There is no emotion... (A Jedi Order Quest)

Omake: Emotion Yet Peace
Omake: Emotion, Yet Peace

My heart was a low thumping beat - the drum something I counted out in my head, another useful mental exercise I'd picked up. Oxygen carried through my body, with the Force picking up the weight to make the process more efficient; cool air licked at my body and I attempted to ignore the way old scars tingled sensitively at the sensation. It was a real hassle nowadays, distracting my mind - the best of exercises were at times entirely futile nowadays. Back when I was just avoiding hordes of Sith Assassins, jumping from place to place with Surik. Well, those times were at least simple enough.

Responsibility was an entirely different card game that I'd still been struggling to adapt to. Dantooine was a haven for new Jedi wanting to learn, and while I'd been holding my own in my teachings, there was still so much more I didn't know. How could I teach others what I myself couldn't even claim to be altogether too special at? 'Ask Brianna,' had been a phrase I'd grown pretty comfortable with nowadays, even as it fought against the tiny hints of pride I'd slowly been building up. She knew most of the forms that Surik had taught, even if she excelled particularly with Makashi and Ataru; her lithe form allowed for some pretty impressive movements, and her efficient switch into Makashi let her dismantle just about any foe… Bao-Dur had disabused the notion that she was untouchable when he'd broken, shattered really, her entire style in front of everyone during a sparring match - Djem-So could be absolutely monstrous in the right hands.

Myself though? Well, I had a keen hand with Shii-Cho, gave me nice and ample adaptability to most situations, really great for large swathes of opponents. But it wasn't exactly something I'd clicked with. It was something that had been resolved by, funny enough, Mical of all people.

The man hummed lightly to himself, giving me a once over that I couldn't help but roll my eyes at. "Getting a good look?" I questioned, arms stretching out to give a proper showing of my, admittedly glorious, form. Waggling my eyebrows, Mical simply gave a frown that I'd chalked down to being minor amusement expression #7. My … friend is a stretch, but it's close enough, simply continued his analysis before clicking his tongue.

"A moment," he sped off at that, leaving me standing awkwardly within the archives, giving a likewise awkward nod at some passing trainees, who whispered amongst themselves in what they probably considered an entirely inconspicuous manner. Mical returned eventually with a dimly lit cube, tinged with blue and already open - it was an object the man had fiddled with considerably, given he was a large part on why we had full access to it.

"A Holocron?" I eventually questioned, to which Mical simply nodded.

"Arca Jeth," he said simply, as I raised an eyebrow at the statement. "A very well renowned saber practitioner - I don't believe you'll find a greater blademaster within the archives. He will most certainly be capable of assisting you in this manner." I'd considered the concept for a moment, before shrugging and snatching the artifact from his hands, walking out with a jaunty tune whistling out from my lips as I ignored the surprised sputtering that came from my colleague.

'Wonder how hard it'd be to sneak bantha dung in Mical's boots?' I questioned to myself, the shining of the Holocron casting the holographic image of an old wizened looking man above it. My muscles ached, and my face was surely turning purple - the man scoffed, his derision clear.

"You've been at this for just under an hour now - as a Knight, I could hold your pose for upwards of three days before exhaustion overtook me!" His scathing commentary wasn't something I was capable of responding to given the circumstances. He looked even more displeased when I remained silent; I idly considered the prospect of ditching the ancient relic in one of the Kinrath caves and seeing if he could just quietly disappear, before abandoning the concept - Mical would throw a hissy fit that just barely outweighed the pros.

Holding my breath had seemed simple enough, and Meetra had talked about the technique before, enough that I'd been able to get a basic handle on it fairly quickly. Doing some warm ups along with it, sure no big deal! Want me to do a backflip and not breathe? I'm your guy!

… channeling something as dangerous as Juyo without even the basic ability of expelling air from my lungs and taking in deep lungfuls of lovely, lovely oxygen? Well, it was a torture method not even the Sith had thought up.

