It would be like Bleach, but Aizen becomes the mysterious yet oddly friendly Shinigami that Ichigo meets at the beginning of his story.
He always had a calm smile on whenever Ichigo met him, and he never outright helps him whenever there are problems, but he'd politely point him towards the correct direction.
Ichigo doesn't know that he orchestrated most of the events happening to him.
The only reason Ichigo's not dead yet and hopped up on various powerups is because Aizen allowed it and was observing how his powers work.

Or at least in our case simply capitalizing on events and presenting it as 'yes, TOTALLY my planning.'

I like this one but necessity is more important than aesthetic. Its the most important thing is for what ever Jacob is wearing will not hinder him in anyway.
Of course we can enchant this outfit to defy the laws of physics (aren't we good at enchantment?) (Example: cape does not interfere with mobility like being a wind breaker other than at will.)
Edit: Enchant cape to do a multitude of things such as harden into a malleable shield and make it stay that way - attack someone someone (Doctor Strange's cape) - magic
