Observation Notes and Opinions:
The Soul Crown - Sounds the simplest and also to easiest on paper but collecting that many is another thing altogether. The quality of souls is something we need to look into. Forged in the Flames of Heaven and Hell? Is this literal or a metaphorically? Does this need to be forged in hell fire and whatever holy flame heaven uses?

The Book of Ebon - I believe we already have a start on this with our own advancement. I do believe the progress of this can be sped up once we take back the Ebon Kingdom's treasury from the dragon when we become strong enough. Stuff in there would really help us.
The Grand Mantle - Like the Soul Crown, this does sound simple on paper. We can either do this one of two ways. Slow and safe or Fast and Flashy. The fastest way to get that much life force is to a mass sacrifice of a large town or the smallest city. I was thinking we set up some kind of a ritual circle \ markers around the perimeter and then suck the place dry on one swoop. The slow and safe way is that we have to fulfill a quota for each month \ week. We can also set up energy draining items hidden in public spaces. Or we could go hunt down something strong and drain the life force from that.
The Black Sword - We might need to let one of the anime plots on this city to continue to run its course mostly unmolested by us. In other words, mostly no interference. Or we could pull something from Durarara!! where we set one side against each other from the shadows. We're already involved in the ninja thing and since this guy is our friend,
The Ever-Heart - I'm not sure if i want to do this last or first just to get it out of the way. If we put this off for later, it might be impossible to acquire them. I bet that quality of there souls will be a big issue for this one. Another thing is that we might want to consider doing is hunting down the villains and heroes of the other plots for this, buts that's also the hardest as well. I don't doubt about finding people with hearts of darkness but finding those with the hearts of the light will be hard.
This last option sounds like what caused someone or something to do the Ebon Emperor in.
LOL spare the Millennium Earl so we can use him as one for the Hearts of Darkness.
I have come to the conclusion that before even starting any of these, we need to scout out potential cities to do these activities in. As nice as it is to clean out the filth of our own town, people will eventually catch on when lots of people go missing. We defiantly need to go cross country for this. PACK YOUR BAGS BECAUSE WE ARE GOING ON A ROAD TRIP!! And thus this is the start of our serial killing habits.

There was originally a joke here. But since all the light-hearted, 4chan-ish behavior clearly made you angry, I'll stop.
I'll also try to stop shitposting so much, focusing more on constructive, serious discourse.
Though to be frank, it seems a big chunk of the local playerbase likes to play it fast and loose, so I am not sure what can be done about it.
Also, in relation to the current vote- we still lack any real indicator of how difficult any of this is (in relation to one another, and outside of being all difficult), so "shiny" is still a somewhat valid reason.

For those that have responded to my... *flinches* post... It is by no means an excuse, but I can only say in my defense that in trying to convey my dismay at the 'lol mega sord!' and 'shiny, shiny heart' train of thought; I, inexcusably, let myself get worked up. Even worse is that I knew it was inflammatory, even after two re-writes to get it to that state, that it was, while still offensive, less offensive than the first two drafts. In the first draft, I even acknowledged that the player base was trying to have fun with this quest. (I.E. kind of cracky) But, between the undercurrent of people quite literally dismissing the effort needed to make the sword as just running around combat zones, or chucking heroes or babies into make the heart... I couldn't help but conclude that others were trying to encourage unreasonable expectations for voting choices.
The OP even stated in the post listing the keys, that the efforts would not be simple, nor easy. And instead, right off the bat we get "lol, lets go to Afgahn, we'll make the sword in one trip!" and immediately following that was "Hero's blood for the BLOOD GOD! PURE SOULS FOR THE EVER HEART!" So, yeah... I was a little ticked at how much of a joke several posters were taking the vote for. And then came the 'lol lets spin interpretations' ...
So, yeah, it's not an excuse, it's not even a good reason, but the irreverent, lackadaisical attitude was... aggravatingly off putting. Here's another attempt at an omake. I'm not 100% sure if this is actually how enchantment magic works, but I at least wanted to convey a bit of why mages are trying to track down Ebon's identity.

Atticus' recent enchantables are insane. They clearly weren't made by him. They don't have his crafter's stamp on it. There's nothing on here that offers a hint on whoever made this.
Because whoever it is, the crafter clearly knows their business. To a frightening degree.
This is what I know:
Enchantments are not easy by nature. There are so many things that go into enchanting something that I probably should remember, but slept through in the academy. But at bare minimum, all materials have magical signatures attached to them. And it all has a say on how it's made, how it exists, and how it's changed.
Most things will work the way you'd expect. Just because that TV dinner was made by mundane means doesn't mean it can't be warmed or heated by magical means. (For the record, stick to a microwave. The last time I tried that, the meal exploded, and the meeting room smelled like minimart spaghetti for a week)
But if you want to enchant something? That's different. Enchantment is making a permanent and lingering change to an object. When we think of enchantments on top of that, it's projecting an effect it did not have before you started. And objects don't generally like it when you try to force a permanent change in nature to them.
(No wonder most of the detentions came from the enchantments classes)
You need agreeable materials. Materials whose energy signatures are inert enough that the enchantment will stick around instead of getting dispersed. Kind of like if you drop food dye into a pool of water; a still body of water will let the food coloring spread around, while a river or a whirlpool will laugh and sweep it away. This is why enchanted items are such a big deal. It means you went out of your way to find or make common materials with unusual properties. And that usually means magic was used to change the property of the common material to force it to work with you. Usually, divine magic or infernal magic will make the materials docile enough, but those have their own share of headaches, which is why we generally don't bother. But even then, you could always detect the magic signatures that made it that way.
What Atticus managed to offload onto the market is insane. Because I cannot detect any prior magics that made the materials this way. It's like they were always like that. Now what we have are enchantable accessories that can take whatever enchantments you want and cheerfully go along with them, no problems and no questions asked!
He won't say anything. Whoever his source for this is must have sworn him to secrecy. Not that that's stopping a few of the others. While the Fallen One's items are running around and making everyone collectively lose their minds, there's still a few out there who are organizing posses to find the guy who made this stuff…they're welcome to it.
I get this feeling that if you can make something like this in bulk, then you're dealing with problems way above the normal guy.

Can we pull a Caster and slowly and subtly drains mana from an entire city or something? And use hypnotism and memory alteration so the public will just dismiss it as gas leaks and people being too tired and falling asleep.
Oh and if you don't want to attack humans, we could just attack Heaven and Hell and drain the life/mana/soul from angels and demons, pretty sure they will have higher quality than a human anyway. Even better if we attack Heaven while looking like a demon, and attack Hell while looking like a holy being to goad them into a war. Then we just kidnap 7 angels and 7 demons to be used for the Everheart or something.

Book of Ebon is the Book of Darkness Expy from Nanoha season 2. Ripping magic out from the person's magic core cripples their magic for a while like in Nanoha.
It's less full blown violence and Conflict that's needed, Conflict between many different various forces. Also fucking Alternative Universe! Plus you need a large scale magic array to collect vehemic energy and you can't just go to another place to go pick up day worth of warfare either since it doesn't work like that.