The man grumbled, before speaking again, "Alright, up! That was two minutes of rest - back to your forms! Remember, Juyo relies on your natural anger and primal urges; it's a powerful channeling device, but you must exercise utmost caution when utilizing it. There is no certainty that you will avoid the lure of the Darkside when using such a technique, but these practices will give you absolute control over yourself, providing you with the inner focus that you'll need when you eventually avoid temptation." I cursed the lecture, rising to my feet as my saber lit again. We were surrounded by old obelisks, each one with rooted scars that went deep, but despite every clash my saber struck, they merely scratched the surface of the structures. Certainly useful for practicing, that was for sure.

"Begin!" I leapt outward with a silent snarl, the breath that still looped within my system rapidly getting more diluted and harder to circulate; it was a difficult exercise, to focus on the absolute control necessary in the emotional usage of Juyo, alongside the very distracting sensation of asphyxiating. Even so, Juyo resonated with me better than anything else I'd practiced before. It spoke well with a lot of deep seated anger that I'd pretty much considered long buried. Imaginary opponents danced within my vision, as I struck deep against the obelisk, anger beating against my shielded thoughts and just amplifying my physical movements. These motions went on for a few minutes longer, until again, the Holocron spoke.

"Enough!" He shouted, and my lightsaber unlit just as soon as he uttered his words - already my vision was darkening, "Breathe."

Sweet… oh so sweet oxygen. Oh how I missed you - to think I'd ever taken you for granted, please never leave me again baby, I'll treat you right from now on.

The long deceased memory of a Jedi chuckled harshly, "Good. Your focus has remained sharp. You're learning rather swiftly all things considered," he considered for a moment before speaking. "Alright. Take a breath, make it deep too! Next step is thirteen hours - get to it!"

Was it too late to hand in my resignation to the Order?

A/N

So, totally aware this isn't how canon Jeth really operates, but in this case it's intentional. It's not to make him completely OOC, it's honestly to show a different side of the training method - the darkside won't go easy and the Sith will find more than a few ways to psychology damage you mid battle. Jeth is intentionally heckling and unbalancing for the sole purpose of creating a more realistic environment for utilizing such a precarious technique. Wanted to throw that out there, he's still the same kindhearted man he is in canon.

[X] Make contact with Yuthura Ban, offering to let her coordinate the Jedi's war with the Hutts and the title of Jedi Master General. (Gain Jedi Master Yuthura Ban, +1 Jedi Master General, -40 PP for angry Republic for baiting the Hutts)

At Matale Spaceport, a ship touches down. It's a ramshackle old Hutt thing that looks like some hybrid between old chemical rockets and Tionese lightships, if you had to name one. You can't see it, exactly, meditating as you are within the Enclave's entrance, pads of flimsi with mathematics scrawled on them laid out over the whole floor, but you can feel the energy, propagating through the air, the stars, touching the world.

Well, that and the holofeed is constantly blaring news about how you've invited a dangerous radical/noted combatant/former Sith/hero of the people (delete as appropriate) to take command of much of your efforts to burn out the Hutts.

You can only hope for victory.

And you would like a full Council.

Do you extend an invitation to the Council to Breda Sunguard?

Mission Report 3941 BBY Q2 (Extended)
There were three lights.

Then something roared, and there were two.

Mission Report 3941 BBY Q2 Extended

Mission 3 (The Mid-Rim, 1 Padawan, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Visas Marr
)
-Councilor Visas Marr-

To all things there is an echo. Love, yes. Loyalty, yes. Commitment, dedication, compassion, these things all make a sound, a wave, an echo, a mist, drifting from person to person. But they are not alone. Hate, rage, death, suffering. Fear. And where might there be more fear than where mortals watched gods fight? The world of Kalkid III was just pulling itself out of a horrific global war the likes of which are seen on few scales when the Tionese Empire made contact with them; drift, over the past few thousand years, has brought them solidly into the Middle Rim. They were conquered, subjugated, enslaved, in horrific conditions, under threat of orbital bombardment. It would be centuries until they freed themselves, and symbols of the Tionese still linger.

For instance the Chateau d'Enfer. A luxury resort, maintained by enslaved Kalkids, it was a vicious place where many thousand died, in often brutal ways, serving as a hard point of Tionese domination.

