One Piece isn't the same without Luffy as the Captain idiots! The chain of command is based off on who met Luffy first! Taylor then Zoro!

Keeping the Captain, and second/third in command spots for reasons I already gave...but no reason we can't have other specialties listed in no particular order. Maybe it will give Raven ideas.

[X]Chronicler/Ship Defenses: Bartolomeo

I personally think it'd be weird if Zoro weren't first mate (even if that's the way it's probably gonna go; although I'll say it might be a +1 to Zoro's sense of direction if he has to defer to someone other than Monkey D. "Wherever Adventures Takes Me" Luffy  ).

Also, why not have Barto put the future Pirate King's story to paper? He was in charge of a recap episode after Dressrosa, after all and did so in the form of interviewing some of the Crew. Also, he's perfect for holding off cannon-fire or other attacks on the ship, especially since we're in pre-Franky territory here. And since the Bezan Black/Bast's Pride is a pretty damn big ship that could be sunk pretty easily by upcoming foes.

Taylor should talk to Garp. Get him to talk about his life in the Marines, and why he is so feared/respected.

He just has to know he isn't the smartest person on the ship. He is really, really stupid, but he knows that much.

What Luffy has is empathy and charisma for days, weeks, however long the journey takes and beyond.

That makes him a Captain.

No, this make a great morale officer. The only thing Luffy so far has for him as a great captain is his huge luck and the ability to always smile. Luffy is just not ready to be captain yet. Hell so far he has only been captain in name only.

Taylor is a competent leader and knows how to organize stuff. That makes her a great second.
Now this makes a great Captain. She also knows how to use her crew/fiends to the best of their abilities.

Zoro takes no shit and can intimidate or brute force into compliance if needed. A good thing to have for a subordinate commander as well.

This could be a number two or number 3 depending on where Taylor stands

Nami is out for reasons I already gave. She's busy with other jobs/hobbies, and we don't want the greedy one (Queenie described her as such) in a position of authority like that.

Now this is blatantly not true if this was not stated I would most likely let this post slide and moved on. Most likely the only reason they made it as far as the ship has is because of Nami's hording. Food is not free, water is not free, crews are not free (though is show theirs was. But it was small), wood is not free, coal or tender is not free, soap is not free, salt may or may not be free. Just because the supplies were bought off-screen does not been they were not obtained just like it is not shown unless for gags when they go to bathroom but it happens. Now I ask you who bought the supplies, well that would have to be Nami because she was in control of the ship's gold.

We shouldn't feed Queenie's ego any further with an actual command spot for her.
Yes this is very true but we love her anyways

Kaya is still a sort-of client, sort of ship diplomat. So he has her specialty and isn't really suited to combat command anyway.
Another thing you posted that is very true. If in game, and we used her she would be treated as a green unit we don't control in combat it does it own thing. Though we can ask things of her.

Sadly I don't think even Taylor would be a great captain at this point also. She does not drive enough yet to want to be one.

It seems to largely work for the Strawhats in canon. They're doing well.
In canon Luffy should have died at least 5 times by the time his brother died not including movies. Only reason he did not is his bullshit luck/plot armor. When his luck ran out he would obtain plot armor++.

But this isn't canon. Then again, Luffy, Taylor, Zoro isn't canon either.
Which means we are not playing easy mode anymore we are playing hard mode while not you will die edition it is hard mode. If they try to pull the old win vs SP9 in this story they all will end up truly dead or if lucky prison.

Luffy is the heart of the crew, he's also the visionary in a sense-wanting his crew to all achieve their dreams.
god he is such a great morale officer. Kind of like the flash in justice league don't know what you had till you lose him. Also remember this is no longer canon he is not the center of the crew now. Though love Taylor may have stolen Zoro, Though smarts and friendship we have Nami and Kaya. Though Kaya we have Sogeking. I know we are missing a guy but I feel he would be the only one at this point to side with Luffy

That's part of the reason Taylor shouldn't be captain. Let go of some control.
The first time she did that she lost all her friends she had to take back control to get them back. She had to take all the control to save the world. Fuck the last time she gave up control she got shot in the head and then "That bitch Contessa left her" on a island.

The crew has been sailing for weeks now. They're all getting by
This is with no plan and no real captain was running the show.
Taylor as second can ask the others for advice.
Ummm no a good leader always ask/delegates to the people of the best know how in a given situation.

Tashigi actually would make a solid third if she was more assertive. I think she could fit into the role. Certainly better than Nami, who would without a doubt ruthlessly abuse actual authority. I'd consider it if Zoro and Nami weren't neck and neck for third.

This should be more written Tashigi actually would make a solid third if she was a crew member. I think also she would make a great third but sadly she belongs more to Garp then the crew. Tashigi is a Navy officer that means training to be an officer, so she would be a great #2 or #3

She bullies the crew on money matters and other things as it is. Don't give her actual legitimacy.
As stated above this is how she has kept the crew a live this long.
.
.
Lastly For the people that are posting Cap: Luffy 2nd: Zoro i don't see Taylor staying with the ship after Luffy nearly gets them all killed the 2nd time if not the 1st time as long as he is captain.

Also did everybody forget about Chapter 71

"Tashigi shifted nervously on the spot until she looked over to Garp. The Marine gave her a nod." see not crew yet

Taylor's booted foot clunking onto the last free spot on the barrel. "I'm going to help my... friends. And I'm going to become strong enough that I never have 'no other choice' again."
If you serve under somebody, and they tell you to do something that can put you into a position where to keep your vow you have to either leave or break the one making you break your vow.

Luffie's dream was never to be Captain it has always been to be King of the Pirates. Wonder when Taylor is going to train/explain to him about rape, pillage, and slaving. He is to be the king of the pirates means he is to be the worst/best of them all so understanding these things. This could also be used, so she can get him to be the white knight King of the Pirates route in front of Garp to try to swing him into betraying the Navy and joining his Son and grandson in overthrowing the world government.

To be fair, a One Piece pirate is more equivalent to "adventurer who picks and chooses which laws to follow and/or is powerful enough to make their own rules."

Nami is Navigator which when not in a fight or the like means she can take command anyway over the rest.
