I probably should have said dots because that's the Exalted terminology, but I've been playing way too much EUIV lately. (For those who don't have that context, commander stats in EUIV are called "pips" as slang)
Yessss. RST here we go.

They're the little dots on the character sheet that represent our abilities. This means Crilltic granted us one extra point in Dodge and two in Craft.
Thanks. Figured it out after the edit, but felt the post was amusing enough to stand :) nice to have a confirmation either way.

Gaara - Fear & Hatred ("I don't know what he is, but he's not human. He's a...monster, he tried to kill Lee. Something like that...shouldn't exist. It should never exist.")
I wonder if our glorious solar bullshit allows us to actually make the monster not exist? Can we destroy a bijuu? Would we consider Gaara acceptable or desirable collateral damage?

I would not expect our rivalry with Temari to remain friendly though.

Alright, so I made a slight adjustment to Tenten's character sheet, because I felt some of the decisions I made when I originally made it weren't exactly valid anymore. So in short, Tenten now has an additional Dodge pip and two additional Craft pips.
So for Reflexive Sidestep Technique:
Dodge 2>3: 4XP
Reflexive Sidestep Technique: 5XP.

9XP total.
Edit: Also, can people who have outstanding XP please assign it? It makes it kind of hard to plan around unassigned XP. I'm not going to like mass-ping people because I'm not that guy, but if you see this please do so.
Mine is assigned to the current training plan.

Unlikely that we could get both the abilities needed to kill immortals and the power to challenge gaara together by the third round.

In theory, exalts should very much be capable of killing bijuu. However, there may both be problems and consequences.

The big consequence is that we may have wrecked most of the big villains plans forever, as they require the bijuu. However, they may be metaphysically important in other ways. so prepare for unintended consequences as well. Also, if were unlucka this will make the other Bijuu want to kill us, for all their normal rivalry.

Its also possible that it dosent work, if they all still count as part of the Juubi/Kaguya, in which case it may not work, or if they regularly "die" and then ressurect, since im not sure exalted have charms to stop genuine ressurection (since that simply dosent happen in creation).

Gonna blow 5xp out of my 6xp on securing the turtle summon.

praise shell

monkeys go
Cool cool, it won't show up immediately, because the meeting will be a social event, but I can guarantee it will happen.

Which also unfortunately means I'm going to have to refund your two XP @lifeofgesture, since summoning contracts are mutually exclusive. Is there anything else you'd like to put them towards?

No, but I'm legit salty that the blank vs turtle summon got resolved like this.

*resolves to sit on any future xp gains for as long as possible, like an xp-hoarding dragon*

Resurrection is not actually impossible in Exalted. It merely requires a few things:
  1. The person to be resurrected must have been mortally wounded and died in the world-form jouten of a Primordial, Yozi or otherwise.
  2. Someone must make a successful prayer to the Primordial in question to bring the dead person back to life, sacrificing a dot of willpower in the process.
  3. If the Primordial in question is a Yozi, the person's death can have occurred no more than 5 days ago.
How it works is simple: Primordials are the ones who created linear time, and so can reach outside of it. They can also manipulate the flow of time within themselves, which is why it always takes 5 days to cross Cecelyne regardless of speed. A Primordial can reach back into the past and alter the course of events which occurred within their own world-form jouten, up to and (explicitly) including making it so that someone didn't die. As part of the Surrender Oaths, Yozis can only reach 5 days into the past, so as to prevent them from going back and undoing their defeat.

Denying ones' own continuity through time in this manner costs a dot of Willpower. If you make the request on behalf of someone else, as is the case for resurrection, then you pay the dot, not the beneficiary. Primordials always produce the requested changes to ones' personal timeline; the problem is that absolutely nothing stops them from making any other changes they see fit - and that every single Primordial except the Ebon Dragon is completely insane by human standards, and every Yozi other than Adorjan has every reason in Creation to hate humans. Anyone so foolish or desperate enough as to make such a request deserves what they get and gets what they deserve.

...actually, thinking about it, the fact that a single omake writer decides what summon contract we get seems like a horrible idea. It's certainly undemocratic.

Choice of summons should definitely be put to player vote.
Yeah, I'm now realizing that leaving exclusive choices to the XP mechanics is...well it's not really fair to other players since it's supremely undemocratic for an ultimately exclusive choice. I'll talk to @Revlid about it because he did bang out three (well-written) omakes in basically a day for me.
*Backs away from the pile of TNT Crilltic just sat down on* Right then, I'll just be a few miles anywhere-but-here a way.
Here lies Crilltic. He did not think things through.
So... does this mean the 5XP expenditure retroactively changed our blank summoning animal to sea turtles?
No.

Fingers crossed that the Turtle Contract allows the signatory to summon Gamera.
