For the record, speaking as a medium-high-level LSH fanboy, "Controller in purple hooded robes" is very definitely either the Time Trapper or a Controller faking being the Time Trapper.

(The first instance of the Trapper's identity being revealed was as a Controller. I'm pretty sure that when the "real" Trapper appeared later, it was fairly quickly established that he was the personification of Entropy. The whole weird thing with multiple people being the Trapper in different timelines, culminating in it turning out that the Trapper could manipulate his or her own backstory to have been whoever they wanted to mess with at the time, came much later.

(For the record, I much prefer the straightforward "incarnation of entropy" version, as seen in the I-wish-it-hadn't-been-necessary-but-good-gods-it-was-awesome Conspiracy arc culminating in "Life and Death and the End of Time.")

All things have ended here, even those that never began. Dreams have crumbled to dust, and lives faded out of memory. In all the universe, it seems there only remaining energy enough to swirl the fragments of the past and abandon hope of the future... They called this the End of Time and pray it will not come in their lifetimes. They have called him by a 1000 names. He is Night, Death, Apocalypse, Eternity, Entropy, Time. To all that live, all that moves, all that hope that tomorrow will dawn, he is the enemy. This is his kingdom and its day has come.

"Ah… I'm gunna be going to the synagogue more often than I have been. And…" Her eyes widen. "Which religion's right?"
"Shayna Punim, you did hear what the nice angel-man said about that Christ fellow, right? ...Though seeing as HE'S a nice Jewish boy himself, we're in the clear for the most part ourselves, I think."

"Some more than others."

"SHUT THE F@#$ UP, YOSEF!"

What do you mean you don't know? You literally know a bunch of gods! I'm sure you can manage someone more enlightening than this when it comes to someone as clueless as her!
If she just wanted a recommendation, sure, but it sounds like she wants to know how to reach the Silver City, and he's no expert on that. The risk/reward ratio of DC monotheism just isn't competitive with other options, so he hasn't investigated.

*winces* ouch. ethical quagmire of the kind responsible for my character avoiding time travel like the plague, despite theoretically having a half-dozen potential two-way methods.
there's no right or wrong decision, well, no RIGHT decision barring a borderline ass-pull third one at best-a very large number of people are either going to die or be retgonned :(
i...guess its a good thing he's perfectly in tune/accepting of his desires, cause if paul wasn't,and had the guilt/doubts niggling away at him for the rest of his life....

this kinda heavy crap is why i fanatically beleve Chrono Cross is non-Cannon, regardless of what square-enix claims...

could just be a metahuman
True, I'm afraid not and yes,
"True" doesn't really fit as a response to "you're sure?"
I though
I thought
A man a purple robe
A man in a purple robe
Thank you, corrected.
repent my sins
repent of my sins
I'm not sure about this one.
Also, I thought Dearden already explained the whole magic coin thing waaay back when OL first met her.
Um...

She did?

I'm not saying that you're wrong, I just don't remember it happening.

Also, I thought Dearden already explained the whole magic coin thing waaay back when OL first met her.
Actually when OL met her what happened was this:
"I know who you are!" Actually, her voice does sound-. "You got me fired!"

I point at her with my right forefinger. "Dana Dearden."

"Got that right." Her right hand heads towards her pocket. What's she going to do, throw change at me? "And I'm going to-."
And then she stops. And no further mention of the coins afterwards
But from the wiki it was obccious what it was. As for the theory about Truggs giving the coins it comes from this I think:
I put my right hand to my forehead. "How did you even get this number?"

"A really pissed off GBS intern."

Ughh. I asked them not to fire her
So I think people guessed he gave her the coins as payment for the number or something.

I....have a memory of her mentioning Magic coins. I think it was when he and Aqualad met her at a restaurant for dinner and an interview? I just can't remember when that was, I'm looking, but finding specific things in this story is a pain in the ass sometimes. I'm pretty sure OL asks her what she was planning on doing and she tells him she has the magic coins, although I don't believe she says what they do.

Just spitballing on possible "return" targets:

Right back from where he left, give or take a few hours. Probably the most likely. Maybe Earth itself, maybe Maltus, doesn't make much difference.

Same Earth, same-ish time, different timeline. I have mixed feelings about this one, given how much we've gotten to know a lot of the characters that would be changed.

The Grayven timeline. I mean, it's not going to happen, but what if it did?

Earth Prime, with or without powers.

The Bleed. Probably not a great outcome, but he could learn a few things? Possibly including his "visit other fictional universes" trick.

A different Earth. Grayven already visited the JLU universe; it could happen. The mainline comics universe would be an especially interesting outcome...

The start of the story. Possibly with the Time Trapper accompanying him. Peggy Sue time?

Does anyone else remember:
That something temporal was going to happen and Cyborg would become a founding member of the league? Could this be what causes that?

I remember the meeting, but I can't remember the specifics either.

You know, this update may just save Dana from Hell.
Pretty sure Zauriel appearing and being on T.V. saved a LOT more people from Hell than just Dana...

Or it may have condemned others further.

Some people are more than likely to take offense that there actually IS a Higher Power watching and orchestrating everything in creation, and are thus likely to seriously sin out of protest or spite.

The miracle-hating Mirror, for example.

She didn't say which christian denomination though, she said which religion.

I think you overestimate how much people in Christian-predominant countries care about other religions. Or even consider them religions rather than myth. And before you make the obvious argument, I doubt that Paul openly worshipping Eris would make much of a difference if Diana literally claiming to be made by the Greek Pantheon from clay didn't.
