Lois only only brought it up because she (and Superman) thought Paul didn't agree with the idea of Kal himself taking on a larger and more direct role in Kon's life. Which as he explained was an accurate assessment at the time Superman went to him for advice on how to best do that and Paul basically said it be best he not even bother to do so. So she (and probably Superman) thought he'd be a little more negative about it, but since its making Kon happy without disrupting his life Paul's basically alright with it.Is anyone else tired about Lois bringing up the whole Superman not immediately adopting Superboy until months later, which in the mean time has already been adopted and has a life of his own, all on the bases that he's a clone and the only member of species that Superman knows that exists. Especially how she seems to be now bringing this up despite being in a relationship with Kal-El.
I think you mean 'couldn't' if we go by what she's responding to with that question.
