"Really? So I suppose I don't need to tell you to not freak out, even if she starts muttering things that sound like the last words you'd hear right before she slits your throat and hides your body in her closet with the rest of them?"
That was oddly specific, Yumicchi. And here I was blaming the Student Council for the inexplicable disappearances and sudden transfers.
Are you just friends, or best friends?
Yumika, you don't ask people these questions! Also, otako, please. We have it on our sheet and everything!
*pulls out the sheet* Wait, when did it change back?
"Friends…" Silas mumbled into his bed-sheets. In his groggy, sleepy stupor, he didn't realize it, but he had stained the surface of his pillow with his tears. They were happy tears. "I have…"
So anything that… I dunno, has characters like Jogenya Shinrai, and maybe has some romantic aspect, too, preferably without all the dramatic tension and wondering if the writers are going to ruin the romance by killing someone... yeah."
- Friends, let's conduct ourselves as adults. There's greatness even in tragic ends!
- What greatness?
- They make the ones who survived think.
- What's great about that? One should be ashamed to kill heroes to touch the cold-hearted and move the indifferent!
"I guess we have a lot in common! You could almost say you're..." She giggled. She had a huge smile on her face. She moved her lips dramatically: "'Juuuust like me ~'"
Does anyone know what she may be referencing there?
I mean, we know it's from Jogenya Shinrai, but we also know that entertainment in Silas-verse alludes to the events in our world or directly borrows from our media, so what's the source for that particular scene?
The subject laughed. <Haha. Wow. 'You're just like me.' I said that. Haha! Genius, [Self-Referential]! Absolutely genius! Went for that Otaku appeal, I did. And it worked, yeah it did. Woo! I'm so cool, I'm [Unknown Adjective]!>
Interesting. I can only assume that [Self-Referential] edits are made to protect the privacy of the observed.
They have cameras on every square inch and equip their drones with vitals analyzers, but leaving all this information impersonal somehow makes it okay?
That's the true surprise of the update, that REL values are subject to obfuscation even barring SC shenanigans.
In theory, you can go to sleep thinking you are friends, have an epiphany, and wake up the next day to the 40+ REL in pink colors!
Though thinking about it some more, I can't say it doesn't make sense...
Watches Romantic Dramedies - Yumika is in love with the idea of love, and this is reflected in her choice of television. She fawns over fictional characters and their fictional relationships, and her heart soars when she sees two mains finally tie that knot. (Now that Silas knows this trait, +5 ST to all Social Interactions.)
...it was Hana that concerned him the most, however. She had gulped, and looked wide-eyed at him. She clenched her teeth, blinked angrily, and then went back down to her notebook.
Ah. She must have guessed it even before it got announced, if not from Yumika's uncharacteristical absense, then from Silas nervously flapping his mouth like a fish out of water.
Goddammit, we need some memetic defense from this taste-detector!
Kuroda laughed. "...to be honest," he said, letting his confident posture fall slightly, "it was mostly something we had decided to the effect of 'We want to placate Yumika-dono, because she despairs whenever we can't come to a consensus ourselves.'
But you also know she doesn't like being put on the spot that way, even going so far as to decide the outcome with a coin toss! How does that solve anything? Either way the decision gets delegated to her, making her take sides.
And yet he couldn't help but keep staring at Hana. A part of him understands that is might be better to leave her alone, like Reizei said. But… he didn't like the feeling of just leaving her out. It felt wrong. Would Yumika want him to include her? He didn't know…
What does it matter if she wanted to or not? We want it, and we have voted to that effect the last time. Stand by your decisions a little, goddammit!
She is going to be a part of Drama, and she is going to like it! Uh, eventually. I am pretty sure she'll be chewing us out for that one, in all senses of the word.
...which is why I think we may want to choose a different target for socializing this round. I agree with Amperstand on that one - it's going to be hard to put the conflict behind us, and concentrate on the work. She'll want to know why we chose her as a writer, if we have some ulterior motive, if Yumika put us up to it somehow... and our position is compromised simply by the fact that our authority as a Kaichou comes from Yumika.
It'd be best to tackle it privately, when we aren't one.
[X] [WRITER] Hana, the most comfortable choice.
[X] [LEAD] Controlled Chaos
[X] [CW] Tutor with Kuroda.
[X] [RESPONSE] Take him aside and admit Yumika and Hana are having relationship problems.
