There is no emotion... (A Jedi Order Quest)

[x] Brianna, the Handmaiden (Bonus to negotiating for the return of Jedi Artifacts from thieves and graverobbers salvagers and historians)
[x] Don't reclaim it-- let it rest. (+35 PP for making Senator's lives easier)

Brianna's kind of a fighter not a chronicler - I'm a bit perplexed she has such support for this role. Echani warrior through and through, even if she does have an interest in artefacts, that's not a profession, and she's needed out there getting her hands dirty much more than Mical is.

[x] Mical, the Disciple (Minor increase to knowledge gained from Holocrons)
This is kind of Mical's whole thing.

While ideally we'd give the Telos academy back, I don't think it's sensible given the Sith Holocrons and probably echoes.
[x] Claim the Telos Academy (-50 PP)

a converted power station
IIRC it was an irrigation system and dammit I wish I wasn't so nitpicky! This is a good quest!

You're right, I just checked. I'll fix it when I'm back at a computer.

Guess this means I've gotta play through the whole game again. :V

I'm on the fence re: the academy, but the point about corrupting dark side stuff sold me.

You warned them not to touch anything in Atris' personal study.

They still might, but at least it definitely won't be your fault. :V

They're doomed, aren't they?

I wonder if we could have some droids fire the sith holocrons into a star or a black hole or something.

Call me an idealist, but I don't think that the construction workers will try and grab something that everybody knows is bad news. Plus pushing this is not going to look good for us.

The issue isn't just physical durability.

They've got a bit of that whole "into this he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his desire to dominate all life" thing going for them.

As far as destroying them goes, "toss it into a black hole" certainly constitutes the old college try.

Always a good excuse to - if you want I can link you that Handmaiden and Disciple for both genders mod that doesn't remove any other characters. ;)
You should use the 'mod build' from the KOTOR subreddit -- reddit.com/r/kotor. Really good bugfixes and improvements, and does a good job of mentioning which mods are essential improvements and which are purely optional.

The only problem with black holes is that they are canonically a Einstein-Rosen Bridge/wormhole, with all the 'instantaneous travel' connotations involved. Plenty of random stuff (ships, people!) from the galaxy appeared on Endor thanks to the 'Endor Gate' wormhole. If we toss a Sith holocron into a black hole, it might lead to a Ewok apocalypse...

Exactly. Like, Kallig's Holocron would be reduced to its constituent atoms, meanwhile Naga Sadow's tanked it, got spat out in another galaxy, and 4000 years later when the Yuuzhan Vong invade, they're Sith.

Oh gods, now I'm envisioning a Darth Wub Wub and his many bloodthirsty yet adorable acolytes.

Is it possible for us to give up the Telos academy but remove the holocrons? I oppose destroying the holocrons, because in both Canon and Legends one of the weaknesses of the Jedi was that the Sith knew a lot about them, but they knew almost nothing about the Sith.

We are taking the holocrons that we found whether or not we take the academy. The problem is this:
And while you think you got everything of value, you might be wrong
We don't know if we missed anything else.

As the qm states if we give them the academy we just tell warn them to not touch anything. so the sith holocrons will still be there.

You warned them not to touch anything temporarily.

But if you do give up the academy, you will be taking the Holocrons that you know of. You killed an army of HK Droids to save Telos once-- seems a little silly to let the Sith kill it now, no? :V

Is it possible for us to temporarily claim it until we are confident we took everything dangerous from it, then give it up?

That's basically what's going to happen if you give it up, except replace "we are confident we took everything dangerous from it" with "When the government wants, which may or may not be enough depending on how, exactly, Atris set it up". And on other things hidden in the graveyard, but who's keeping check?
