Probably a decent bit. It's also a pretty bad idea on many levels. First, we may or may not be more powerful. Second, even if we are he seems like the sort of person who has quite a few tricks up his sleeve. Third, kidnapping your fence is a bad idea. Especially one that's magically bound to never tell who you are. Fourth, kidnapping friends parents is just rude and not done. The level of drama isn't worth it. Fifth, kidnapping good guys in general declares us as Evil, and right now we're actually working with them.

Keep in mind that aside from dealing with a few rapists and other unsavory sorts we haven't actually done anything "Evil." The longer we can keep this streak up the better.

No, we're totes bad. What we aren't right now is morally indefensible, and that's what trips up the sentimental types.
 
I remember that the Part 01 of Rosylen's Bad Day said something about a servant homunculus, Jacob needs one, no, he needs a team of them!!

That's an interesting tag you have. I run into the opposite problem with things like the Nanoha quest I follow. When you don't have enough power you have to make hard choices. Dealing with people in a civilized manner only works if you aren't one bad die roll from dying. If a single bad roll can cause the entire quest to go pear shaped I'm going to advocate for whatever it takes to prevent it. Morals run straight into survival.

That's not an issue in this quest. Jacob has enough power that he doesn't have to be absolutely ruthless. I mean he is to those he feels deserve it, but he's not out torturing his friends. Because, he doesn't need to. He's not destroying buildings and city blocks because he's not likely to get one shotted.

I think if we keep upgrading our golem creation skills we can eventually make a motorcycle into a golem. :D

Edit: If you realistically gave me that much power, I can guarantee that I'm gonna go genocidal at one point

I feel like any hypothetical Motorcycle Golem would less be an actual tool Ebon feels the need to ever use, and more a vanity project to play with his engineering skills and give Jacob a sick 'mundane' vibe that plays up his delinquent status. Because let's be real gentlemen, we don't really have much practical use or need for a weaponizable motorcycle.

If we need a fast mount that is on the ground? We have our crazy awesome Warbeast of WTF. If we need a stealthy insertion? Well sub-sonic is still going to be faster than what we can feasibly achieve on the ground with a motorcycle. Weaponized mount? Warbeast again. And we can hide that one's existence easier than a transforming motorcycle out of combat.

Don't get me wrong, it's cool, a motorcycle fits Jacob, and it might actually be a bit useful in certain situations for him- but let's not pretend compared to so many other things it's a vanity project.

Oh it's certainly nothing but a vanity project, and I'm not planning on actually voting on any such thing. If we really want to get from point A to point B we'd work on the teleportation and teleportation network.

On the other hand, larger Golems would be useful to disguise as things our friends and family members use. Not for spying on them, but if Dad's car is a Golem (Transformers!) he's got backup if anything happens.

I will say, if we ever run an operation where we need to disguise it as purely mundane, one that includes hauling a significant amount of material, having a Golem semi truck would be absolutely amazing.

But even then, we have zero reason to believe our family is under any threat at all- we already have something of a protection detail already on them anyways. Probably better to use Golems as pickets and observers to call in more combat capable reinforcements than simply invest all that effort into making powerful enough golems.
 
So I say we start hunting Evil mages, as well as the pages of this book. It gives us a bad feeling, so we need to capture them.

Heck, let's just say Jacob found someone magical when he realized there were holes in his memory, leading to him becoming a Magic Rider Grimm Knight on his own.