Naturally, one of those same Kalkid, now wants to turn it into an...attraction of sort. The tragedy, after all, is thousands of years past.

And yet I doubt the dead would rest so easily for the matter.

Naturally, I have taken something of an interest. I would not have the wage servants she has with her slaughtered when the thing, invariably, goes wrong. It will open in a month, and I plan to be there for every miserable week until it does.
--
A man looks up at a mannequin, dressed in Tionese style. Lots of purple, white and towering hats, that band. He swears he can see the thing, a human if he had to guess, looking at him. Seated at the dining table, Master Visas and Alvazza speak, accompanied by the rest of the Jedi band. "This is desecration, and you must know that." Slowly the owner brings up a glass of honeyed, golden-red wine and takes a deep drink of it. Visas is, relatively, calm all considered-- her hand only tightens in the way she knows, she knows, can break bone and smash the windpipe and ravage the flesh and does not perturb the Force in the way required to make it so as she stares at the woman, who is beautiful in the classic Kalkid way-- a thin, pinched waist, a particularly bright carapace that shines golden in the sunlight that streaks in, and tall, proud antennae that dip and move. For their part, the aliens do not seem appreciative.

"I consider it reclaiming some of the wealth they took from us from some of their descendants."

"Perhaps. But I greatly doubt that they would agree."

"Well, they are dead, sage." She shrugs, and gets up, launching a last retort over her shoulder, "And I do not fear ghosts."

And if the mannequin has moved to look at her, then seemingly no-one has noticed.
--
Mission 3 (The Mid-Rim, 1 Padawan, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Visas Marr)
-Councilor Visas Marr-

The dead do not rest well in this place. Perhaps they never will. Whether as vague as 'bad feelings' or as obscene as message scrawled on mirrors in the fog, scratched into the walls, moving mannequins, they are making it clear. The Kalkid are brushing it off as protestor's disturbances; but if they are, they were more stealthy than I have ever been, and I doubt that; they did not manage to sneak onto the same ship as Darth Treya, did they? I do find myself wondering what perturbation in the Force might make the spirits so able, even Sith ghosts are not quite so lively; but perhaps it would be wisest of us to acknowledge that the Jedi and our wayward children do not know all facets of the Force.

In any case I have instructed the Jedi with me to be on their guard.

We will not be surprised by this, even if they would be.
--
"Ladies and gentlemen," Alvazza says in a proud voice in an auditorium that once sorted the slaves of a hundred worlds, "we will turn this into a place of wealth and glory, rather than only a reminder of what was lost.

And then the lights cut out, and the screaming starts.
--
Mission 3 (The Mid-Rim, 1 Padawan, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Visas Marr)
-Councilor Visas Marr-

As I expected. I have instructed the rest of the Jedi to escort the workers, the guests, and the reporters-- in that order-- out of the area. I will find Alvazza and bring her to safety.

Or Justice, as the case may be.
--
There is one light. And something is moving through it. A figure, two arms, two legs, something dangling from the back.

The last light goes out.

She scrambles--

It lunges--

And a lightsaber bursts into life. It sears the flesh that is not and exposes the thing's flesh-- Tionese, human, female. It is a creature of the Force, born of dark arts by darker wills-- but not, in truth, the greater than the Jedi. A field of pure energy blocks it, and Visas blasts it away. "Go. I shall face it."

She hardly needs to speak twice, but Visas can't blame her. This is no fight for the unarmed; and, in both senses, she is unarmed. She scrambles out, trying to flee-- only for a door to slam into her face. Not turn of phrase, and she falls back, spurting blood from her nose.
--
Mission 3 (The Mid-Rim, 1 Padawan, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Visas Marr)
-Councilor Visas Marr-

I won.

The thing, it seemed, agreed with Alvazza's statement. And strenuously. In myths men talk them down, speak to them. So I did.

I spoke to it of Katarr. Of Nihilus. Of the ashes, and of the silence. And of darkness.

And that frightened it away.

Now I must meditate.

