Viva la revolucion!
That way lies SPEW-like silliness.

Mmm... A modification of that idea. Class quests. You'll get 1 ability from each of the classes to start(Or 1 spell from cleric and wizard, and 1 additional point of MP per level from sorcerer.) Then, in addition, you unlock questlines for each class, with their own stat and ability requirements to accept the quest. And completing the quest would grant the next and another ability. Would mean that by dedicating the time-slots you could gain all the abilities, but it would require sacrificing time you could be using to grind up current skills, work on relationships, earn money, etc.
But in the future,we are the man.[X] Fight the power! Stick it to the man!(++relationship with Hermione, can lead to very negative reactions from many in the wizarding world)

Then we shall fight ourselves!
Between 1973 and 1991, Target Books published almost every Doctor Who television serial as a novelisation, starting with new editions of the Frederick Muller books. When Target was taken over by Virgin Books in 1991, three further serials - The Power of the Daleks and The Evil of the Daleks by John Peel and the radio serial The Paradise of Death by Barry Letts - were added to the range.
Or Barty crouch Jr.Then we shall fight ourselves!
After we read 'The Timey Wimey Book Of Time' by Doctor Doctor, of course.
[Invisible Book of Invisibility]
This is a skill book! Would you like to use it?
Sighing you tap yes again and watch another alert pop up.
[Alert:] Minimum requirements not met. Requires [Mage Sight], an Int of 15, and a Wis of 10.
With a frown you wrap the book in an old shirt, so that you can find it without having to rely on your observe ability, and put it back in your trunk.
[X] World of Darkness - Mage rulebook
Hey guys, a whole second magic system!
Mage is probably one of the strongest and most versatile magic systems out there, bar none, and if we just buy the one rulebook it should be affordable
So @Halpo133 how are you going to handle reward currencies when we defeat monsters? Will we get both currency from the muggle and currency from the wizard world at the same time or is it different in each battle?

Sounds good to me. IIRC there's already going to be spells or abilities that will only be unlocked via quests, or special tasks (like, say, defeating the Legion Zombie to get the Energy Drain spell/skillbook), so this would be kind of an extension.Mmm... Hm... an idea that just popped up in that regard; could fiction also make for special IDs? Like, say, if we pick up one of the many D&D adventure modules, instead of getting a skill, we get an option to create a special ID? Basically play/fight through the adventure in question and get the corresponding loot?
At least for the lower-tier stuff, like the common Sword +1 or Ring of Protection +1 it shouldn't be much of a problem, though higher-tier adventures with really powerful loot might be an issue.
Then again, by the time we can complete them, we could probably craft such items ourselves, or don't really need them, either. So, dunno.
What comes to my mind with mention of woodworking it sounds it would help stack with our wand building skills or staves later on. Since we are basically a wizard, Tailoring sounds like it would help us be able to craft our own mage armor with good stats, instead of buying typical normal clothe wares that doesn't offer much protection or bonuses. So, for those buying tailoring and woodworking... WHY!? What would we use them for?

We could be discussing the combat applications of the ancient art of Origami.
Bugger. Wizard of Earthsea? Wheel of Time? Dune(it's not exactly magic, but the Bene Gesserit, Fremen and Mentats pack a lot of bullshit)? Lensmen for psychic powers? Not yet published. It's 1991, Mage was published in 2005. Earliest book was in 2004.
I would have chosen Exalted if we could get some of the modern stuff, gotten our Glorious Solar Bullshit on.
FYI, KonanIt could be worse.

Need to get @Halpo133 confirmation on that front that we actually can get equipment as rewards in battle, then I may reconsider removing my vote.I think we're most likely to get such equipment by attaining it in Instant Dungeons as loot, rather than crafting it.

But typically most of the rpg games I've played overall offer better armor or weapons when you craft it yourself, better and more powerful usually then most of the equipment you can find in the entire game.
