Not sure if your joking, or being serious. These are Xenos that specialize as Anti-Daemon not Anti-Ork, their just as likely to die as the Space Marines if not more vulnerable. Spending their lives foolishly on Orks, is as bad as Churchill throwing away lives at Gallipoli. Let us use them wisely.

I am beong serious, but I didn't meen to send them alone and die in droves.

What I meent was to ask them for help when we go there ourselfs, this way it shows the humans that they are serious about being part of the Empire and are ready to fight.

Yes its risky, yes its not their specialization. But they can still help and show how usefull peaucefull and cooperative Xenos In Imperium can be.

Thats the gits of my idea.

I mean, it's a decent idea however, we have more imperative things to do. Things we were specifically called to and told to do by the Emperor of Mankind. Daemon-slaying is calling, and so too are the worlds being besieged by Cultists and Daemons. So do we risk more sons fighting in a place we don't need to and actually takes us away from completing the orders of GEOM or do we march unto Hell, leading our sons in and out of these layers we delve into.

I'd really prefer to use them taking that planet that the Emperor wants us to take that is covered in cultists and daemons. Just... seems to be the better use out of them.

It suffers demonic incursion wich are our Xenos specialty.
And don't forget that under Emperors orders we must go to any deamon world, so we really need to keep every advantage we have.

Malcador's Struggle and Kesar's New Lessons
Malcador's Struggle and Kesar's New Lessons

In a gargantuan golden palace, a simple room stood - remaining plain against the gothically baroque backdrop. Gold dripped, painting every surface throughout the palace but this one. Alone in it's demeanor, it's aesthetic was all that was left from simpler times and an age long forgotten.

A door creaked open, the light that would have flooded the room further was squashed by a titanic shadow. "Malcador," said a Primarch, it's inflections and tone alongside an eidetic memory granted to him by his perpetuity and pysker powers identifying it as belonging to Kesar Dorlin, the 11th Primarch. "How do you fare, Grandmaester?"

Smiling at the niceties that always came with the Primarch, the venerable elder and steward of the Imperium answered. "Tired! I'm old and my bones groan and creak, yet still I sit here doing a task your father should be aiding in." Looking up from the data-slate containing information over thousands of subjects and reports from various informats, the Grand-Pysker vision was assaulted by the sight of Kesar and his new armor. "New armor," he asked glibly already knowing the answer.

"Vulkan forged it for me," the Primarch replied his usual smile alighting his features. "Said I deserved it for completing the herculean task of managing to make Perturabo smile even the littlest while working alongside a group."

Already aware of what had gone on, the immortal man merely raised an eyebrow. "I see. And it lasted naught but minutes before you ensured your sons would live on yet again I presumed?" Nodding a head sadly, the Primarch lost his smile as he stepped in the room. Still grieving, always grieving Malcador presumed. One of his few flaws, if really the only one.

"Malcador," said the Primarch once again. "I've come here…."

"Did you know," interrupted the Master of Assassins already aware of what Kesar would ask, he was capable of precognition and sometimes it proved useful. "That your father vexes me. 'Help me saved Humanity,' he said. 'Help me start a Crusade to ensure our people did not have to cower under rocks and in caves, let us end these threats that laid us low' and where is he? Hiding away working on his projects. I know the truth, that man is only working on those projects of his to hide away from his responsibilities."

Kesar's face grew less grim at that, and the light that had been dimming grew strong once more. Good, he thought. It wouldn't do for one of the more human and empathetic Primarchs to fall apart, much-less completely lose that capacity. "Your father," Malcador began knowing his old friend didn't mind the slander he'd speak. After all, what was a little bit of ribbing done through a son when old friends had pranked each other by making them wake up on Death Worlds with no clothes and covered in the smell of alcohol. "As seen through your brother Roboute Guilliman is an extremely skilled statesman and administrator and rather then use those abilities to forge his Imperium into one of the best possible states, he hides away. Leaving his poor old friend to take on the task of integrating planets and their governments into the Imperium, working to create various bureaucratic organizations that will help govern this Empire, and create a tax system while I'm already laying down the lines necessary for informat networks, training assassins and taking out countless threats to his pet projects."

Though he could see the apprehension filling Kesar's face, the Primarch stood still not caring what he had to say about the Emperor, merely seeing a man who needed help and his own capacity to give it. "I see," was the 11th son's statement. "I'm sorry you face such troubles." Shifting his position, he knelt before Malcador, bowing his head low. "Perhaps I may help Sigillite. Teach me what needs to be done and I promise you, I shall reduce the level of work you receive fractionally. My own domain shall no longer trouble you."