Mission 1 (The Core, 4 Padawans, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 1 Jedi Consular)

-Councilor Breda Sunguard-

Private contractors and screwing over your employees, name a more iconic duo. Some schmucks on Corellia are refusing to pay their Selonian workers, banking that the rest of the Galaxy wouldn't care. Well joke's on them: I'm pretty sure we're contractually obligated to care about everything, from somebody stubbing their toe to a Mandalorian war fleet. Ideally this runs more to the former than the latter: these schmucks, who sure do look a lot like somebody integrated old Czerka techniques to go with their old Czerka capital, are involved in manufacturing everything from civilian airspeeders to blaster. Civilian model, again, but that is kind of begging for trouble; so the government of Corellia has invited us to negotiate.

Mission 2 (The Inner Rim, 8 Padawans, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Guardians, 4 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Brianna)
-
Sentinel Pal-

Freighter, a big one, has been stranded near the Ilesian Shoal: a collection of radioactive dust, black holes, neutron stars, and who knows what else. Trying to avoid customs. Small crew, so they can be evacuated; only issue is, we need to actually get there and with all the garbage flying around out there, you'd need to be one hell of a pilot to make it in and out without blowing yourself up or getting so blasted by x-rays you piss blue.

Naturally, we'll be heading there.

Mission 4 (The Outer Rim, 3 Padawans, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 3 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Bastila Shan)

-No Event rolled-

Mission 5 (The Colonies 1 Padawan, 5 Jedi Sentinels, 2 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Atton Rand)

-Councilor Atton Rand-

We delivered medicine to the world of Mashgraz, formerly occupied by the Sith and still attempting to get back up on its feet. The ride was a little bumpy, but other than that, no issues.
(+5 PP)

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)
-Councilor Juhani-

We have received somewhat credible reports of a Mandalorian mercenary band making its way here under the aegis of the Hutt Cartels. Naturally I am moving to respond; and if I seem eager to come face to face with those who slaughtered my people, not so long ago as we count these things.

Well.

It's because I am. Hardly only for my people, but for everyone the Mandalorians have butchered. To see them stopped is a necessity, but I will not lie and say I do not feel a certain..satisfaction, at the thought of fighting these men for the sake of the galaxy and the innocent they will kill, if left alone (and then thirty years later, they will of course attempt to present a story of themselves as the victims of the big, bad Jedi). They will have their opportunity to surrender, for we will be waiting in the "abandoned" starport they are hoping to use to go to the world, Alchenaucht. They will be surrounded, and so they will give up, or I will make them surrender.

Mission 1 (The Core, 4 Padawans, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 1 Jedi Consular)
-Councilor Breda Sunguard-

Well, things had...not quite worked themselves out, but were on the way there when we arrived. It seems there was conflict in the board of directors as you might expect out of a band of greedy, power hungry executive types, and one of said execs has a kid who is, uh, friendly with the Selonians. Pressed on both fronts they eventually backed down since there was no honor among thieves, and back pay is making its way to the Selonians. For their part the vast majority have tendered resignations for the company to form their own co-op under the Chancellor's office directly, working for themselves rather than anybody else; said kid is also funneling a considerable amount of his wealth to it as capital.
(+15 PP)

Mission 2 (The Inner Rim, 8 Padawans, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Guardians, 4 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Brianna)
-
Sentinel Pal-

Pulled it off, crew is currently waiting for pick-up on the nearest friendly planet. Gotta say, I like the Duros ship they had: don't know how well the "Ball-and-Socket" they were going for works in a fight, but it had plenty of space and the crew was kept safely away from all the radiation.
(+15 PP)

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)
-Councilor Juhani-

Let it be known that I have made a grave error, in several facets. At the most basic, I should perhaps not have trusted my informants, there having been red flags, among them his undisguised fetishism for the Mandalorians and their armor. I did not consider that the Mandalorians, for all they prattle of honor, might bribe local traffic control agents to inform them of Jedi arriving in system. More pertinently, I did not gather security force back up before heading out, and so we have been pinned down by heavy blaster fire. It will not avail them much, since have several masters of Soresu to maintain our position and good strong cover that should hold out, but we are stuck waiting for security forces anyway. It is, suffice to say, going to be embarrassing when they finally make it here. I was too eager to make contact with the enemy myself, and to strike some blow of, of vengeance for all they have killed, and now they might get away unless we can think of something clever to do, and quickly. Suffice to say, I do not expect so.

