We Will Never Die: Rebooted (A Halo Spartan Quest)

*Steps back, expresion empty, hollow*
O-O-Ok, Senpai i'll leave you alone, i'll just go back to grandfather, in the basement... there are many worms down there...
*Goes back to the shadows*

...
I think i made the reference too obvious, but meh, a cookie for anyone who gets it.

Its difficult to miss Nasu. Its not exactly obscure media.

In any case, I expect us to already start seeing how poorly we mesh with mundanes. Troubling unchildlike behavior and everything. This is probably going to result in shat pants and urban legends or creepypasta.

First; Yay! Here's your cookie it's filled with worms, just like Her.

Second; I can already see it! 'Don't go out in the night or the dead eye'd child will eat you soul...!'
It'll be glorious...!

Honestly, I might drop out of the Quest soon. 'Might' being the Keyword.

No offense to anyone here, but it's hard enough to get into a new Franchise anyways. And with the Threads seeming Determination to stay as far away as possible from one of the few Reference-Points I have for this...

I'll... say this, I believe that you are in your complete right to abandon a Quest, it's just something that brings fun to people, I have done the same many times.

But I think this could have been worded better, it can sound somewhat insulting to some people.

About John: I can understand that you may feel like that, I also have those moments of frustration when the quest doesn't go the way you like, I have dropped many quests because of that, but the thing is that there are a lot of peole who also want to see other SPARTAN's besides John, it's not that we aren't going to interact with him, but many here feel that they already have seen a lot of Master Chief and just want to see new characters or characters that were passed by in canon, it's not that we these people don't want to interact with Master Chief, we will, undoubtly so, it's just that we are focusing in us and our team for the time being.

Anyways, I wish to invite you to continue in this quest, but if you still want to leave, then i have nothing more to say that i hope you can find another good quest to entretain you with, I wish the best to you buddy!

I mean, it was a close vote, Blue team won one of the previous ones, and we'll be all of 3 posts into the Spartan program when the next one goes up. I wouldn't give up just yet.

The Ten Rules of Giancarlo-131 (The Spartan Doctors Rules)
The Ten Rules of Giancarlo-131

(The Spartan Doctors Rules)

Rule 1: If he gives an order, follow it to the letter. It does not matter if an admiral or the President of the UGE is giving an order. If Gian considers you injured enough not to continue, he will go to war to make sure you remain safe.

Rule 2: When resting, pick up a hobby. The last thing he wants is you all going insane because you got a little to into your training as kids.

Rule 3: When you receive an opinion from the Doctors... go to Giancarlo... He's more experienced than all of them in the medical field.

Rule 4: If you need to cry, come to him... he does not care. In fact, he thinks it will make you feel better, then just bottling it up.

Rule 5: Do not abuse his kindness. Or he will make your life hell... worse than the covenant.

Rule 6: If you think you are going to die... you won't. He will never give up on you, even if you're dead... cause you aren't dead until he says you are.

Rule 7: Gian talks to himself all the time. He is not insane, he's just coped like that... We all have that kind of tick.

Rule 8: Do not steal his coffee. He's worse then Halsey when it comes to that beautiful brown liquid.

Rule 9: He still accepts volunteers for his experiments. No, you cannot run away when he chooses you for them.

Rule 10: If you do die, wait for him... He doesn't want to leave to the great beyond alone.

AN: Here... have a side thing.

Esspecially when I've got at least twenty posts planned until we even get to the augmentations.

We have time.

So... We are now The Doctor, heh.

I'd advise maybe poking your head in after a few updates if that is the case. Sometimes a quest builds up a certain degree of momentum after a bit that makes it easier to get into.

You can literally blame my contribution on a quarter minted in 2000. I was completely neutral there, personally.

I didn't mean to sound insulting, but I apologize if I did.

I guess part of the Problem is that I'm just not a Halo-Fan. This Quest is literally the first time ever I have anything to do with the Franchise aside from some Stuff I picked up through Pop-Culture Osmosis, like there being a War between Humanity and a Race of Religious Alien Fanatics called the Covenant and Master Chief being a Badass and a complex Character who I think would be interesting to interact with, etc.
I just don't have the Relationship with the Franchise that makes me interested to see new Stuff in it and right now just find the few Things I do know a bit about more interesting. I'm probably taking this all way too hard, but this push in the Thread to keep away from the Stuff I'd like to see more of is slowly killing the fun for me.
Mind you, I consider that to be entirely my own Fault and Problem for trying to pick up a Quest about a Franchise I know next to nothing about. I completely understand why long-time Fans of it are more interested in exploring other Stuff.

