    You nodded, and Light who wandered out of your mind… was smiling. "Well." He said. "I was just doing my job as a Psychologist. No need to thank me."

    The Arrogance of a doctor. You shook your head. "It's also you Ralph… you accepted the help, when you had every opportunity to not."

    Ralph nodded. "Thank you."

    Daisy for her part was not trying to steal something from you. In fact, she sat next to you when you were resting after a long day of… cleaning yourself up.

    "Hey." She said as she sat down.

    "Hey." You replied, scratching the burn on your face. "What's going on?"

    "Just wanted to talk." She stated. "So… what happened?"

    "Drone activated it's targeting system before I could erase the protocols," you replied. "It thought I was the enemy."

    Daisy raised an eyebrow. "Oh… So you screwed up."

    "Yep." You replied. "What about you?"

    "Stole something from Dr. Halsey's office… though I think she wanted this file to get to you." Daisy replied, handing over a small file.

    It was not a file, but a very large note.

    "Giancarlo… Whatever you do, do not see the Admiral without me or your father. She will kill you if you go alone… Or do something far worse."

    It had the doctor's signature. Her real signature.

    "Oh." You stated.

    Daisy gave a small nod. "Oh fuck. What have you gotten yourself into this time?"

    "I don't know… but something tells me I won't like it." You replied.

    You gave a nod. "Light, we need to think about our options-" You stated, not even noticing he was close enough to hear you.

    "That you are a reincarnation of a mad scientist who somehow is getting along swimmingly with your soul, and who is not really interested in taking over your body to live for another decade or two?" He stated, not looking up from the drawing notebook he somehow acquired from the Marines.

    Light for his part walked out of your mind's eyes and tried to slap him. "What makes you think I want to live any longer with the things I have done! Helping him to not make my mistakes is my atonement!"

    He then stopped after he realized that it was just going through him like a hologram. "You know, thinking about it, he's actually pretty good… can I try to see the extent of his powers? Perhaps he can assist me in my research of psychic abilities."

    "You studied that?" You asked.

    "I dabbled in it." He replied. "Now I think the big question is, is our dear friend going to betray your secret and lead to you… well, getting dissected."

    "Will you-" You started.

    "Betray you to ONI…" He laughed. "They would be stupid, like most monolithic intelligence agencies of the past who tried to be omnipotent. I think they would be more interested in me seeing the future, than you… having an extra soul in your body who just happens to be smart." He stated.

    "Being sure?" He asked.

    "Yeah. I prefer Light to remain a secret right now." You stated.

    He gave a nod. "I know. Same with mine, if that's possible."

    It was one of those moments that were etched in your head… how to introduce yourself.

    But they introduced themselves to you.

    Kelly was, for a lack of a better word, twitchy. She was always on the move, capable of extreme bursts of speed at any given moment. You didn't know if it was the fact she was jumpy from caffeine and she was trying to cause the good doctor a headache, or she was just always like that.

    You were hoping for the former, and not the latter.

    She was terrifying enough just being so fast.

    Sam was… well… You didn't know what to think about Sam. you knew he was bullheaded, intelligent, but always liked being the strongest, and protecting those who could not… truly protect themselves.

    An admirable trait. Though the fact he sometimes played vicious pranks could not be understated, as for every good deed he had… well, there was always another prank.

    And John.

    You didn't really know much about John. everyone looked up to him as a leader, and you would follow him right and well no matter the occasion if he asked…

    But he was… aloof.

    That and he was lucky as hell, and always tried to win in everything.

    "Hey." You stated, smiling.

    "Hello." John stated.

    "Hey." Kelly and Sam said at the same time.

    "So… What's up?" You asked.

    "Don't know. Just wanted to make sure you are okay after all this stuff." Sam replied.

    "Thanks." you stated.

    But before you left, John gave you a nod of acceptance, as if he saw something in you, that even you did not see.

    I am not sure what improvements we gave halsey tho so that has me confused?
     
    the next invention should be plasma shields, the sooner the UNSC has plasma shields that can be scaled up to ships the sooner 30 billion humans don't die. Most of the time the UNSC fought almost evenly with the covenant on the ground, this didn't matter in the end because the covenant would wipe away the fleet w/o a 3:1 advantage and then just glass the planet afterwards.

    After that what would be cool imo would be a weapons upgrade like a rail gun or if even more advanced a forerunner rhardlaight weapon. Or you could go fictional and use a something like a lasgun :p

    You'll be able to choose what MJOLNOR upgrades you get when you finally get the armor... and it is, very very awesome.

    Like: Lets be able to steal a ship by yourself, levels of awesome.

    Also, you get to choose what you invent.

    On other hand.. maybe can figure out something that we seen before to throw admiral off her game

    Given Halseys reaction to the Reclaimer glyph, seems shes been briefed on Onyx in this timeline.. and if we figure out its rather strange that for as long as humanity been spacefaring, yet no signs of any sapient life. Like its been entire "dead space"..maybe can tell that these genes we are picking up may have something to do with the whole Reclaimer mantle...

    We'll see what people say when the Covenant comes-a-knockin'. At that point having (low grade) super soldiers rolling out by the million (or billion) in twenty years time seems like a sweet dream you pray you live long enough to see.

    thinking about it why upgrade everyone. If you can superdrive the Geas placed there by the librarian then you can honestly reach the forerunner tech level pretty fast. In halo lore the geas help invent the shaw-fujikawa trans light engine (slip space) and the conical bullet. but the geas is a forerunner BS magic thing that they probably won't find
