You might want to ponder exactly how moral a girl brutalised by growing up in an institution designed to turn her into a living wepon by people terrified of her will actually be.

I've been interpreting the concept of 'morality pet' as more 'a reason for the principle protagonist in this scenario to remember to behave morally'. Paulven has someone to be an /example/ for now, rather than a demonstration or foil.

Already a Dad Joke! Grayven, you're doomed.
he should make a group or something, good parents who are also powered individuals...
Has Lynne met Mister Tawney yet? I want a girl/tiger bonding scene.

From an emotional perspective, Mister Tawney could serve as a PTSD recovery companion as well as a bodyguard because if Lynne gets too overwhelmed she might accidentally melt the brains of everyone in a mile radius. And as an uplifted animal, Mister Tawney's non-human mental patterns might give him a degree of resistance to telepathic assault (like Wolverine), which would be enhanced by awakening into a New God.

Grayven knows his life is full of violence and danger, so it'll be important that he have a system in place so his adopted daughter Lynne will be cared for if anything happened to him: GODPARENTS/guardians, as well as checks and balances to make sure the godparents/guardians are raising her properly.

As a genre-savvy individual, Grayven knows that someone out there will want to exploit or manipulate Lynne for their own purposes, if not outright kill her, and wearing a ring powered by fear will probably make him a little over-protective when he crafts his contingency plans.

Batman: o_O "You want ME to be Lynne's godfather?"
Grayven: "Just because we've had our philosophical differences doesn't mean I don't respect and admire you. You have a good track record with raising troubled youths, you have a strong emotional support network (Alfred, the Robins, Batgirl, etc.), and you're sufficiently paranoid to protect her from the dangers that lurks out there."
Lynne: "Can I be the new Batgirl?"
Batman: "No."
Lynne: "What about Gray Girl?"
Grayven: "We're not calling you Gray Girl."
Lynne: "Grayven Junior?"
Grayve: "On second thought, Gray Girl is an okay name."
Lynne: :D
Batman: :eyeroll:

Reading over the comparisons between the two Orange Lanterns reminded me of something I was wondering about.

When did Paul stop using ShockCrown? And for that matter, why?

I'm pretty sure he had a couple other CamelCase abilities he had used, too, though that could be my memory playing tricks on me.

I think most of the reason is the enemies that get on screen time are in some way resistant to it.
"Forget about me, mate?"

A red blur flies through the air towards me as I see the afterimage along the wall. Having trained against Wallace the dodge-vertigo inducer-shockcrown counter is so heavily ingrained-

"Whbllagh!"
Latest time I can remember him using it in the sections in the story only thread. I think he may have used it against that one guy with the pants shitting weapon in Black Reign. Also in Hullevow.

Omnicogniscience was one he hasn't used recently. Can't remember the last time he used a particles beam, but that is probably just because it's not super memorable. Phased particle beam as well.

There just haven't been many fights that call for heavy munitions really. Going through the paragon episodes since Doppelganger, Prayer he ran out of power, Spring in Blume he was jobbing, no fighting for Paragon in Stars, Crossed, Hullevow was a mental battle, Black Reign had a few, Carpe Tempus had another mental battle kinda, and Date Night had essentially none.

Fascinating. When I do this route, I always rush the base construction and have a spare guest room before Lynn comes home, and then when I wake up Darkseid is there wanting to meet his new granddaughter. Thwarting that scene is really as simple as sleeping on the couch he would otherwise show up on?

Well, yes, but that's the boring option. In my playthrough, I just make it a point to destroy every couch I see. That way Darkseid can't show up on any of them. Best way to delay the Apokaliptan invasion. In terms of hilarity, anyway.

Why not just destroy the comfy ones, so if he does come in he has to sit on a really terrible couch and you can mock him? I'm pretty sure that removes any lounging buffs he'd get.

One of the powers Darkseid gets from his divine portfolio is ex nihilo couch creation, so this won't work. How else would couches made for humans bear his weight?

Really? Dang. I guess my couch-destroying efforts were in vain.

...I wonder why he hasn't invaded yet, then?

You didn't look hard enough.

IIRC, you need to sit on 1 008 different ones for at least an hour (42 days) to get the stat to appear.

Wait, what?
Did you actually try to get the Comfy-ness stat without a team equipped?
Because it pretty much unlocks itself as long as you change the main couch once in a while and your team is big enough.
I have question tough, In my play through couches don't allow to be rigged by anything but car bombs but I want to rig that Reach bomb I found. Is there any way to do it?

I mean don't get me wrong taking away Darkseids 10% life before the start of battle is all well and good but there should be options.

To unlock the full rig options is extremely difficult.

You need a team of at least 20.
You have to have Constantine as part of your team.
Constantine needs to have a positive relationship with every member of the team as well as a positive standing with at least 50% of the current Justice League.

"Extremely difficult"? That sounds outright impossible. I mean, unless you engineer things so that the entire Justice League dies. 50% of 0 is still 0, so that would mean he would only have to have a positive relationship with twenty people.

...admittedly, with Constantine, that's still a terribly uphill battle, but it's not as bad as having to do that and 50% of the League.
