[] Magnus has ideas. Many, many ideas. You're slightly worried.

[] Magnus is grudgingly willing to train you as the Wardens do. A focus on mental strength and control over your mind and soul, to ensure that nothing can ever force you to Fall. And ensure that your mind will remain yours. This is something you're well experienced in, and what you feel would be easiest to learn.

these two are what i want...lets see what happens next.

Oh hell yes! For those of you not in the know, Durante is one of the Wardens who got lost in the Warp after the battle on Cadia, and Vergil was the unlucky Guardsman who got stuck with him.

Durante and Vergil escaping the Warp means that they are both guaranteed to be Heroes and Daemonsbanes with narrative CR (they have already been added to the Daemonsbane tier informational)

The best part about this is that Durante and Vergil's DC to escape the Warp was an 80, and they rolled a 75, but because Kesar psychically awakened this turn, it actually gave a +10 to Durante and Vergils rolls and they managed to escape.

All that aside, Daemon, would you mind expanding a bit on what Magnus' ideas option actually entails?

It's basically you letting Magnus have free reign over the training process entirely. So he's allowed to come up with an entirely custom lesson plan and curriculum without a large amount of input from Kesar. So it's best to think of it like giving control to the nerd that is Magnus and seeing what he can do when fully unleashed so to speak.

I imagine this option would be pretty good for our relationship with Magnus, as it shows that Kesar is willing to trust Magnus after his recent character development. Tbh, since we do have narrative CR right now, other than reaching 300 CR to get the Purity Aura, I'm not actually that worried about raising Kesar's CR.

[] Focus on learning your natural affinities and inclinations, then craft a training regime best suited to your unique disposition

How's this?

So looking at that nasty -100 to all rolls that Kesar is getting, is there any way to make the penalty drop faster like by constantly fighting and using psychic powers in combat or is this just something that will come with time?

I can confirm magnus would love it.

That's actually the last option for the vote, namely training you like you do the Warden psykers.

It's just something that comes with time. Trying to rush it means that I roll to see if you suffer permanent issues, which I'm choosing not to give you the option for.

So what are the odds Magnus is going to tell Kesar about his little raid into the rehab rejects palace?

Fairly low, at least while you're in Sol.

[X] plan best of two worlds
-[x]Magnus has ideas. Many, many ideas. You're slightly worried.
-[x] Magnus is grudgingly willing to train you as the Wardens do. A focus on mental strength and control over your mind and soul, to ensure that nothing can ever force you to Fall. And ensure that your mind will remain yours. This is something you're well experienced in, and what you feel would be easiest to learn.

My plan is pretty much "do magnus' ideas, but with breaks inbetween ideas to focus on the traditional Warden methods"

I feel like Magnus is going say that he is getting mixed signals here.

It's a bit of a mixed signal yeah, the way I'm rationalizing it is "brother I want you to have control over my training, but I would like you to add in some of my sims traditional training for me, both as a way for me to be more through in my understanding of my own psykers, and as another thing I can have in common with my sons, and perhaps help them with"

This is my preferred option.

Magnus is the expert and our friend and brother. Whatever happens he wants us to succeed at this. We trust him.

Besides, it sounds like fun.

[] Plan Magnus goes crazy

Tbh, I just wanna see what Magnus has in store and I also think it would be a good show of trust between Kesar and Magnus to let him determine the best way to train his psychic powers which, to be completely honest, Magnus is better at anyways. That's why Emps brought him here after all.

[ ] Write in: Unleash the Nerd: Hand Magnus the notes on Warden training and discuss all your knowledge of the warp with him, including runes. Hell let him examine actual runes. Weather he takes anything from these things or not is up to him. Go crazy, brother.

Essentially Ideas but Kesar decides to try nerding with him. That and adding more knowledge/discussion to fuel the Ideatron 9000. We shall nerd with the Nerd. What will come out of the other side? Who knows?

Heretic

we will raise the CR till chaos Kesar would be powerful enough to kill all chaos gods at the same time and we won't stop until then

-[] Thankfully Magnus also has a more grounded training schedule based on how his most powerful psykers were trained. A complex flexible program intended to teach psykers about the warp in order to improve their safety. Not how you would prefer it, but you can see the merits of it. It would also be the easiest for Magnus to teach.

Remember we promised Magnus we'd let him take the lead all those years ago. We already have narrative CR, we can afford to let Magnus lead for a bit.

I will add Unleash the nerd if it gets approved.
