Gravity Falls?

Any sleepy suburb nearby that has plenty of kids (and probably an SEP field).

Phineas and Ferb.
Also, pass because they're good kids, same reasons as above report.

No idea, but I admit... I was tempted to call it Brockton Bay. :V

Maybe Shadowrun?
The Answers: How I imagine these settings

- Gypsy Cove - Gravity Falls (Gravity Falls) mixed with elements from Jake Long: American Dragon (Magical World Masquerade Guardian in training) and Courage the Cowardly Dog
- Random Neighborhood - Cul De Sac (Ed, Edd, and Eddy)
- Quad State Area - Tri State Area (Phineas and Ferb) (obvious as hell)
- New Harbor City - San Francisco meshed with Silicon Valley and maybe Chicago (Watch Dogs 2) (I'm tempted to add an element of Invader Zim just for kicks) (Actually it would explain a lot as to why this place is as technologically advanced as having a Professor Membrane around)

I'm tempted to do a Brockton Bay type city now that you mentioned it. There is no one on this page that would NAZI that coming
 :ogles:  :lol  :lol

Omake?

It had been years since you last saw a wound upon your own flesh. Usually, it was you responsible for the splattering of blood that was not yours against the ground. Trees. Walls. Any possible surface, really. Now though, the tables had been turned. Despite the rather grim situation however, you still found levity within you. Even as blood pooled into your hands, and slip past your pale fingers.

What had once been the epitome of beauty, now found itself torn and ravaged by carelessness. By weakness born from the bonds made with others. As you laid yourself against the ruined walls of a past ruler's tomb, nothing but hatred began to bubble from within. You had trusted that person with your life. With everything that had been dear to you and more! Saved them, taught them, raised them as if they were your own flesh and blood!

A torrential storm of memories rampaged beneath your dimming sight. Where instead of lightning, important events flashed in your vision. Of your first kill. Of your first success. How you turned around even the greatest of setbacks into miraculous victories that would leave everyone gaping in awe. Of which you did! None of it was a dream! And speaking of dreams, you weren't even close to accomplishing yours!

More than to rule the world, less than becoming a god! All you wanted was to understand the actual Why of this world. Of existence and existence's sake. You had no desire to change it; merely to see the destination and strive for it.

Yet with how much blood you had lost, you couldn't even form a fist. All of the magic you had accumulated over the countless years of your existence could not be formed. The infinite well of power within you as distant as the fading light of your vision. Even a pitiful scream was far too costly for what little strength you had left.

Thus, you settled for screaming within your head. Releasing as many curses and forbidden words; taboos and rituals you had learned throughout your tenure as a living being. None of them would matter in the end, all of this you knew, yet a spark of hope rose. That maybe you actually knew a spell, or a ritual, or some devil-forsaken deal that allowed you to defy the Grim Reaper and his scythe.

And so you continued rage. To hate. To scream. To beg, grieve, shout, demand, plea, and deny the very reality that was happening to you. Until the moment where you knew that the last breath had left you. Where your lungs and heart had failed. Finally, then, where even your very mind laid itself to rest.

But who knew?

Maybe in the next life, you'd have another chance at success?

After all, the underworld must have had a King. And you always were rather good with Kings.

The Ebon Emperor's perspective?
None the less, a Good Omake!!

I really want to start a omake with these series. Especially the last one.
I just realized when i looked back at our previous turns that Ebon has a EMP like effect on electronics... This gives me bad ideas :drevil:  :ogles:

Not quite @NIghtmareNursery.

The omake thing I wrote was more so meant for one of the initial options during character generation.

The Dark Revenant to be specific, and what might have happened because the Ebon Emperor chose Jacob instead.

Eight toolbar button tabs from the right hand side of the toolbar, the button that looks like a document. Click on it, it'll drop down a menu, one of the options is "spoiler." Select, type in a title, click continue, and it'll produce spoiler tags.

Like so.

Manually, the tags are as follows (without underscores) [_SPOILER_="Name"_] Text to be spoiler'ed here. [_/_SPOILER_]

Incase you don't know where the edit link is, in the bottom left of your posts there are several links, one says edit. click, and it'll bring up a pop up to add things into a posted post. Likewise the delete link will bring up a pop up to delete a post, and ask for a reason.

Thank you!!

Talking about other setting has gotten me thinking...what are the odds of us meeting Aliens?
And what type, the monstrous mind breaking versions or the anime version?

