So much salt.

Thanks.

This should supply the entire neighbourhood.

AND I SHALL BE THE SUPPLIER! MWAHAHAHA!

Holy shit I actually respected you.
Don't feel bad. See, now the level of regard we have for each other is mutual!

Truly, life is a wonderful rollercoaster.

So much salt.

Thanks.

This should supply the entire neighbourhood.
Facts to bear in mind:
  1. I declared my plan to omake spam and buy up turtles ahead of time to the QM, and it met with amused approval.
  2. I proceeded to write the equivalent of about two full story updates of omakes in a day.
  3. I asked multiple times throughout that process if the QM was fine with me doing so.
  4. I made sure to check that turtles was, in fact, an avenue that the QM had ideas and plans for, and not some out-of-left-field nonsense.
  5. When the QM decided they'd ban such choices in the future, after the fact, I actively offered to take back my expenditure so as to avoid being the exception.
This is the last post I'm going to make on the topic, but the degree to which voters in this thread have earned the right to snipe at me over this is less than nil.

I have no idea what lore does, but I'm excited anyways!
It basically refers to how learned / literate your character is - the higher their Lore score, the more obscure facts and knowledge they may be assumed to possess.
Here is the Unofficial Exalted Wiki definition:
Lore covers how much the character knows about the world around him. Lore tends to be a passive skill, representing knowledge of fact rather than an ability to do something. It includes magical knowledge, which often confuses the line between Lore and Occult. In general, Occult is used for actually manipulating magical energies or patterns (i.e. things you do with magic), while Lore represents knowledge or how knowledge is applied (i.e. things you know about magic).
And here is the (not as helpful) description in the Exalted Core rulebook:
Trait Description: Many educated people in the First Age knew the secrets of the universe. Today, scholars retain only fragments of this knowledge. Characters with the Lore Ability have some knowledge of current events, history, geography and the customs of other lands, as well as the magical secrets of First Age technology. Characters must possess at least Lore 1 to be literate.
Specialties: The First Age, Geography, Enchanted Devices, Religion, History, The Realm.
Trait Effects: Someone with Lore 1 is literate and can find most large nations on a map of Creation. Someone with Lore 3 knows details of the customs of lands thousands of miles away and can help operate, maintain and service many First Age devices. Someone with Lore 5 knows details of the history of the Shogunate as well as the truth about the mysterious Dragon Kings. In addition, she can maintain and repair most complex First age Devices, including warstriders.
For context, the devices of the First Age are as a general rule of thumb extremely complicated magitech devices (warstriders specifically being giant, gundam-like mechas), the Shogunate is a government system from thousands of years before, and the Dragon Kings are a nearly extinct race of beings that predate humans whose very existence is a closely guarded secret.

So you would use lore to identify a seal, recognize an awesome weapon or know of a jutsu?

Sure. All of those fall under the category of factual knowledge, so raising Lore would mean improving your ability to perform all three actions.
Of course, a high Fuuinjutsu level would help identify seals as well, as would Occult for Jutsu. In those cases, the Storyteller usually uses the higher of the abilities for a knowledge roll.

Nice! Hands look good! ( It's what I struggle with, so that's what I notice first :p)
But I also like her hair, and the elaborate armor :)

Now that it's in the Naruto-verse? Tenten/any Solar could design a method for True Resurrection.
And just like that one of the biggest themes of the Solars comes in to say hi. Can you do it? Yes, most certainly.

But should you? :p

Actually, now I kinda want to see a quest that openly violates the usual format. Maybe with threshold voting? Like, say first option with three votes wins...it'd be great to simulate an impulsive character. Ooo! Character flaws represented by tweaks to the voting format, selected by the players in character creation!
Didn't Sayaka Quest do the first to three votes thing? Or at least something like it.

True, but I was more implying that True resurrection could have consequences of it's own, even outside anything inherent to the method.

True, but I was more implying that True resurrection could have consequences of it's own, even outside anything inherent to the method.
But it happend in Naruto, with no real consequences. Including hundreds of people at once, and someone decades dead. And more. Also a hundred edo tensei simultaneously with no consequence of that sort.

The only thing we have a vague hint of is that long term Edo tensei may be bad, and thats one vague line (and i dont think anyone is trying for that either).