For what it's worth, I am sorry.

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)
-Councilor Juhani-

I, unfortunately, did not think of anything clever.

Research Turn Q2 3941 BBY
Research Turn 3941 BBY

Knowledge has been accrued by the Jedi over the past year; and it falls, therefore, to you to distribute it.

189/5=37 points of Wisdom to distribute, 4 left over

Training Doctrines- The methods by which you train new Jedi-- how and to what purpose. (These are mutually exclusive, you have One Student, One Teacher currently active)
Many Students, One Teacher (0/5)- There aren't enough of you for you to teach only one student each. For the moment, at least, you need to be training multiples. (Bonus to recruitment Quantity)

Infrastructure- While grabbing abandoned temples is always going to be a good plan, there are other questions to consider.
A Thousand Sparks (0/10)- You will expand far and wide. (Expands to more planets, colonies, and polities)

Tier 3
One Student, One Teacher (Tier 3)
Back Roads: Often what keeps Jedi from reacting to crises is not being near enough. Having your masters pass on the secret, unknown hyperspace routes, reststops, and shortcuts to your Padawans; and for that matter, among yourselves, will help. (+1 Vigilance) (0/20)

Combat (Tier 3)
The Weapon of the Enemy: A crummy blaster and bad attitude are no match for the Force at your side, Padawan. (+1 to checks against ranged enemies) (10/20)
Force Combat III: Weird, Force based esoterica to allow your students to stand toe-to-toe with the mainline Sith Warriors. (Consulars may use Wisdom check against Dark Knights and Sith Apprentices) (0/20)
Adaptive and Fast on Their Feet: Your Sentinels might not be quite as blade adept as the Guardians, but they make up for that with a wider skillset. (Sentinels may use Skill instead of Combat against Mundane opponents) (0/20)

A Hundred Bonfires (Tier 3)
Bigger Dormitories: Converted starship quarters are nice and all, but something a bit more substantive would probably manage to hold the Order in finer standing; certainly it would allow you to house more people. (Increase population that can be held in all facilities by a quarter) (0/20)
Meetra's Notes: Long before she was a general, a warrior, an Exile, Meetra Surik was a Jedi Recruiter, looking for new members of the Order. Her work is a solid foundation, certainly better than your ad hoc attempts to gather together new Jedi. (Double recruitment dice from 1d5 to 1d10.) (0/20)
Defense Systems: You can't, won't, and shouldn't turn your Temples into Fortresses, no matter what certain people claim. But shields? Those are a different story. (All facilities gain shields) (0/20)
Basic Archives: While a complete archive is both impossible and impractical to replicate at each and every temple, you sure could stick a whole lot of the basics somewhere at each. Beyond the security this offers, you might of course also gain some knowledge by spreading it far and wide. (Duplicates a whole bunch of basic Jedi Stuff at each Temple/Facility, +5 Knowledge per completed Temple) (0/20)

Choose one holocron to study:

Holocrons You Have Obtained:
-Holocron of Arren Kae (1/3)
-Holocron of Karn Degarr
-Holocron of Homonix Rectonia
-Holocron of Vodo-Siosk Baas
-Holocron of Odan-Urr
-Holocron of Sar Agorn
-Holocron of the Unknown Jedi
-Holocron of Garon Jard

Meetra's Notes: Long before she was a general, a warrior, an Exile, Meetra Surik was a Jedi Recruiter, looking for new members of the Order. Her work is a solid foundation, certainly better than your ad hoc attempts to gather together new Jedi. (Double recruitment dice from 1d5 to 1d10.) (20/20)

-Meetra's notes expand a hundred situations, everything from convincing elders, twenty and thirty years olds, to give up the plain life of the galaxy and the join the Order; to conversations with parents, offering true assurances of their health and safety even in the face of the threat of Sith (that last one being a common and particular sticking point); to towards the end, rounding up recruits to join the Revanchists, before they attempted to conquer the galaxy that is. All such points are digested and considered and taken into account, and the wisdom of your master becomes apparent, as she not only offers her own experience but also cites other luminaries within the field. While a distressing number of those records have been destroyed, many also have not, and all in a all a more professional, experienced, and worthwhile system for recruiting Jedi is formed from the ashes.

