But yes he will be super great in stalling Reach advancements and evacing entire planet populations since he is nearly as big as Mogo.
Ranx only got planet-sized after the Sinestro Corps upgraded him. Ranx 16 is currently large city-sized.
While a reader can fill in the blank here, clarification on what "closest" refers to might make things flow a little bit better.
Thank you, modified.
Do you mean "get close enough to kill me?"
No. They would have to get close to killing him before he got a self-preservation power boost.
And, fully repaired, manned, and kitted out by Controllers and THE Weaponer of Qward... will Ranx be able to go toe-to-toe with the WarWorld?
Depends on how they equip him.
To be fair...he was a captain of Nazis, and Paul IS still somewhat British. I'm pretty sure that killing Nazis is like....a hobby fully sanctioned by the crown.

Thank you, corrected.
He is a battle station without a cause.
The SI is going to give him one.
Yes, but Luthor's battlesuit hasn't been a thing here (except a brief mention of Blue Lantern's universe), nor have transparent forcefields. Comic books things are gonna comic book, even if they're different in the fic.
LexCorps power armour has been seen a couple of times.

"You know how the Green Lantern Corps has a planet Lantern?"

"...yes."

"Well that got me thinkin', so I went and acquired some planet Lanterns myself! Two of them! Which is twice as good!"

"Are you just going to keep doing that? Just copy the GLC piecemeal but just more so? What's next, a second embodiment living in your central power battery?"

"Look what I got! *Shows Hope Entity held with a tiny leash* It was just floating around and no one was using giving it company, so I adopted it!"

As it hasn't been described beyond "people from Lex Corp with purple force fields in power armour" I don't feel like I should assume Lex puts the same touches on it that he'd put on his (then again, they're probably still purple and green with a large Lex Corp logo so...)

But wouldn't he need at least 2 more Embodiments in the power battery for it to one up the Green one? Because I'm reasonably certain Parallax is also there, though I suppose he could just steal Parallax and do it that way.

I'm sincerely hoping that if/when ol goes back to earth,he ends up attempting to irreparably break Luthor's cover/very publicly expose him as a member of the group responsible for the....incident that killed a LOT of children.
I was rather hoping at least one Luthor would meet his grisly end. For once it appeared that Grayven of all people would grant my wish. In hindsight I should have seen it coming. It was remarkably true to life. Someone as rich and connected as Luthor could easily get away with a lot.

It is part of my hope that if Grayven spared him...Paul might just go the other path. Would be a nice dichotomy.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess...Rag mag?

Guy: DAMMIT PAUL! How are we supposed to do our superheroic punch to the face if you keep using REASON AND DISCOURSE with our opponents? Talking to them is supposed to be a special comic event not the regular recurring plot point!

I kinda do hope he turns around and just punches someone in the face at some point soon. Not for any artistic reason, just cause.

He gets back to earth, scans, notices a Reach signature in a remote and covert location. He goes there and Lex is in a meeting with a Reach representative, who Paul kills before punching Lex into a wall.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that, but I'm afraid that the picture is genuine. A certain abdicated monarch was a bit too close to certain German politicians and got his niece to pose for the cameras.
I did not know that.

Anyway, a Rag magazine is like uh....a tabloid? Sensational stories, yellow journalism and the like. Pretty big thing over here. See them at pretty much every store at the check out line.

So... The interesting question is: who are Ranx's builders. It's very old, according to wiki, "as old as the stars"... So, it might involve time travel (if it turns out to be a battle TARDIS, I'll probably laugh). If Zoat decides to make its origins at least somewhat defined ("Wholeness Rightly Assumed" restoring its memory banks, for example), who do you think it'll end up belonging (in the sense of "was constructed by") to? Kryptonians? The architecture is quite different. New Genesis before it was New? Or even their predecessors?

In all fairness, depending on when that picture was taken, the Nazi salute and Nazi party in general were probably still okay. Imagine if you met with, I dunno, an ambassador from Kazakhstan and did the whole PR spiel - posing for photos, doing a Kazakhian salute, etc. Then 4 years later, BAM! Kazakhstan goes crazy, kills a quarter of its population, and invades Russia.

You hardly did anything wrong; Kazakhstan was a perfectly normal country when you met that ambassador. Trade looked like a promising opportunity, the people were nice, they had a neat flag... it all seemed alright. It doesn't make any sense for people to fault you for posing and everything; that's just how PR is done, and Kazakhstan seemed fine... should you just avoid allying with any country, in case they suddenly go off the deep end?

And to anyone saying "Hitler was clearly racist before he started concentrating and killing minorities", you're absolutely right. But, racist leaders are not a exception in modern times, let alone half a century ago... Its extremely hard, if not impossible, to find a unbiased view of Donald Trump, but at the very least he's verifiably said things which certainly seem racist (to a significantly greater degree than past presidents), and he's the leader of the largest and most powerful country in the world, in 2017. If you consider major flaws like racism are a reason to dismiss foreign leaders and avoid relations with other countries, then your country is on a fast track to becoming more isolationist than Krypton.

Its a fucked up world, filled with fucked up countries with fucked up people leading them and fucked up citizens following them. You can either join the fuckery, or die, cold and starving, and no one will even remember your name.

Should this be two sentences or separated by comma?
This is one instance where I think it actually makes sense to have the poor grammar for artistic reasons. Ranx probably really was stringing the words together without pause or inflection other than shouting anger.

Normally, I would say to put the semicolon or comma in, anyway, but in this case I think it's supposed to be a total run-on.

Paul should have brainy check over Ranx for malware and hidden programming.

No ring for Ranx. Paul likes to use mundane tech anyway to cover all bases.

Rinx is powerful enough. Last thing he needs is to go Orange light insane.

Btw. When is Machine Head joining up?

Also, Ranx orange light insane would be likely and scary. He'd probably start assimilating any competent individual he runs across to fill out his crew.

Wouldn't work. You can't restore something if you don't know what used to be there.
It would if the memories were inaccessible due to physical damage to their connection to Ranx's mind. If the memories were corrupted in a manner that doesn't completely destroy them.
"I will now check YOUR brain for hidden programming!"
Wouldn't he be ok with that? He still doesn't know why he can't say his name.

Ranx, half screaming berzerker, half drunk as hell guy confused about this party. Is this his party? Does anyone recognize this party? How Did he even get to this party?