"Oh," Malcador said looking faintly amused at this statement and request. "You would ask me to place more burdens upon myself?"

The giant merely looked apologetic as he spoke again. "I would ask you to trade short-term pain for long-term benefits and aid." Staring into the Sigillite's eyes, he continued speaking. "I would ask that you do it for me. That you do it for yourself. That you think of the benefit it brings to the Imperium and that you at least consider my request."

Not caring to sugarcoat what was to come if he was to accept the request despite already have, Malcador answered the Primarch. "Your vision will swim as you read thousands upon thousands of reports. Your brain will ache as you delicately balance the task of integrating planets and their governments into the Imperium, adapting laws to benefit all and punish those needed, while ensuring all obey and pay taxes. And you will take these lessons of mine, use them to do what is required to your own domain. Teaching your sons and those below you what I taught you here"

Smiling at Malcador's words, the Primarch said the only thing he could say. "For humanity, for the Imperium, and for you Malcador - I would move moons and stars."

And just like that, Malcador thought. The 11th would grow once more, proving the Emperor's doubts wrong. "Indeed," he stated his face not showing the pride he felt. "Then join me Kesar, and allow me to teach you the wonders and plagues of Star Nation Governance, integrating other entities and tax systems."

Edit: This is less of Omake for rewards and more because honestly I sat in class and this came to me.

That should get us a decent amount of PP jah?
ehh... kinda? it'll give us an extra 749.14 IP, but every additional IP we get has diminishing effects. Before adding in multipliers and the IP we'll get from the infrastructure improvements we are looking to do this turn, it'll only give us 160.73 PP which means after the new tier 16 planet we'll get even less PP out of them. Still trying to figure out at which point the same investment of PP will give more being invested into tech than into infrastructure. But I'm pretty confident its going to be a few turns yet at least. Especially if we are going for the Valhallan Defense improvement. Which, I do agree I'd like to do. Maybe the turn after next.

I see the point and normally would agree with the argument because they are right.

But Lave V is our responsabilty not Lorgar, its not only about the Emperor mission but also how other will se Kesar and the Wardens.

Kesar ASKED Lorgar for help with Lave V, when he quit Vulcan and Lion decided to help instead and now suffered enormous losses and the system is still NOT dealt with. Also I don't know how would you like if the son of a bitch which is the Ork Warboos somehow Escaped and returned with massive Wagghhh that wreck our entire domain(I can see it happend if the rols will continuse to be so shit)

Its simply is a problem which is 1. Our to begin with 2. And if not dealt soon can became even bigger clusterfuck that wreck multiple Legions pice meal if the trends don;t change.

I just don't see this ork lasting much longer. Especially now that the Lion's blood is up. He came in unprepared for what he faced. Now though? Now he's ready. I fully expect things to be very different the next round.

Does this mean we became an Elite Pencil pusher?

I mean not quite, I just figured it'd narratively make us a much more effective administrator like above-average for a Primarch since I'm pretty sure we're decidedly like low-average to just average in that category. But as I said, I mainly wrote that because I was in class thinking of the quest and then I was like Kesar coming to talk to Malcador and that's all I had for guidance before it turned into what it did.

I really really hope that you are right, because eighter I'm to paranoid to be helthy or Tzeench is using Lave V to slow down the Crusade, give the Legions casualties and sow discord between Primarchs. I rally hope it will end next turn.

