo mental effects on us.

She doesn't deserve it. But life isn't fair. its not about Justice its about Beauty. Its about making things better regardless of if we deserve them.

But hard men making hard decisions are almost always wrong.

[X] Kill her now, so we can kill more demons, faster. And there by protect Una.

Was just looking through the ability bible and I was wondering if it is possible to get unstoppable on infinity edge?

The weapon would not lend itself to it that much, though one could argue that its superheated blade might make it possible.

Either way, if it is possible, I would not expect to see it before level 30 or something like that. Having Unstoppable on your regular attacks is plenty powerful.

Write ins are not allowed, please revise your vote.

Yes, I guess that would be pretty powerful to have on all of our basic attacks, so if we did have the ability to get it would be at a pretty high level.

@Rukia will we have a chance to do some more training after we are done dealing with the light?

[X] You deserve more than this.
Fuck it I'm voting for what is probably the better option for Cerys's mental health.

Stem cell research, for one. I'm sure there are plenty of other unethical medical experiments you could do with a fetus, never mind what the potential magical uses of one might be.

I just found it really unsettling how it was just a throwaway line that probably will be just glossed over, it's one of those things that screams Chekhov's Gun to me. That and you know its just really really fucked up regardless of the potential reasons and gain that some parties could get out of it.

I have the feeling Cerys was more concerned about the flood of information in general; plus, this seems more like a little bit of backstory we would not have gotten otherwise than a preparation for a plot device.

Honestly I am not really okay with either vote.
I am sorry to hear that; the only other option you have in this case is not to vote.
Rukia stopped allowing write-ins for a reason, after all.

she is not a Knight and came later than we did.
No reason for her to have our growth affinity.

Since when do we have a growth affinity, I thought we just had beginning, and end as our affinities or am I being dumb? Also I'm going to need some more information than she came later and isn't a Knight, because I apparently missed some very important information somewhere. Finaly what are we a knight of and what does it mean to be a knight?

1) we have a growth affinity since we became a Magical Girl. All MGs have one. Ours is Story - as can be seen in the Character Sheet.
2) Knight is a part of our Magical Girl names and therefore theme.
Magical Girls that work better together usually share parts of their names, like we do with Daiyu and Una.
They also tend to have the same Growth Affinity.

Ignition Knight (Cerys)
Ebony Knight (Daiyu)
Eternal Knight (Una)

The Knight is part of our own theme, but also part of Daiyu's and Una's theme. E.g. it gives us Knights Aria. It's also why all of them have Swords or Shield and not other Weapons.

  1. If you don't have a growth affinity you aren't a magical girl, and Cerys is a magical girl so QED.
  2. Knight as in "Ignition Knight", "Eternal Knight", etc. Sabina isn't part of Cerys "destined team", and as such there's no particular reason for her to be the same growth affinity as the Knights.

In addition to what was said above, the Clocktower's "rock of Affinity detection" or however they call it is faulty in that way. It is unable to discern a Magical Girl's growth Affinity, thus Cerys herself has no idea she is a Story.

Though, to be fair, her and Daiyu's stats are leaning closer towards the average Myth or Legend, with their Spells actually bordering on Epic territory. (On the other hand, they only had those starting at lvl10, so it will take a while for that to even out).
Una is just a strong Story, though; she has to somehow keep up with the insane head start regarding EXP her fellow Knights have :V

Well that's because Rukia didn't understand scaling for a while Gaia was actively fucking around with those two.

Well, Cerys and Daiyu no longer get EXP from mooks. Nothing has been said about Una in that regard. *hands over a justification if Rukia wants to give Una an EXP Boost*

The winner seems pretty clear.

EDIT: A note, remember that canon CWMGQ damage stats tell us that "top tier" MGs are supposed to be able to punch 80'000 damage, and Top Ten ought to have 150'000 as a casual damage level, IIRC. We aren't there yet. Be prepared for struggle. Then again, those are for OP Epics empowered by Divinities, and Goddess Four.

I gave Rukia that justification last week already :V
(The problem is getting Una into a position where she would actually get EXP from mooks dying. Kind of difficult with no one wanting to bring her into the fighting)
