"-but I a bit possessed at the time and I don't really remember-" And suddenly I remember seeing her. Thank you Ophidian. "-most of what we saw."
So he can actively remember the stuff he missed while fused now? Nice.

Also, missing a "was" in this quote after the first 2 words.

Does anyone else find it hilarious that any time Paul actually tries to aproach any woman romantically it fails and every time a woman shows interest he doesn't notice.
Are you like this IRL Zoat?

If he was it's not like he'd be able to tell in the first place, which makes this whole thing meta in bunch of ways considering the whole empathic vision thing and all that.

Well, she's not really showing that much interest in HIM so much as what him liking her can do FOR her. It may change once they get around to actually conversing on something else, but for the moment... I'm thinking it's not really going to go anywhere, outside of a professional/'workplace' relationship.

I think it's more that that bit of memory happened to be stored in his actual biological brain instead of the orange light construct brain extensions. Eithee that or Ophidian just actively shoved the memory back into his head for some reason

It's actually not that difficult to figure out, it just doesn't help.

If you can honestly say you're at least not hideous, and are capable of even some miniscule level of social function, IE: you can go outside where people are; then so long as you're not literally totally isolated, the older you get, the more the possibility of someone having been attracted to/flirting with you approaches 100%.

Once you realize that, you just check to see if you've noticed. If not, congrats, you're as dense as a standard harem anime protagonist.

Again, knowing that doesn't help, per se; but you can sort of plan around it from there.

As a writer, though, it's much easier. Even if you're thick IRL, you ultimately control who likes who when you write a story, so just add conservation of detail into the mix, and it's pretty easy to write romance, whether one party is oblivious or not.

Unless he was only able to tell in hindsight, like:
*Three hours later*
Paul: .....fuck.

Considering the neutron star star level denseness he's been showing to this point, with relatively little hindsight when it comes to romantic things, it'd still be meta.

most of the files describing exactly what she got up to with them wasn't on computer

Should be "weren't". It conjugates on "files". Also, it might be "my" computer. I stand corrected, that was referring to the files being computerized. Seeing it out of context while quoting threw me.