(Recruitment dice doubled from 1d5->1d10)

The Weapon of the Enemy: A crummy blaster and bad attitude are no match for the Force at your side, Padawan. (+1 to checks against ranged enemies) (20/20)

Blasters are roundly overrated by just about every tough in the galaxy. "Old religions and a laser sword are no match for a good blaster," they claim to every bright-eyed farm brat, "not in this galaxy." Which, of course, is why the Mandalorians, drawn up in their millions, managed to defeat thousands of Jedi, right? Right? Why that would make sense, wouldn't it? Except no, of course not. A blaster is a clumsy, stupid, loud thing, barely fit to be called a weapon and if nothing else you will beat that into your students' heads; as well, of course, as how to defeat them. Not that hard a thing, when your weapons reflect them and you can see the future.

(+1 to checks against Blaster wielding foes)

Holocron of Arren Kae

"...And in the age of Odan-Urr, he set down these words. Nonsense, much of it; but if you must turn only towards the higher mysteries, and ignore the workings of this world of sinew and flesh, there are worse places to start..."

(+5 to Basic Archives)

Mission Report 3941 BBY Q3

Mission 1 (The Core, 4 Padawans, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 1 Jedi Consular)

-Councilor Breda Sunguard-

Somebody is murdering senators, secretaries, functionaries, and high ranking members of the military--all the figures funneling support to the Rebellion in Hutt Space. Which, of course, screams Hutt Cartels; except, except that it is entirely wrong. If it were the Hutts, you'd expect bombs in speeders, sniper fire, muggings gone wrong, and just plain disappearances. Instead they've been found their bodies left desicated husks in locked studies, bedrooms, bathrooms, with no forensic evidence whatsoever and the Hutts; the Hutts aren't that good, and neither are the lowest common denominator guns for hire they'd revert to sooner or later. But there is a group that good in the galaxy.

You can ask Atton all about them.

(Atton NB: Rude. But she's not wrong)

Mission 2 (The Inner Rim, 8 Padawans, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Guardians, 4 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Brianna)
-Councilor Brianna-

There is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma slapped behind a riddle on the world of Alderes, an ancient Jedi hiding place where many ancient records of the Order have been hidden by a private citizen who inherited them after their brother, a Knight of the Order, died on Ossus. While not large, it is fully possible that this archive has material we have not yet recovered from the rest of the galaxy; and even if not, editional differences creeping in over many years and many writers may well mean there is different information in what is nominally the same text. The Biography of Nomi Da Boda looks very different in writing ten years ago than it does twenty years, I can tell you that much for certain.

The riddle itself is a Call:Response drawing on what the proper response for a Jedi should be. Which should be easy, except of course that for all we are Jedi, we have risen only after attempted Genocide; as you might expect that has changed potential responses some. But with trust in the Force, I believe we will prevail.

Mission 3 (The Mid-Rim, 1 Padawan, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Visas Marr)
-Sentinel Morn Val-

Lights are out all throughout the world of Molkos. Yes, there were backups; they got taken out too. Terrorists mad that the schools are integrating aliens took out planetary power generators; right now the only power is, effectively, in hospitals, which had too many back-ups even for those cousin-lovers but then they're powered by, of all things, carbon fuels. While I'd love to see them all arrested right now our bigger issue is getting power flowing again before people start dying.

Mission 4 (The Outer Rim, 3 Padawans, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 3 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Bastila Shan)
-Padawan Miras Byal-

I didn't used to think much of the idea of property crimes; and to an extent, I still don't (lemme tell you, the old gov on Jedha deserved a lot worse than just getting rocks through their windows). But an arsonist on the world of Telos (well okay the habitation module, same thing for the moment) has made me rethink that position somewhat. Because everybody was out of the block for meals so they'll hardly be at risk, it's made of metal so nothing structural should burn, and it was mostly well-to-do folk who had enough investment off world to still be comfortable even after the bombardment, unlike the rest of us.

