On my second read-through I (finally!) noticed the fact that the Barto Club recruited Apis and one of her feathery dragons (probably a chick or a juvenile, given it's described as being ostrich-sized)! That's awesome.

It's nice to see that the anime fillers aren't going to waste; Bartolomeo seems to be largely going through them in the place of the Straw Hats and using them to recruit strong people for his crew! xD

Eeeeeeh, personally, I don't think so... the wings seem to be vestigal and utterly useless. Plus, her wings are far too small (and badly placed on her body) for her to be able to even glide with them.

I mean, Ryu is a Millennial Dragon; if they die when on the Dragon's Nest, they'll just end up reborn as a newly-hatched chick. They're kind of like phoenixes, in that regard.

So Ryu (presumably) died on the Dragon's Nest, was reborn as a chick, and Apis either joined the Barto Club with the newly-reincarnated Ryu or another young Millennial Dragon.

We're going with newly-reincarnated Ryu, who's now going by Lindy, short for Lindwyrm. He might have been a chick when he was reborn, but it's been a few months and apparently his kind grow up fast.

He wants it for both I think, but Merry repair fund is more important, since the slavery auction can both in principle be avoided, and they can at least give a try at using force of arms in that situation.
 
What's the bet that sometime in the future, where the Strawhats are sailing/running from the Marines, Aisa is going to appear on a Waver screaming that she found them forcing the crew to take her with them or else she'll be captured by the Marines?.

I'm more inclined to believe that Aisa's gonna join them after the timeskip, on Sabaody for example, since by then she'll be fifteen years old (and far stronger, most likely). She might even head to Sabaody because of the fake Strawhats, on account of hearing rumors about the Straw Hats resurfacing on Sabaody, only to be woefully disappointed when it's a rag-tag bunch of losers trying to impersonate the Straw-hats.

But eh, who knows!

Would the Fake Straw Hat thing even happen? without Soundbite they would have the problem of being found out as soon as there is a SBS.

    That is another possibility, but this is Aisa, someone who is considered a human Su or Soundbite.
    What's more likely, her trying to leave and join the Strawhats now?, or waiting years until she can join?.
     
    Seriously, these updates are ridiculously long.
    Just when i think the update is about to end,nope, it goes "But wait...there is more!".
    Several times.

    I'd say she'd be waiting until she's strong enough to wipe the floor with Wiper, Kamakiri and Laki. Like Soundbite said to her, she should make sure she was strong enough to beat those three before trying to join the Strawhats, since those three are gonna be her biggest hurdles in leaving Skypiea. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that taking down those three will take, more or less, two years of training. Just a hunch ;)

    And if she develops her already great talent with Haki/Mantra alongside her combat training, she can be a right terror to fight in a year or two. I mean, she can even track Enel/Eneru, who travels at the speed of lightning (320,000,000 ft per second); when she's strong enough to fight seriously and if she focuses on speed and agility, she'll likely be able to evade just about every attack sent her way (unless it's some gigantic attack that she can't dodge).

    And given how training *does* take time, I'd say we're looking at a post-timeskip joining.
     
    Aww yissss, G8 is the best filler.

    On the gold, did they consider having flat sheets of gold 'fins' under the waterlevel to get as much as possible on the merry? I figure it would be hidden (by the sea) and it gets more gold on the ship.