Did she? I do not recall. I mean, she probably doesn't want us to say anything, but her judgement on the matter is not a particularly sound one. The thing she was most afraid of is that the club would start taking sides, and then it'll all fall apart. By letting Reizei know what he can do to allay her fears, we can satisfy his need to be useful without betraying expectations placed on us.
Does anyone know what she may be referencing there?
I mean, we know it's from Jogenya Shinrai, but we also know that entertainment in Silas-verse alludes to the events in our world or directly borrows from our media, so what's the source for that particular scene?
Hallo hallo! Your resident horrible irresponsible procrastinate idiot GM here. I will be closing the vote tomorrow evening. I'm fairly certain this voting period is shorter than most, but I want to try and get the update along faster this time.
...I'm really itching to get to that kimodameshi this coming weekend, you see.
Edit: huh, we really seem to be going all in on Hana's social link. Nominating her for the writer, having a pep-talk, and then a studying session right afterwards. Not that I mind, I like her whether she's drily sarcastic, adorably sleepy or murderously crazy, so it can't possibly go wrong for me.

[X] [CW] Speak with Hana. No point in rehashing old arguments with her though - let's just give her a friend to vent to, or a wall to bounce scripting ideas off of. (Same as TALK action)
Actually, I'd interpret my vote as not actually a pep talk, just talking to her as a friend in the club. I suspect she already knows where we stand with regards to her relationship with Yumika, and given her reaction I think she thinks we support Yumika over her.
I don't think she'd respond well to us just talking to her about it right now, though, so I want to talk to her about something else to give her a bit of reprieve from the probably pretty steady mantra of "I hate her I hate her I hate her I hate her, why did I let her become my friend, she's an asshole" that's running through her head right now. Give her just a bit of decompression time, where she doesn't have to think about it, and I think she's going to be much happier and more willing to repair the bridges Yumika accidentally burned.
It's evening somewhere! Vote locked! Let's see what the damage is.

[X] [RESPONSE] Apologize. It's personal, and Silas doesn't feel comfortable talking about Yumika behind her back.
Those aren't actually too terrible rolls. Maybe not enough for success in the case of the 48, but high enough that whatever happens can't be too terrible.
I suppose we can't get crit successes with all our friends all the time, even if Silas is increasingly becoming the Social version of Mr. Miyagi.
Okay, okay, this is sort of related to PNHS, bear with me.
So... do you know how Hanami (Flower-Viewing) season is around this time of year? Well, me and my Japanese Honor Society thought it would be cool to man a booth for our local park's Sakuramatsuri festival, for the memories and so that we can have a little fun and enjoy a sliver of Japanese culture.
They cancelled it today because of inclement weather, but that's not why I'm freaking out.
They've rescheduled the event...! For... tomorrow. Not a big problem, right? Only, tomorrow is Sunday. And what do good, God-fearing Americans do on a Sunday? Well, they're dragged to Church by their parents, of course. So... approximately half of my Honor Society can't come tomorrow, which means we'll be completely shortstaffed and missing some really important people, including most of my officers.
I can't even fold origami! The only thing I can do is these horrible square-shaped roses! I'm terrible at hand-eye coordination! And yet we're manning an Origami booth!
Did I mention that I am the president of this Honor Society yet?! Because that sounds like a very important detail, don't you think!
*wants to die*
So... what I'm saying is... after tomorrow, I am going to have a looot of ideas as to how to write Silas's reaction to suddenly having leadership powers in the upcoming update. Now if only I could get myself abducted and [REDACTED] by my local student council or something, that'd be a real treat
You can always repurpose your intrinsic knowledge of folding paper planes (a skill that no one teaches yet everyone possesses), and claim the Origami Booth to be futuristically themed.
On another poster, "Student Council" was printed in a neat, orderly font. The poster listed duties, responsibilities, and privileges of Council members, and while many of the privileges seemed like great fun the work seemed… drudgery, at best. Maeda Kirino's name wasn't anywhere on there, but Silas knew for a fact she was part of the Council.
Huh... hadn't realized that she wasn't there that early on... Early indication that she was separated from other SC's or just due to the fact that there are a lot of them?
And pity upon your soul noble Lucid. May your mind survive these wicked days.
In anticipation of our impending doom aka kimodameshi... I'll just leave it here.
Well, it's not strictly the Student Council, but Nanami and Big Sister are too perfect a fit for me to sweat such a detail.
