As a matter of fact, as a foreigner English-speaker, I'd like to say that it's highly irritating when an expression literally means the opposite of what it's supposed to mean.
... But then I'm a pretty much easily irritated guy, like cringing each time I see "decimate" when more than 10% of the total is removed.
