Should "Other half of the Battle" win, I see no reason why that's not a thing we could do. It's lready got bond up with Drilbur and Erika, so it's not like our battling Pokémon aren't involved.

You know, I think we can have fun with Substitute assuming it works like I think (clone made out of energy to take hits). Give it Drilbur and have her rest and recover or buff up at the bottom of a battlefield whilst the Substitute clone distracts and fights on the surface. Do some fun tricks to disguise the clone by having it bury itself when it comes close to popping and tag the real Drilbur back in, and in an emergency maybe we can even have it bust in and have the two battle one opponent at the same time.

Although Dig does go from a 2 turn move to a 1 turn move when mastered, so who knows how well that still works.
Perhaps arvis can choose to make it 2 turn at will?

All I'm saying is that it can't hurt our speedy blitzy team to also be able to use the Shadow Clone jutsu at will.
For sure, drilbur has alot of hp but her defensive stats are slightly above average at best
