Does [] really have omnipotence? It's connected to the root, sure, but that doesn't mean it is Akasha, or can use all of its power. It's competitive with servants, not far above them.

This is the same person who said she could remake the planet if she wanted to.

And hey, Nasu's on record saying a Servants better then 「」 to some extent, since supposedly she could only fight a defensive battle with them.

Man, Nasuverse power levels hurt my head sometimes.

The thing you have to remember is that only 25% of the data we have is gathered from on screen showings, side material, and the like. The other 75% is random things Nasu shouted at interviewers to make them leave him alone so he could play more Dark Souls.

"Ciel could fight a defensive battle against Arcuied who would lose to Gilgamesh who can be beaten by Diarmuid who has poor battle compatibility against Kotomine Kirei who would lose to Ciel."

As I mentioned the last time this came up - there's a difference between "power" and "combat ability." If it takes five minutes of concentration to retcon a Servant out of existence, the Servant will kill you a thousand times over in that time.

Mind, a lot of that is contextual. Arc vs Gil involves Ea, wheras Gil vs Diarmuid involves Gil being his normal incompetent self while Lancelot and Diar are working together.

(also, the win strategy for Diarmuid doesn't even work against Gil, as not only does Gil have Budiche proof armor, he probably has something in there to deal with a curse. If he doesn't, he would certainly not have any issue exterminating Diarmuid with his full arsenal. I guess that does feed into your point though)

Actually, when does he say Ciel could fight defensibly against Arc, and Diarmuid would lose to Kirei?

Surprisingly, powerlevels are not absolute. There's such things as compatibility, circumstances and matchups.

Also Void's not some absolute being of infinite powerlevel, or at least has never shown herself as such. Maybe she can't actually retcon people. In many philosophies being omnipotent is equated with being powerless, and contradiction & yin yang has always been a central theme with Ryougi anyways.

If she can fight Servants it's at Ryougi's physical level. Which is, you know, orders of magnitude different from a Servant's physical level.

I'm pretty sure I got at least two or three steps of the cycle of confusion wrong, since I threw that out off the top of my head without bothering to check the relevant Nasu quotes beforehand.

So.

A thought. Berserker Cu in Grand Order is Mebd trying and failing to hack the Grail for a perfect husbando, not an actual Cu that ever existed. Jeanne Alter is Gilles trying to hack the Grail for a perfect waifu and hitting the jackpot, not an actual Jeanne.

Does that mean that Kojiro is no longer alone in the sad clubhouse of "Servants who didn't actually exist", now he has two friends he can hang out with?