A Long Awaited Gift
A Long Awaited Gift

On Terra, amongst a beautiful garden starkly contrasting with the Planets desolate look and polluted environment stood a gigantic statue, carved in the likeness of the Roman Numeral II. Kneeling before it was a being whose height almost rivaled the statue, bearing a face so used to smiling yet, now covered only in tears as if the owner had forgotten how to smile.
Why do you cry? Who do your eyes pour forth tears for? Is it me? Am I deserving of such tears...? No, I am not
"You know Brother," the words poured out of the beings mouth. "I may not know you, and I may never know you like many have. Yet I wish I had, I wish I could." More tears poured down from the Primarch's eyes. "Your fate, consigned to being forever forgotten by the people you once fought for, once saved is a fate that I would not wish upon anyone."
I do not know you, but I would... if only I could.
Looking up from his position, Kesar stared on at the statue. "Forgotten, unremembered, unknown. These are what you and your Legion are." As he spoke his face changed, morphing from sorrow into righteous anger showcasing his relation to the Emperor with how similar they looked. "It is a fate I find myself disgusted with, something entirely anathema to me. This is why I could no longer allow this. This is why I can no longer stand silent, allowing you and yours to be nothing but dust, meaningless to the people you stood for and protected."
A fate none would enjoy, and I thank you from rescuing me from it.
With a simple flex of his leg, the Primarch went from kneeling to standing. His height rivaling the statue before him. "I spoke to the Emperor, our father and found myself turned away. He refused to tell me of you, saying you were better off remaining unknown. Angered, I turned to my allies in the Mechanicus believing the Sigillite would hide you from me too. Yet the Mechanicus knew naught of you, merely recalling orders placed for your equipment. Disappointed, I went looking for our Brother Alpharious. It was with him I hoped to uncover your secrets, yet we found nothing. Saddened, I broke and went to Malcador - pleading with the old man, who eventually succumbed to my impassioned pleas." His anger morphed back to sadness, but gave way to a watery smile as he continued speaking. "He told me of you, letting me know who you where. Your name, your personality - all of it he told me. And when I asked for the name of your sons, he told me of them too. Though he refused to tell me your fate, I knew enough to make a guess."
The Emperor would have me forgotten, but I thank you brother. You did what was necessary.
His smiling disappearing once more, "I won't judge you. For you are dead and that is a foolish thing indeed. No I come bearing brotherly reconciliation. I come to make amends and peace, to give you something you once upon a time wished for, before everything fell apart." Grabbing at a contained magnetically attached to his waist, he pulled it off and held it in his hand. Looking down at it, Kesar spoke on. "I told you of my hatred of such an accursed fate, and it's true. I despise it utterly and wholly. That's why brother, when I was seeking out appropriate gifts to send all my brothers - whether making them by my own hand or scavenging the galaxy for one, I thought of you. Lost, forgotten, unremembered. Though you may be dead, you still deserved some kind of gift."
You are the gift brother, if only I had met you sooner... perhaps thing would be different.
Gripping the container just a little tighter, Kesar continued his monologue. "I thought of you, I thought of what you may desire. What to gift to the dead I wondered? You have no need for guns, no need for technology. What use is it to you now? So, I sat thinking deeply. And it was in a fugue I figured there was at least one thing I could gift you. Something that hopefully grants you peace in death and in your next life."
Peace? I would like that. Forever we fought, even now we fight... Peace-Bringer I name you and charge you with.
"That's why brother," Kesar said looking intently at the container. "I asked Malcador for the remains and graves of all your sons and you. Scouring the galaxy I found each one and had their remains cremated, and through Malcador I received your own ashes." Smiling at the container, pride sufficed Kesar's body. "I would take you and yours, bringing them with me - taking them to my own homeworld and erect a monument to you all, utilizing each and everyone of your remains to create the monument. Once done, I'd have the memorial bear you and your sons names."
Take us, remember us. Make the monument, go forth with my blessing.
As he continued speaking, he grew louder and louder. "You and your sons would finally be remembered, for I would tell my sons and people of your tale, educating them as to your importance. Upon our armor we would fix your names, calling you blood-brothers ensuring you would be forever known. You would live on eternally with us, fighting against mankind's enemies and serving eternally. A chance of retribution and redemption, and through it all we would only honor you and yours." Smiling sadly he finished what he had to say. "As long as my sons and I fight on, you will be remembered. Not as you died, but as you once were long before your fall."
Thank you brother.
With his piece finished, Kesar turned and walked away from the statue, exiting the beautiful garden. Yet a whisper carried on, bring his last words to the statue. "I shall carry you forth for always, your name carved into my armor - affixed upon my breast, Abel Simeon."
No. Thank you Kesar Dorlin, Peace-Bringer - Brother of the Second.

Edit: Imagine that with the Vietnam War Memorial Walls encircling it all, with the words changed up to match the people mentioned in the above omake.

I just did the math based on the spreadsheet, and maybe I'm missing something, but I only got a difference of 82.73 PP, presuming they're starting at the Infrastructure 3 planets and moving up from there.

Alright folks, I shall confirm only one thing. The surprises are back in at least one of those two omakes.

Did not the second Primarch fall to c'tan corruption and his legion flee beyond the light of the Emperor?

Honestly, I don't fucking know. Lol, just wanted to write the piece. Assumption is he rebelled against the Emperor for whatever reason, him and his sons being utterly destroyed and stricken from the records before Kesar was found. That's what I was thinking of as I wrote. This is them remembering them as they were, loyal protectors of Humanity and the Imperium, he disavows any actions taken against the Imperium and the Emperor though and will comment that he does not take favor to that which the 2nd in that little lead up to his death.

The Horus Heresy novels hint about what happen to him here is a thread on reddit

But I like your story better so far.
