Huh? Paul volunteered, because he felt responsible. Why is he acting up now?
I think this should be "uninterested". "Disinterested" means "unbiased".
orange ring users who make trouble
a member of your species
accountable for any harm
That last action... It is the biggest show of antagonism Paul could do.
I hope Ranx eventually chooses to leave the Orange Corps. We need people that Paul considers MINE to act attained his desires. Will that irritation make him choose suboptimal choices? Will he weaken the mental control of nearby Orange lanterns when he is suppressing his desires? Perhaps he will accidentally Orange-ify important (meaningful) items in his subspace pocket.
Honen of Avarice.I'm pretty sure he stepped through the Plane of Avarice or something (Where ever the metaphysical Hosen of Avarice is).
Honden of Avarice, not Hosen. The former is the part of a Japanese shrine intended exclusively for the kami's use, the latter are German pants.I'm pretty sure he stepped through the Plane of Avarice or something (Where ever the metaphysical Hosen of Avarice is).
Thank you, corrected.Extra space

'Macro', not 'mega'. 'Macro Lantern'."Class, your normal instructor is in time out for annoying me. I will be teaching you for the next week, and possibly longer if he doesn't stop with the random teleporting, backtalk, and recruiting any and everything with the word "mega" in its description."
Eh, I thought they were kind of reasonable. I mean overall, they're right: OL accidentally created a lot of of powerful, unstable people, some of which could and did go on murderous rampages, and his attitude has been (and mostly remains) "Eh, I'll get around to cleaning that up". He's telling the guardians "It's not my fault if they do bad things, Orange Lanters be Orange Lanterns", but at the same time he's using the occasion to recruit for his corps. It's a bit of a diplomatic dick move, especially considering he doesn't really have the negotiating upper hand and they're otherwise cutting him some slack. The Guardians, meanwhile, are assholes who only manage to be as awful as they are because they've got the power to enforce it. Only they aren't the only option, and Paul would love to help give more exposure and PR for the other colors of the spectrum...
(They're not evil, which is nice. They're just assholes. As with the Collectors, I suspect that they will need to start moderating themselves a bit once their power is seen as less singular.)
Yeah, I can empathize with them on that one. Charlie's rule 16: when your decisions affect billions of lives every day, your attention becomes a very precious commodity. After they said "Fuck Scott" and "We don't give a shit about the martians" Paul really didn't want to be there any more.
Sure, but the possessive "its" has no apostrophe* Genders are tricky. If you're uncomfortable using "it" to refer to something sentient, there's been a growing trend to use "they" as singular.
There's no particular reason Ranx has to be a Lantern. I had a whole post written about this that I scrapped, but Ranx isn't particularly suited for offensive combat given its size, mass, and value. It is suited for operating as a ship yard, center for logistical and tactical control, manufacturing center, and all of the people stuff that happens in a city. None of those require it to have a power ring, although it helps, so long as it has access to the capabilities of a power ring through someone else. Really, if it has decent space devoted to fabrication, and some form of FTL drive is added, it doesn't necessarily even need that.I hope Ranx eventually chooses to leave the Orange Corps. We need people that Paul considers MINE to act attained his desires. Will that irritation make him choose suboptimal choices? Fair point. I was thinking 'megastructure', and forgot that the term for Mother of Mercy is 'macroorganism'.
Thank you, corrected.
True, but him having an insignia and ring that matches those aboard him serves to emphasise that they're part of the same organisation.

Go ahead.@Mr Zoat
I know you don't really do them, but we need a Guardian interlude
I can't presume to be able to do it. No talent at all.

Let's see, carry the two, multiply by infinity... if my numbers are right, Paul needs to completely exterminate at least seven species through his carelessness before he qualifies for a gentle slap on the wrist and a firm finger wag.
"And when I start recruiting mega bitches you'll be the first in line for a ring"
"Illustres, kindly cease violating the sanctity of the time out."