This is a very fun quest, however I have two questions:

  1. Are Ebon Magical Girls, classed as Dark Magical Girls or are they regular Magical Girls, who just happen to be working for an evil entity?
  2. Would it be possible for us to make Ebon Magical Girls out of Magical Girls from other groups ? [For example, would it possible to steal Aestia Creed and her squad from the Company and make them Ebon Magical Girls]

Thematically, they're dark, but functionally they're normal; functional dark magical girls are called witches, and work with the big wraith monstery things. And as for the second question, well... we can do everything else? *Shrugs*

If we do that, well have to prepare for a war with the Company, considering I doubt they would like it very much if we were to steal their employees especially considering they originally got their power from them, and that investment cant be returned. How many wishing stones do they have?

Maybe not War but a take over?

Remember The MG need us. we can do this like a "cut the head and take the body"

Expecily if they got a kybey like secret.

I'm content with just being "the other option/the alternative" for all Company MGs.

No coercion, but they're welcome to stay at our place... and get dark highlights while they're at it.

The tabs for our allies character sheets don't quite work on mobile. The bottom parts are cut off.

Okay, I apologise for being quiet for the last couple of weeks. Getting back into the groove of university sucks. Plus I'm feeling the block AND THE burn-out.

However, in order to break through this block, I'm gonna do a spin-off quest of this quest.

Where a clone of Jacob gets caught in one of Evetta's teleportation network experiments and ends up in another dimension.

Hopefully after I've done a couple of updates for that, I'll feel motivated to continue writing this quest.

A Small Incident
For the last week, while you've been busy with a whole bunch of other stuff such as recruiting your very own magical girl, helping out a friend, and generally doing Ebon Lord things, Evetta has been busy working on her own personal projects. Today, Evetta has finished one of them. Everyone who was available had gathered in Evetta's workshop. Yuudai was leaning against the wall with his usual brooding expression. Several Shadows were watching from the sidelines with several of the new denizens riding on top of those shadow's heads. You don't know where the other denizens came from. Your clone even showed up today to die so that you could get his memories.

"So...what is it?" You ask the living doll as you stand in front of what could be described as a very large...lens?

"It is an Omniscope." Evetta answers with pride.

"Okay. What does an Omniscope do?" You clarify.

"Ah, my apologies. Allow me to explain." Evetta's attempt to explain the function of the Omniscope quickly fills up with magical jargon that made little sense to you. All you got from it was that the Omniscope allowed you to look into past, present, and future of multiple timelines...somehow. You're having a hard time wrapping your head around the whole deal but it sounds neat.

"Hey, I have a test tomorrow. Can this thing show me the answers?" Jacob suddenly asks. He rubs the back of his head when everyone turn towards him, "I didn't study since I was busy with stuff."

"Very well then! I suppose it is a suitable aim for our first test run of the Omniscope." Evetta claps her hand and some kind of control panel appears before the Omniscope. "Now then Jacob, I would like you to place your hand on this part here."

Moving to the back of the area, you watch with slight interest as Jacob follows Evetta's instructions. After a few minutes of adjustments by Evetta, the doll than pulls something familiar out from his clothes.

"Evetta, where did you get that Ebon Star?" You ask, staring at the black rainbow-tinged star-shaped crystal in Evetta's hand.

"Please remember that I too was involved with the creation of the first Ebon Star. It is a simple task for me to create my own Ebon Star. Worry not, Lord Jacob, this one was created for the sole purpose powering the Omniscope." With that, Evetta places the extremely powerful object full of eldritch magical power into a slot next to Jacob's hand. "Now then, Jacob. Please focus on what you want to see." With a twist of her hand, Evetta activates the Omniscope.

Which that, it proceeds to explode.

You aren't quite sure what happened about the Omniscope suddenly exploded. According to Yuudai who had avoided the initial blast, the Omniscope exploded before imploding as a miniature black hole appeared. Evetta, thanks to her quick reaction and experience, had immediately grappled away to safety.

Unfortunately for your clone, as well as several shadows and denizens, was sucked into the black hole which then collapsed on itself and disappeared, along with Evetta's Ebon Star which she had been using for the Omniscope.

"....Well, that was a thing." You mutter as you survey the damage to the area. You turn to Evetta who looks away in both shame and embarrassment over the horrific failure of her project. "...You are to be supervised by a clone of myself during your personal projects."

Looking back at the devastation, you note that you didn't receive any memories from the death of your clone. "Tch, well that sucks. Now I don't know what tomorrow's test is on."

At least the clone died quickly you think.

Elsewhere on an alternate Earth somewhere in the multiverse, a hole ripped itself open in the fabric of reality and deposited an unconscious young man along with several black creatures and a glowing star-shaped gem before closing up.

Welp, that's one way for the Black Kingdom to establish itself in another reality.

... Now, in a scale from 1-10, how well could this go, if it could potentially lead to additional actions/research projects being potentially done if we can get in contact, somehow...

... Assuming such a thing could still happen? Oh, the plot potential of that, omake wise... Assuming it doesn't end up with a case of either Heroes of Light panic, or Nier tier horror episode. :p
