Does anyone know the chant to summon a Servant for Grail War? Does everybody use the same chant or does every master make up their own?

I believe it varies slightly between masters and wars. Rin's was not the same as Kiritsugu's was not the same as they used in Apo, etc.

My Room Lines (NEW) (translated by random anon) - Pastebin.com

Void Shiki
Bond 1:
>Master. Have I been of use to you? I don't know very well myself. So, please tell me.

Bond 2:
> You can use your Command Spells more. Being ordered around is fun. Is it because anyone is fine, or is it because you are special? I still do not know.

Bond 3:
>Actually, I can't sleep. That's why I'm always lonely at night. It's frustrating, like I'm missing something. But, it's a perk to be able to look at your sleeping face. It would be wonderful if I could appear in your dream to protect you.

Bond 4:
>Even though I had a rule not to develop attachment to anything, I seem to have ended up breaking that rule. Fufu, it's just like a doll yearning to become human. Wanting to become such an inconvenient form...seems like something has happened to me. This is your fault you know? Master.

Bond 5:
>This emotion is...love, isn't it. Even though neither human logic nor rationality mean anything to me, for you, I can commit any wrong. This is something I shouldn't say but, I ended up saying it...then, Master, what is it that you wish for? Ufufu. It's just a joke.

Amakusa
>Master, if you don't head out soon, I'll be offended you know?

>Yes, for as long as you justly save the world, I am your Servant.

>There's no problem. If, however, you give me an unreasonable order...

>I love everything in this pitiful world. Even if that love will never reach.

>Tyranny, violation, genocide. Those are the things that I detest above all else.

>My wish for the Grail? I have one but, it's a secret.

No Mebd myroom lines? Awww.

literally almost anything can be a chant. a wolf's cry to live counted. shirou's survival instincts counted. you can say a bunch of made up crap and just summon a servant as long as you are chosen by the grail. kiritsugu mentions that the chant is practically just a random formality since the grail is what summons, not the summoner.

here are the bond lines, but i cant find the whole myroom dialogue.
Bond 1: Ufufu, that's quite a cute face you're making. Let me see more of your smile! Very well, I can make that kind of face too. Ufufu.
Bond 2: There is a man I hate. Do you know? He's Ulster's Cu Chulainn. The man who won't become mine. The true king. I...
Bond 3: Your profile...yup, yup, how beautiful! I want to talk to you, just the two of us!
Bond 4: I made many kings and heroes mine. All of them fell in love with my smile. What about me? Well. Love...what is it like, I wonder. I...
Bond 5: People say things about me. The woman of many affairs*, Queen Medb. But, I wonder why. What is love? Is it to want something? If that so, I have been in love many times. But...but, what I had, was it truly 'love'?
*恋多き女 is a woman of many affairs, woman who lives for love, a woman who has had many lovers. Take your pick.

Thanks. I think I can get away with a shorter one in the thing I'm writing then.

It simply is not true? I know, butterflies, more important than 300 deaths which are based on the number of high school, I have peace.
Monkeys trained to fight, and I'm not a military sniper. You anything, but it was not. We wanted to determine the sex. I mean, I see the face of the earth.
If you think you can find something on the Internet? Evo cars. Be prepared for hidden spy network in the United States to attack the larvae of intellectual property rights, I must say better. The storm destroyed painful memories. Half of the children died. You can do it anywhere and I can already killed hundreds of hands. This is wrong, but smaller oil reserves, like an old man "that some phones Navy to play ugly." But now we can not pay ridiculous prices. I do not want to disrupt their wounds.
Half of the children died.
......WTF am I looking at?

The summoning chant Rin uses has lines that tie specifically into the Tohsaka family history (they have Tokiomi say them for the summoning scene in Zero) from a Tohsaka viewpoint, so it'd be extremely weird if it was the exact same for everyone.

Elements of it are probably largely the same, but I doubt most summoners talk about their family's relation to Zelretch in their chant. That would just be nonsense for non-Tohsaka.

Aw, that's... actually kinda sad. :(

@RexHeller:

As pointed out above, you can pretty much get away with anything with chants. However, there are two lines that should probably appear for narrative/thematic reasons, and not unrelatedly are very iconic for this chant:

Thy body shall rest under my dominion, my fate shall rest in thy blade!
Obey the call of the Holy Grail! If thou wouldst obey this mind and this reason, then respond!

It's the cornerstone of the contract, that lays out the nature of the partnership between the Master and the Servant, and also implies that no matter who you summon, it's at least not impossible that they will be willing to work with you, that you're summoning a version of your Servant that is vaguely compatible. Though if you don't give the ritual much leeway then you'll get mediocre results in that regard.

Actually I think putting in 0 effort at all for the chant would give you the most compatible servant lol. Since the grail knows then that you are going in yolo and slings out a random that is just like you.

Honestly I just follow Canon until the part of the Ancestors. And say this.

To my Ancestors that actually give a damn.

Yeah, but said servant could be shit.

Actually, given how type moon reincarnation works, your ancestors don't really exist unless one of them made it into the Throne.

She's a masochistic submissive that doesn't actually have the capacity or knowledge to give consent. She falls squarely into the same squick zone as the House Elves for me.
I...don't see it? It just seems to me to be another case of the aloof, above human being learning what it is to be human that many Nasu works enjoy exploring. Void Shiki's basically a less ditzy Arc. Or a less insane Manaka.

Edit: Like, the vibe I'm getting from her is less what you're saying and more 'I'm doing this because it's interesting and that is intriguing to me' with a dash of 'Oh, so this is what emotions are like'.

... If Kara no Kyoukai 7 is any indication, Void Shiki knows better then humans what emotions and, in fact, everything else, are. She's just so detached that normally its not important to her. I mean, she was almost bored talking to Mikaya, yet she came out. She clearly felt something.

When your dealing with something that is, in fact, effectively omnipotent, a lot of concepts stop being worth thinking about. Imagine how bored she must normally be, knowing there is nothing that will take her effort to do, nothing she'll feel rewarded for. Chaldea's a godsend for her.

Yeah, uh, Void Shiki's design is creepy as hell. Do not want.

I mean I see what they're going for with the pure-yin absolute-feminine-ideal thing but oh gods, that is so creepy coming from a video game character that gains affinity points when you make them fight monsters.
I don't see how she's creepy.
She's basically a giggling schoolgirl having fun doing something new and that something is beating up monsters and saving the world.

The fuck are you smoking.

Maybe apathy would've been the better term for it, but that's basically what I was trying to get at; omnipotent finding something worthwhile and sticking around for it, despite it being something arguably 'beneath' them.

Or in other words, see @Kyte's post.

Well the Chaldea vs Solomon war is chaotic as hell since any type of Claivorance and Future seeing skill is immediately made useless because both sides are time traveling/jumping into Worlds inside singularities

I don't know if Void Shiki can 'see' the Future and aside from fanservice maybe that's why she enjoys it? Nothing is so sure anymore

There are different levels of precognitive abilities, which usually depend on level at which you can perceive the "system". Greater the level, less chance of something out of system existing and affecting the system in unpredictable manner.

And Root should be fully capable of having both Chaldea and Solomon within its ability to fully predict. Indeed, it should be actually perfect as opposed to lesser versions everyone else has access to.