Drawn by Kamui Eini, the very same. Damn, her art is beautiful!
Kei's 'detective board' was supposed to feature Karne's "Do it for her" meme as an in-joke, but I did not dare inflict it on the artist. The pic took a long enough time as it is. I still snuck in the library scene... that didn't even officially happen. Maybe I am just looking for excuses to put up Hana's posters all over the place, hmm...
It's out! Haaa... I love the coloration. And Ichiro's hat.
For some reason, Big Sister's expression makes me very, VERY happy. I want to imagine that's actually her face whenever she's cracking through secure servers now.
Also, doom? Pfffft. I thought we already established that they just want to make Silas a friend of the Student Council don't worry so much sheesh
Watch the scariest part of Silas' kimodameshi be just regular interaction with other human beings he doesn't know. Like forget about the ghosts and vampires and ghouls... This Yuuko girl keeps acting like she knows him, but he doesn't remember her! :O
Yeah, if he'd notice a kouhai girl making eyes at him, having to come up with an appropriate response would probably be the most terrifying experience. But he's just oblivious enough for that to not be a concern.
Well, for my part I was pretty happy to draw the :T face now that I know what it's like. But if I had to pick a favorite on the pic, it'd be Maeda. As for why...
I think it's pretty obvious by now that I am partial to Hana. In my mind's eye, she is a picture of a classic Japanese beauty (and the only one who wears a full-on dress instead of a skirt). That's because I am hard-pressed to find anything more traditional than baku, the nightmare-eating creature of legend, or mara, its more sinister European counterpart that gave nightmares the name. I like to imagine her all proper, serious and well-behaved when she is properly in control of her, ah, feeding habits.
...kinda like a vampire, huh. The old, aristocratic kind, not the modern kind. It just makes it funnier when the image is inevitably ruined by her more... excitable part.
Back to Maeda. She is also a picture of perfection, but of a different sort. She is a Class Rep and a second ranking member in the Student Council, and half the school is looking up to her. She has an image to maintain. But she is also very perceptive when it comes to psychology and manipulation, as evidenced by her handling of Silas, so she must realize how her appearance, manners, and the entire image of a model student can be used to further her goals. So while I, too, depict her as drop-dead gorgeous, her beauty has a certain utilitarian feel to it (which is underscored by making her the only girl to wear pants).
I find this contrast very amusing, and wish we could have more interactions between the two. I was entertaining the idea of their friendship even before we found out they were anything more than just classmates. In fact, I am kinda hoping Hana wouldn't want to let Silas go alone and sticks with him, foolish as it may be. I mean, even from a Doylist perspective, is there anyone more fit to be present at a horror-themed event?
I am very giddy about finding a way to put Silas between the two of them even though technically he or Hana weren't supposed to be present. Forget Yumika, this is a triangle I would love to explore.
I am very giddy about finding a way to put Silas between the two of them even though technically he or Hana weren't supposed to be present. Forget Yumika, this is a triangle I would love to explore.
Silas is portrayed to be completely surrounded by girls who, for one reason or another, have taken an interest in him, and he is completely oblivious to it.
I'm sorry okay?! It's just that I've found out that I really, really like writing Yumika's perspective! And I also really love the Shinkansen as a framing device!
This one's a bit small, and there'll be no vote. I wrote this in lieu of an actual update because I'm having a looot of trouble with the update right now. Mostly just housekeeping stuff, trying to figure out what kind of horrible maluses I want to inflict on Silas as a result of the failure in the leadership roll, how to implement them, that sort of thing.
Also, characterizing Yuuko for a pretty important scene coming up is giving me a looot of trouble. I can't seem to keep a solid image of her in my mind. I'm sure she'll come around, though! It will just take time, and a lot of cookies for research purposes.
The train tracks were rumbling beneath her feet at a steady rhythm. Yumika kept her gaze down, clutching her school bag closely to her knees. She didn't feel like making eye contact with other people right now - it would feel like too much of a hassle. The effort to maintain her blithe, innocent outlook would be too much.
Only having the sight of the bland, utilitarian train floor to look at wasn't exactly helping her mood, though. And being alone with just her thoughts was eating her up inside again. She considered, for what must have been the thirtieth time, whether or not she should have asked Silas to come with her.
...for no particular reason, of course. She just wanted to bounce off her frustrations on somebody right now. That was all. And maybe she was worried about his safety, too, what was the problem with that? He seemed so fragile. She just wanted to... to...