That said, I'm gonna stick around for a while longer yet. Maybe the upcoming Parts of the Quest will be totally awesome and really get me invested, so who knows?

New Alexandria 1: A Strange Affair
New Alexandria 1: A Strange Affair

You awoke with a blistering headache and light standing over you, looking at your face like you were… well, in a compromising position. Which given the circumstances, was not the worst thing you could imagine.

After all, you were sprawled out on a wooden floor of an apartment…

You looked around and saw Daisy standing up, holding onto the table as if she was drunk. Or drugged… or just exhausted, one of those options was probably true in some way shape or form.

"Enjoy the nap sleeping beauty?" Light stated as you sat up.

"No, It feels like I was shot in the head." You replied. Your head really hurt.

"Well, you weren't. We've just been drugged, kidnapped, and are being held in New Alexandria, Reach." he replied, looking at you with boredom on his face.

"How do you know that?" You asked. You certainly didn't.

"I listened while you were unconscious, very difficult by the way, your ears were a bit turned off. Muffled the whole damn thing up." He replied.

"You can do that?" You asked.

"Of course, I'm you." He replied with a smile. "Now, best get up and help your compatriots, something tells me you are… going to need her."

You gave a nod. "Yeah, thanks Light."

He gave a small nod and vanished back into your mind.

"Hey, Gian, get up, we've gotta get out of here," Daisy replied. "Besides, what am I going to do with all this money our kidnappers left us." She grinned and showed a very large stack of Credits. "Plus we should be getting home."

You groaned as you stood up, your legs feeling like Jello. But you could still stand under your own power.

"Give me a sec… I need to get my legs working again." You stated.

The Apartment was sparse, and very well furnished. There was a plasma screen on the wall, with a couch, a few chairs, and a coffee table. There was possibly a room, maybe two if you were feeling adventurous. It was a luxury apartment… one fit for a family.

You rubbed your eyes and held onto the table, as Daisy walked over to you. "You okay?"

"Yeah." You stated. "Where's the money?"

Daisy showed a large stack of money.

UGE Energy Credits backed both by the industrial might of the UGE civilian government, the UNSC, and… several thousand planets. The most stable currency in the human arm of the galaxy, with the local equivalents on Earth, Reach, and the Inner colonies not even holding a candle to the buying power it had.

She had well over one hundred thousand in her hand… a sizable sum.

"Oh." That was enough to buy a small house. "That's a lot of money."

"Yeah, I woke up and picked their pockets when they were carrying us looking for ID… they only had this." She replied sheepishly.

You somehow doubted that… Partially because she liked stealing things of value. "Daisy." you groaned, folding your eyes. "We could have gotten intel."

"Well… that was all I pulled out of the pocket." She replied.

You shrugged… that was not going to do...but it would have to do.

"Well come on. We need to get moving." You stated.

"Or we could wait for our kidnappers and interrogate them" She replied with a smile. "Get our intel then."

She had a point… but you would rather get back to base… after spending a not so lengthy amount of time in the city.

What do you do?:
[]Stay here, Ambush you're kidnappers: You are going to interrogate these fools and make them wish they hadn't taken you.

[]Leave: You want to go explore the city. Put some distance between you and this place.

If You Leave, what do you do?:
(Choose 2)

[]Go buy some Food: God your starving...Hmm Moa Burger, sounds tasty.

[]Field Trip Blues: Hmm… The school is gathering for classes… You're going to blend in, make sure you aren't followed. After all, who would look for a kidnapped child in a school?

[]Child Protective Services: You are going to leverage the fuck out of your situation, to get some much needed… revenge on ONI for kidnapping you. You know even ONI is scared of CPS, and your entire situation is a clusterfuck waiting to happen.

[]Contact the Base: You think you remember the Base Phone number… you only saw it once on Halsey's desk, on her phone.

[]Steal a Car: well you need to get back to base one way or another… might as well borrow a car.

[]Search for the Others: You remembered one or two of your fellow Spartans getting chosen to come to New Alexandria, a gift from Mendez for being amazing Trainees… Maybe you can find them.

[]Start Walking: You're going to Walk back to base… Might as well. You need this time to think.

[]Browse Waypoint: You need to look up a few things on Waypoint… things that will help you in your future inventions.

AN: Enjoy.

Bad vote, can only choose two options if you leave.

Well, ONI's HQ in the City is Olympic Tower

So, unless we want to cause some havoc there, avoid the place.. though on the other side.. stealing some of ONI's high value project could prove a boost for our own devices.. heh
