The League is away on a mission to Apokolips. Guys with Apokolian tech attack the city. Somehow I doubt this is a coincidence.

And people were worried that Adom would do something violent.

Typos:

I can hear screams, the roar of flames gunfire and the crack and hiss of energy and plasma weapons.
"flames, gunfire"

"horde"

It must be twelve metres long with giant solid wheels to pull it over and through any obstacle and fore mounted turret shaped like a reptile's neck.
"and a"

Once it's high enough that that I don't have to worry about it setting anyone else on fire a second hand appears and crushes it, super hard Apokoliptian armour splintering and deforming in my grasp.
"that"

The radio has being jammed and we haven't been able to send runners anywhere."
"is"

Two.. weirdly 'U' shapes flying machines standing on overwatch at high altitude, presumably waiting for Kahndaqi aircraft or Adom himself.
"shaped"

The closest I slice it in twain with a construct blade.
Excess "it".

So, given his order to the Praexis Demons to eat anything Apokalyptian, anyone else predicting someone getting the Renegade Timeline Queen Bee treatment here? :p

Soldier A: "Yo, check this out. I got hooked up with this cool Apokalyptian cyborg arm."
Soldier B: "These Apokalyptian cyber-eyes are better. They give me full 360 degree vision, X-ray eyes, infrared. The works!"
Soldier C: "Pfft. Those are more like toys than military hardware. Full nano-skin replacement with camouflage ability and regenerative shielding. Plus... armored Apokaliptian codpiece."

Soldier A: "Oh yeah, that's a good choice."
Soldier B: "Hey, I'm picking up something coming in fast... alot of things."

Praexis Hoard: "We HUNGER!"

Soldier C: "AHHHH!"

Batman kills the shit out of parademons- any nonhuman, really.

As for the last line of the update, I couldn't help but read it in Michael Dorn's voice.

....are you serious? These guys are literally massacring civilians indiscriminately with advanced xenotech. Wasting time--and putting himself at risk by--holding back and sticking with nonlethal force and figuring out ways to sufficiently subdue them would be morally disgusting.
You and I know that but I mean that to the rest of the world this may have negative effects towards OL and maybe even the Justice League since Superheroes are held to a standard to not kill people. Then again since OL is saving civilians like said more people will understand but won't be a sure thing.

Not everyone will see it as the right thing it is.

Course he can then argue that the All Star Squadron did similar stuff during WW2.

Well, this is certainly a shit show.

Looks entirely too much like Queen Bee had a role to play in this. Was kind of hoping it was just the Khandaqi dictator being a stupid asshole, but all the Apokoliptian tech kind of nyxes that idea. Fucking stupid ass supervillains.

Yeah, it saddens me.

Then again it COULD be a trap for OL after the whole thing with Canis and Dreamer.

Kanto would have told Darkseid about the things OL said and what he seemed to know (WAY TOO MUCH) and it would be simple for Darkseid to contact/subvert Queen Bee and her forces, remember a simple mind control lump would do the trick right here.

Why Shiruta? well is a known fact that OL is a friend of Adom.

I'm trying to imagine OL showing up and unleashing hell...but all I'm getting is like...Orange WH40K.

Someone appears in the sky, and just unleashes a couple dozen demons and starts mowing people down.

I really hope that this isn't what sours things between OL and Batman.
That would be such a weird conversation.
I mean while I can understand Batman's issue over killing (giving in and permanently depopulating Gotham's criminal underworld) even he must understand that in a actual warzone such actions are necessary.

"We're not killers."
"No on that day we were soldiers."

This will be a historical moment for Earth-16; people will finally recognize Superheroes not as funny people in stupid costumes, but as self-contained WMD.
It will be glorious.

Paul's gone to War.

Khorne is Pleased.

And as far as Batman goes, yes he doesn't go straight for killing, but he has likely maimed, crippled and caused such injuries in his day so as to have death be a merciful release, for dozens if not hundreds of henchmen and low-level street-thugs.

I think the Pacifiers are too high tech to give over to Queen Bee, so this is starting to look like a trap to OL after he went to run his mouth to the personal assassin of Darkseid.

If Paul goes for the nuclear option and unleashes the Ophidian, he can use his quintessential wave scan and near unlimited power to kill all of his enemies in a single instant. I want that to happen.

I'm not entirely sure Earth-16 has the... societal awareness...? to work that out. I mean, fucking Klarion's Horrible Day For Everybody didn't really make it sink in.

I mean, sure, it's possible. Might be the straw that breaks the camel's back, as it were.

But they don't really have a good track record on that.

Wonder how the rest of the team's taking it, it's been a while since OL's been so obviously lethal (meatslicing satan aside). One moment he's helping with homework, then they change the channel and he rushes off to dismantle an army.