Her breathing was quickening. That wasn't good. She needed to slow down. Was she blushing? She ought to stop -
"Hey," someone said. It made her jump. It was a girl's voice, low and a teeny bit husky. And it was familiar.
The voice had caught her completely off guard, but Yumika was always good at landing on her feet. She forced her heart to slow; her breathing returned to normal, and her blush faded.
"Hey to you," Yumika turned to her and smiled at the girl who had suddenly occupied the seat next to her. She was a tall girl, at least half a head taller than her. And she was - what was it again? A year older, or something? She had on an old gray coat with little golden buttons - sheesh, she's been seeing that particular coat a lot recently - and the the sleeves scrunched up to her elbows. She was also wearing a cute pair of long gloves - though she made a point not to stare at them for too long. Her navy blue school uniform's skirt looked really out of place next to the rest of her really chic attire.
It had been so long since she'd seen Reina Cherney again. How could she forget her honorary senpai? She beamed at her old friend, letting herself get comfortable in her seat. "Haha! Rei-chan! What a coincidence! I was just in a conversation with a friend about Jogenya Shinrai."
"About what?" Reina raised an eyebrow, confused.
"Oh - it's just this show where one of the characters has your name. Well, close enough, anyway. Rei and Reina are pretty close, right?"
"Eh. Whatever you say," Reina snorted. She shook her shoulders and readjusted her position on the seat to make herself more comfortable. Yumika noticed her hair tied up in a ponytail today - one of Reina's more common hairstyles. She also saw a tiny tinge of gray poking through the brown.
She giggled. "Rei-chan, you're getting old fast. Your hair - have you noticed?"
"Huh? Oh! Oh, yeah, haha…" Reina chuckled awkwardly, brushing her hair a few times with her finger. "Yeah… the stress really is a killer these days."
Yumika swallowed. "A… killer, huh…?" she said, her voice brimming in concern. "You haven't been - "
Her face turned white. "Oh - no, no! Sorry. I should've watched my mouth. That kind of talk raises the wrong kind of flags, haha. I'm not - I'm not… " Reina hesitated. Her voice got a little quieter. "I'm not thinking about it right now. Honest."
"You're sure?" Yumika said seriously.
Reina looked her in the eyes. "I promise. I've… I've had a bunch of chances to talk to Dr. Mutsumi recently. I think she's… helped."
"Okay." Yumika nodded. The worry was subsiding already. Reina… she might be vulnerable, in certain ways, but she was definitely a stronger girl. She's told her as much. Many times. "Sorry if I acted really… clingy, or something, I just… I have a lot on my mind right now."
"Hey, no problem. Don't you dare feel bad for looking out for me, girl," she stuck her tongue out playfully. "After all, you kind of… you know. Saved my life and all that. And, you know, I'm eternally grateful to you."
Yumika grinned slightly. "I think 'saving your life' is a bit melodramatic, Rei-chan. But… I see what you're getting at!"
"Yeah, yeah…" Reina produced a soda can from her school bag and bottomed-up. Gulp, gulp, gulp, gulp… She exhaled satisfyingly after downing half the can, wiping a bit of choco-flavored root beer from her chin. "Hey. Penny for your thoughts?"
"Nn?" Yumika turned to look at her. "What do you mean?"
"I think, you know, I ought to look out for you, too. It's the least I can do, after all you've done for me. Especially since you're obviously feeling down."
"You can tell?" Am I that easy to read right now? Shit.
Reina nodded. "Come on, girl. Spill."
Yumika let out a shaky breath. Just the bare necessities. Come on, you can handle that, right? "I got into a scuffle with a friend, and now she hates me. Then, instead of facing her, I… got on this train. And made another friend fill in for me in the Drama Club."
"Ouch. No offense, girl, but that sounds scummy." Reina frowned. "...was it bad?"
"It was the same girl who… I…"
Reina's eyes widened. "Oh. Oh shit. I thought you two got over the rejection trauma already - "
"I-It wasn't about that, actually!" Yumika said quickly. "That… memory… just sort of made it worse. F-For me. I think Hana-chan thinks that is already water under the bridge at this point. Something… else happened." Yumika looked away. "And… I've got a lot of… conflicting feelings right now. About everything."
Reina's eyes glistened mischievously. "Sooo… was it a boy? Did the ole' jealousy bug catch the both of you?"