But I'm still mad.

Clever little bastard has burned away whatever tracks he left but there's always something and with the will of the Force I've found it.

Mission 5 (The Colonies 1 Padawan, 5 Jedi Sentinels, 2 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Atton Rand)
-Councilor Atton Rand-

Miserable little-- some little animal on the Holonet decided to dox several dozen activists involved in the caseagainst the government of Lexus Ortal involving Mandalorian war criminals (as in even by Mandalorian standards) who were allowed to run and hide and live out their days as private security there, protecting the government from spooky scary aliens. He thinks he's very clever.

Give me a month, and he will find he is not so.

Addendum

It did not even take a month. (+5 PP)

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)
-Councilor Juhani-

The Mandalorians can run; but they can't hide. The ship they fled on has been spotted in the atmosphere over Amuria, a continent on the planet that is fairly undeveloped. They'll be moving quickly; but I know of no-one who moves Jedi quickly.

Mission 1 (The Core, 4 Padawans, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 1 Jedi Consular)
-Councilor Breda Sunguard-

Recorded on Councilor's Comm Link

Assassin: You keep coming at me Jedi, and I swear I (whistling sound as blaster is waved through the air) am going to flash fry this little coward.

Breda: You do that, and I'll take your damn head off.

A: But he'll die first, and you don't do that do you?

Knight Kal: But I might.

FZZZT-

Mission 2 (The Inner Rim, 8 Padawans, 6 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Jedi Guardians, 4 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Brianna)

Mission 3 (The Mid-Rim, 1 Padawan, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Visas Marr)
-Sentinel Morn Val-

The generators are still working, it's transmitting the power that's proving more problematic. As the rest try and find all the perpetrators they can I'm stuck working with engineers to try and at least get a temporary fix before everything falls apart. Possibly literally, given all the hover-pads around here. Once we have a design that actually works it should be an easy manufacture, we do still know how to make stuff in the midrim, but that's a lot of power to try and shove through any material. I'm stuck glaring at everything from glazes to wood to alloys trying to make something that works.

Mission 4 (The Outer Rim, 3 Padawans, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 3 Jedi Consulars, Councilor Bastila Shan)
-Padawan Miras Byal-

Well if I don't like the idea of trying to burn down somebody's house I really don't like the idea of shooting at me.

Which, to be clear, he did. But that was a mistake, because Master Shan and the rest were in the crowd watching as it happened. They are currently converging on his position--sorry, comlink just went off, make that her position-- like a pack of angry and hungry rancors.

Kriffin, mom and dad were right I did need friends.

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)
-Councilor Juhani-

Blind, deaf, stupid and brutal. Only a few choice words for the Mandalorian people, delivered by all of their neighbors. I do not think it is some innate thing to them, the Kryz clan has some true honor and seeks ever for a better way, but for the moment that is what their victims will say of them.

We are in position. We have one chance. We will not waste it.

Mission 1 (The Core, 4 Padawans, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 1 Jedi Guardian, 1 Jedi Consular)
-Councilor Breda Sunguard-

Kal is dead. Reached for his lightsaber and the Sith Assassin managed to shoot before he drew.

He did not get to gloat about it. I, we, have done our duty. I am commending him with the highest honors, advising him to the Senatorial Offices, and will personally console his parents.

It's what he deserves.

-Padawan Miras Byal-

Caught. No higher goals, no political beliefs, no real inciting cause. Just pyromania and little regard for sapient life not her own.

I believe all people can choose a better path. I hope, for her sake, she does.

Mission 6 (The Expansion Region: 4 Padawans, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Jedi Guardians, 1 Jedi Consular, Councilor Juhani)

Dead or captured this time. No escapees. They were camped out, waiting for the heat to die down, when a battalion of angry Cathar dropped on their position, along with us. That's bad news, and worse when all their fancy little guns suddenly stopped working--almost like somebody sabotaged them, or something. Not that I'd know anything about that, of course. Some still attempted to fight, but vibroblade and no shield isn't a great combination at the best of times, and hungry, exhausted and sick are not the best of times.
