The Perfectly Normal High School: A Slice of Life Quest! (Defunct)

[X] It's not like Yuuko isn't pretty… (Silas thinks Yuuko is kind of cute too, actually.)
Uh, Parkour boy will have Words with us if we move on his woman. And he strikes me as having a pretty legit claim.
That's the opposite of the vote you want if you want to not come into conflict with Kei...

Yeah, if he'd notice a kouhai girl making eyes at him, having to come up with an appropriate responce would probably be the most terrifying experience. But he's just oblivious enough for that to not be a concern.
Also @Nevill you cursed us.
you did this
you are responsible

Erm, besides this being a pretty unhealthy way to approach relationships in general, you have to remember that Kei is the last person to believe that Yuuko should be obligated to like him, under any circumstances - even if she owed him in some way. He doesn't like the idea of anyone being beholden to anything.

EDIT:
ninja'd

Parkour boy wants what Yunko thinks will make her happy.
as seen here: Ninja'd again dammit.

Ahem. Not Parkour Boy - Spider-boy. A prequel to Spider-man. I mean...
"What kind of an… for one, what if someone caught you while you were scaling the building?! A Metropol officer or… something! Do you realize how dangerous that is?"
Scaling high walls.
when he had finally got close, Kei grabbed him by the cuffs of his jacket it and yanked him out.
Ambushing helpless prey.
Kei has access to several unorthodox skills and hobbies, and he loves spiders.
And his desires tastes are unconventional unorthodox.

Probably a subspecies of a werespider, seeing how he turns up in Yuuko's apartment in pajamas.
A loud knocking sound is heard.

SENDER: Hang on… don't tell me you're…

A short pause.

SENDER: Y-Yack! Hey! You're drenched! Did… did you... again...?!

UNKNOWN: Sorry, sorry! (Heavy breathing) I couldn't… um…
Clearly a case of involuntary transformation, and not an isolated incident either.

Adhoc vote count started by nkd1325 on Oct 21, 2019 at 4:07 PM, finished with 33 posts and 18 votes.

Current status. We still have time to turn things around.
I've kinda already given all my arguments though, and honestly, I want to care less. I've been getting too salty on anonkun and the quests over there, I don't want to be salty about this one.
So, I'm still going to stick by my vote, but I'm not going to rehash my arguments. Just say that the more I learn about Yuuko, the less interested I am in her as a route girl. :/

People are just excited to have a relationship option again, now that Silas is in a more firm position (since the last one was Hana having a crush on Silas which got shot down if I'm remembering right)
Just chill and enjoy the potential chaos coming up, I'm sure if we work together we can undo the soft-lock later. 😈

Actually, Hana never had the chance to have a crush on Silas, since LuciD planned on her being gay from the start. I don't know if we could have changed his mind at any point while it was still quantum to us...

I mean, if you look at that post, there's an evil laughter next to the option we all took to be as a crush. We saw it, but we figured it would be more along the lines of even darker secrets rather than LuciD leading us on about how Hana felt.

ah, ok I must have missed that conversation.

[X] ...but Silas just doesn't see her that way. (Silas is flattered, but doesn't return her feelings.)

Crushes come and go and we can still discover some new thing about her or experience something with her that changes our view (or hers), at the current moment I don't see a reason to pursue this, but I need glasses to see so feel free to point something out to me.
Also first time voting in this quest but I love this quest so far.

Goddammit. >_<

Wouldn't think I'd be very invested in this vote, and I didn't think she'd get as much support as she did (she had nearly not enough screentime, and most of what we know about her we learned in the last week), but the initial surge gave me hope that I find myself really loathe to part with.

Votes like this aren't really subject to a revote in a foreseeable future. It just doesn't make sense from a narrative perspective to revisit the issue when there are dozens of other things going on that demand our attention. It reduces the importance of the vote, and the pacing of the story doesn't really allow for it. So if Silas doesn't see her attractive, he doesn't, and that is that. The other option is more permissive (perceiving someone as "cute" is not an obligation, although I can see how it is considered a "soft" one), but refusal is pretty final.

The reason I became so... partial to the option is that I managed to persuade myself that Kei and Yuuko could have met Silas before. I can't prove anything though, and it could easily be just me jumping at shadows.
Not that Kei seemed to notice, so wrapped up in his own ecstatic happiness as he was. He just smiled even wider. "...we've had a conversation like this before, haven't we?"

No, we hadn't really, but…

"Of course we have…. Of course we have!" Kei laughed, like it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Take this anyway, senpai. It might come in handy, in case I… you know. Forget things." He bowed, and held out the slip to Silas, who took it gingerly.
"Just because! You're very… interesting, senpai. Because you're so mysterious. And… honestly, kind of scary. But it doesn't have to be like that!" She put her hands on her waist. "If I can dispel the mystery, I can dispel the fear, too! Nothing's scary if you tear away the veil hiding the machinery!"
Why does Kei think we've met before? Just another one of his mistaken conjectures on account of constant memory tampering? Why does Yuuko think we are scary? I've seen mice scarier than Sai-kun! It is easily dismissable, but little coincidences like this could pile up. I was hoping this vote would provide a hook that would let us get closer, and find out whether it is just my imagination, or if there is a story behind it. They aren't in our class, they aren't in our club, and they don't live in the neighbourhood, so without some impetus our interaction with them would have to be limited, and I wanted to create such an impetus.

The Drama from Before carried over to the new setting calls out to me! But I suppose that is too frivolous a reasoning to really convince anyone...

I abandon my principles!

I would love nothing more than to turn this into a harem. Unfortunately, I don't think that's in the cards for this quest, and Yumika is the one I want Silas to date if it has to be just one. I guess there's the possibility of dating someone for a short amount of time before breakup and moving on to Yumika, but that sounds messy.
So Yumika it is.

It's quite likely, given Maeda is about to give him some kind of test which requires amnesiacs, that the reason Kei and Yuuko think they know Silas better than they do is because he was part of the Foundation before. I strongly suspect that that's what Maeda is about to test.

Not crushing on Yuuko isn't any more of an impetus than being friends with her is, and we don't have to think she's cute to be friends. We're already friends with Maeda, and Silas hasn't determined how he feels about her besides that she's a scary, chilly gal.

Actually, we don't know much about Silas' preferences with regards to women or men to begin with.

He ran into us after Nanami used our phone to inform him and Yuk that Madea was going knife-psycho on her. Because Hana was amping her feelings and Silas stood by her. And then Kei found us, recognized the number somehow, and thanked us, assuming we have Foundation alignments.

Speaking of which, since failure to manifest these behaviors now is going to get us Aemnicisized, yea or nay, we're going to forget this choice real damn soon.

Yes, I remember how it happened. Kei never recognized the number (he later mentions that Silas sends his texts "anonymously"), he just concluded that the only person on the scene with perception of paranormal is the one responsible for the call. A natural assumption since the two other people who could were either beyond his own perception, or gave no indication of knowing where the "invisible" door was. From there he assumed Silas was on the level, and if Kei doesn't recognize him, it's just part of the Council policy.

That's the proposed explanation, anyway. I was wondering if there is something else to it.

...which behaviors are you talking about?