Yumika's forehead turned indignantly red. "T-That's - ! Also something I'm working through, but it's completely unrelated."
Stop thinking about it. Stop thinking about it. Breathe, you knuckleheaded idiot. Breathe. You are in control of yourself.
She took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly. Her fingers felt all fidgety and cold.
"Aha! Okay. If you say so." Reina took another sip of her soda. "Hey, Yumika-san. Let me tell you - I can tell you're under a lot of hell right now, but… you've just gotta believe that it'll eventually be okay. Don't let yourself get dragged down by dark thoughts. Or you'll end up like me. Aha…" she laughed darkly, coughing a few times.
"Are you sure you're okay, Rei-chan?" Yumika asked.
"I am. Really. Dark humor is natural to me! Don't think about it too much."
"You… made a lot of dark jokes about yourself on that day, too," Yumika said quietly. She twiddled her thumbs.
Reina paused. "...yeah. You're right. You're right. I guess I'm not exactly in the best of spirits either, to tell you the truth. Um - it was… news. From home. Personal stuff. Apparently some of my... ah... family members are... doing... not so well. Don't - Don't let that confound my message to you, though. I'm just relaying what you taught me two years ago back to you - see the sunshine behind the rainclouds, and all that. Please. You're really important to a lot of people, least of all me. None of us want to see Yumika-san down."
"...'us'...?" Yumika blinked.
Reina laughed nervously. "The, ah… the guys at Computer Club maaaay have had a hand in putting me up to this. Okay, yeah, and I got approached by, like, four people from your homeroom and - you're not angry at me, are you?"
Yumika giggled. The thought that there were other people thinking about her gave her heart butterflies. "I'll… I'll take your advice in my heart, then! And you… you have to do the same. Pep talks aren't usually mutual, but I'll make it mutual. Both of us - we'll find that sunshine together!"
"Yeah! And… listen, girl, don't be afraid to ask for some outside-context help if things get bad, okay?" Reina moved an inch closer. "I never asked for help when I needed it. I'm… really, really goddamn lucky you came along when you did on that day, Yumika-san. But we're not lucky all the time, yeah?"
"Yeah…" Yumika nodded, expression pensive.
"Hey. It was nice catching up with you again. Whatever you're dealing with - I'm your girl if you need an ear or a second pair of fists. Remember that."
"I will!" Yumika beamed at her. Without warning, she seized forward and properly glomped her, causing her to jut back, startled. She smelled like chocolate and strawberries.
"Agh - A Yumika hug!" Reina laughed when she regained her composure. "Haaah… I missed these. I used to have the biggest crush on you, you know that?"
"You bring it up every time we talk, Rei-chan," Yumika giggled into Reina's jacket. "And you say that to everyone. Pretty sure you've broken, like, three hearts so far."
"Four, actually. Aww come on, what does it take to embarass you these days?" she laughed in response. The bullet train started slowing to a stop. Reina patted Yumika on the head. "Oi. I gotta get off here."
"Likewise." Reina winked. The bullet train's door opened with a sharp hiss. "Well - seeya around, Yumika-san!"
"Bye!" Yumika waved her away. Reina stepped through the doors and melted into the growing crowd outside. She bumped her head to some invisible music for a bit - Reina was always good at pick-me-ups. Really, all of her classmates were really sweet to her. Some days she just wanted to gather them all together and hug them close to her heart until the end of time. She wondered for a moment if she ought to spend more time with them, and Reina especially, before putting the thought aside - Reina wouldn't want her to force herself to hang out.
She was feeling awfully nice, but her mood fell apart like a house of cards at a single errant thought:
I wonder of Hana-chan had the same kind of reaction from her classmates.
Because no; of course she didn't. People, in general, just didn't like Hana. They preferred to sweep her out of their minds, or keep a respectful distance. Granted, she wasn't very approachable - but that didn't make it any better. It wasn't fair, she thought, that she got to feel good, bolstered by the goodwill of her friends, when Hana didn't have anyone similar who would work so hard to lighten her mood. She only really had… Yumika. And she went and screwed that up, and…
Yumika seized up suddenly. Someone was banging on the window she was leaning on. She spun around - Reina was glaring at her, and she seemed to be shouting something long, loud, and encouraging - if only she could hear her.
"MMM HMMM HRMM MM MM!" she exclaimed. "HMMM HRMM MMM MM HRM HRM!!"
"Um… what?!" she said, mindful not to raise her voice too much.
