And just so you all don't think I'm making shit up.

This is my current draft for the Turbo Crux

[] [Frigate] Crux-Tertium (Crux-T) Heavy Frigate
-[] Length
- 2.000 Meters
-[] Width - 500 Meters (+1 DP)
-[] Acceleration - 7 Gravities
-[] Armor - Medium Double Hull (-1 DP)
-[] Shields - Two Arrays
-[] Weapons - 4x80m Torpedos/2x Medium Missile Batteries (-6 DP)
-[] Equipment - Missile Swarms/Lattice Hulls/Armored Life Pods/Superior Gravimetric Engine Calculations/Ship Shrines/Enhanced Supply Generation/BESH Missile Store/Macross Missile Massacres (-14 DP)

Autoloaders increases this fire rate by half again

So, two medium missile batteries x 3 x 6 = roughly 36 Medium Missile Batteries worth of fire output, Autoloaders on top of this functionally adds another Medium Missile Battery to that base number due to being able to shoot 50% faster. So now we're at 3 x 3 (9) x 6 (54) Medium Missile Batteries worth of fire.

Sure, it'll blow through it's stocks really fast (Mitigated somewhat by Enhanced Supply Generation), but good god does a Turbo Crux punch up, especially since we're using BESH Missiles which are armor piercing and blow up really good. They actually have good odds of being able to kill Light Cruisers, and are the first ship we've made that I think have a non-zero chance of being able to trade vs Eldar on a reasonable level between 7 gs acceleration and just smashing the "ALL THE MISSILES" button.

At the very least, there should be no Imperial escort ship that can survive getting into a brawl with a Turbo Crux.

... Could we use the Convention to revisit the issue of Yeeni as Protectorate vs. Kin?

Make a case why they did enough, or specify what they need to yet do.

...

WHAT THE FUCK.

Uh, while you're still here for a sec @HeroCooky , quick question, is Enhanced Supply enough to increase a Missile Boat's Missile Numbers? Or at least let them reload between battles?

Yeah, as long as it doesn't engage in a long fight.

I'm a little bit skeptical of, like, some of the stuff in the Research Academies? I feel like there might be some very typical and obvious downsides to a "Genius Test."
Valid. Let's rewrite it, focusing more on streamlining communication and dealing with publication issues!

-[] [Glimmering Research Publishing Institutes] The Academic Initiatives are flourishing, facilitating improvements to the efficiency of research and production. But those involved all agree that there are more opportunities that lie fallow. A collection of proposals have been made to improve the research capabilities of the Glimmering Federation by establishing publishing institutes throughout the Federation that focus on streamlining the communication and dissemination of research. Specifically, too often does critical research go unreported because of the difficulty of communication or the presence of negative results, or it is missed by researchers who aren't aware of what keywords to look for. This is in addition to the difficult of repeating difficult experiments because of vague instructions. These institutes would focus on fixing these problems by creating an integrated research reporting framework and rewarding well-demonstrated negative results just as strongly as positive results. Peer reviewers would be paid for their work, and basic science will be rewarded with prestige as strongly as exciting applied research. With these institutes, the saying "A month in the lab will save you a day in the library" will become a true joke instead of a painful reminder.

This may or may not be influenced by the issues I, personally, have with the way scientific publishing currently works. :V

Mmm, so as long as the fights don't drag on for days (Or we have a dedicated Fleet Tender to reload them), it should be fine, right?

I like it. Not enough to do it this very turn, but maybe I could slot it in as Action #3 in my vague and ever-changing "Next Turn plans" alongside more Voxx and, considering the threat we're facing, finally building out Centaur.

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if they dug up some Destroyer Necron shit and their Magi got subverted, but not completely (Or else the entire nation would be a puddle of blood and screaming). Would explain their fear of soul-eating Xenos though.

Choir of the Wastes calling home.

The unknown ships of the Free Duchy are...weird. They sing of combat between daggers and metal skin. Of journeys into the Warp to join dances. There is no Corruption, yet...their machine-spirits rejoice at the thought of cutting.

We advice extreme caution if they are to be engaged.
Need to corrupt their crew and get one to look at.
Or smuggle some Yeeni into Voxx and see how long it takes until they just find one. Somehow. Despite the obvious issues.

Okay, we need our ships to deal lots of damage very fucking quickly.

If their Techies did manage to somehow get infected with a flayer virus at least it could be easy to spot as most of them will probably be wearing human skins on top of their metal.

Though given how dancing and cutting was mentioned, it might not be too far fetched to suspect they might be suffering from early-stage Slaanesh corruption.

Um... Random Bullshit Go?

Really wish I can squeeze in machinery in there. Unfortunately I doubt we're going to take Conducting a Melody when we're drowning in AP hell.