"MM HMM HM HM YRMKA HMMM HMM MRMRM MRMM MM!"
Her breath was starting to fog up the glass.
Yumika nodded vigorously, if only to stop her from being dragged away by the Metropol for causing a public disruption. And to stop everyone in the cabin from glaring ruefully but passive-aggressively at the two of them.
Reina frowned, and pointed her index and middle fingers at her eyes, then back at Yumika's. Then, laughing silently, she walked away, out of sight of the train. Just as well; a few seconds later, the vehicle started to move once more.
Yumika sighed. It really was nice to see Reina again. And… she was right, of course, in a lot of ways. Yumika thought fondly of the days where she pegged her as some sort of inscrutable foreigner with her inscrutable foreigner wisdoms, and constantly harried her for advice about life. And when she ignored how unintentionally racist she was being and actually gave it! Hah!
She could reminisce about Reina for hours. A lot of good memories and a lot of bad ones. But right now, she decided she needed to focus on herself, and… and getting home. Reina probably would have wanted her to do that.
The train sped up and the world turned into something of an illegible blur. Yumika fought the urge to go to sleep, and so sat there, her legs swinging in the momentum, deep in thought.
(New!) The cat visits have decreased dramatically. The distribution of the cat food seems to be handled by a single heavy white-striped cat, who wears a tiny little crown made of twigs and yarn. The cats seem to now regularly attend meetings where the white-striped cat holds a stick and "blesses" the offering of cat food, before doling it out. Silas assumes this is normal cat behavior.
Mostly just housekeeping stuff, trying to figure out what kind of horrible maluses I want to inflict on Silas as a result of the failure in the leadership roll
Oh, that's easy! Riku and Renji falling out, Mikado selling out to the Maeda branch, Kuroda asking Dorima-himesama for creative input since everyone else is dysfunctional. Plus, Yumika and Silas bounced some ideas off each other just last update!
Reina was everything I imagined her to be, and more. She just projects a 'cool and mature' vibe. The low husky voice may have something to do with it.
It's just nice to see a confirmation that a character we only hypothesized about not only actually exists, but is actively involved with some of the regular cast.
...I can't shake off the feeling that she is older than she makes herself sound.
Well, maybe not that much older. While you can have grey locks early, it probably doesn't start at 18. Her hair is pretty obviously dyed.
Does Yumika know Reina is Ozzetchian? Does she know about Ozzetchian hair? It doesn't look like it; she shows no signs of recognizing Silas as one. Another question is, why does every Ozzetchian we've met - besides Silas, that is, - hide their hair? Do they not want to look foreign? Or is it a coincidence?
She had on an old gray coat with little golden buttons - sheesh, she's been seeing that particular coat a lot recently - and the the sleeves scrunched up to her elbows.
...it's almost uncharacteristic to see someone admit to having a crush without beating around the bush. Refreshing, even. Yumika must trust Reina very much, considering how much effort she puts into concealing her true character and emotional states, from random passersby and her classmates alike.
"I think, you know, I ought to look out for you, too. It's the least I can do, after all you've done for me. Especially since you're obviously feeling down."
This was totally coincidental that you've crossed paths exactly when Yumika needed a shoulder to lean on. Doesn't look like a pre-planned meeting at all.
How many levels of Subterfuge do you have, Rei-senpai?
Reina laughed nervously. "The, ah… the guys at Computer Club maaaay have had a hand in putting me up to this. Okay, yeah, and I got approached by, like, four people from your homeroom and - you're not angry at me, are you?"
"Hey. It was nice catching up with you again. Whatever you're dealing with - I'm your girl if you need an ear or a second pair of fists. Remember that."
But Reina isn't her classmate, if only because she is a year older. I wonder how they know each other. Was she a part of Drama, too, and left with the others for the Computer Club? Or was she in the CC to begin with, and then lost the presidency to Hanamura, like Reizei did to Yumika?
Yumika thought fondly of the days where she pegged her as some sort of inscrutable foreigner with her inscrutable foreigner wisdoms, and constantly harried her for advice about life. And when she ignored how unintentionally racist she was being and actually gave it!
Yumika does have a problem... in that she sees a problem everywhere, even in a harmless curiosity about an outsider. We should keep her away from Allen, he is planting ideas in her head!
It was one sweet sidestory. Reina is grrrrreat! I can't wait to actually meet her face-to-face!
