Oh that damned, gold plated, arrogant asshat!

Valdor is really starting to grind my gears a bit. Seriously, he deserves getting his ass handed to him repeatedly for that damn stunt.

malcado, the emperor and valdor have done more to destroy the imperium in this timeline than chaos, rebels and external foes all combined

So was Malcador feigning his surprise when Kesar showed upw ith Magnus and Alpharius and asked about the order to attack Prospero?

Damn. That's aggravating but I suppose we should have expected as much from Emps' own spymaster.

Does Kesar know this all in character btw or do we need to put the clues together still?

What events have effectively brought the three of them to decide on "Okay, all the Primarchs are now officially out of the inner-circle of trust"?

It's not quite known in character as opposed to heavily suspected. Along the lines of Kesar thinking "this seems rather likely" rather than sure of anything.

What events have effectively brought the three of them to decide on "Okay, all the Primarchs are now officially out of the inner-circle of trust"?

That would be a sudden conflux of multiple viewed betrayals in rapid succession. The discussions on Orus were viewed as a direct check against them, then came the events on Venus rattling them, followed by a reveal that Magnus has been working with the Eldar who they didn't trust.

As a result, most of the Primarchs involved in those are now out of the inner-circle of trust.

So the civil war has already started then and attacks have begun in the shadows.

Unless I'm misunderstanding the situation.

Malcador has been doing shaping operations for a few years now.

Kesar's inner Ori will soon be rearing its ugly head as he makes this theory lol.

Would yoi be willing to expand further on what Alpharius talked about with malc once Kesar left btw?

Would yoi be willing to expand further on what Alpharius talked about with malc once Kesar left btw?

That would have been Alpharius trying to figure out if Malcador was involved in this and being led slightly astray by Malcador admitting to other things he did before truthfully saying "I had no idea this was going to happen." Which while Alpharius was suspicious was able to tell it was the truth. After which Alpharius and Malcador effectively argued over if the Imperium is fine or not before Alpharius stormed out.

Who do they trust less at this point, baseline humanity or the Primarchs? Astartes I figure still have plenty of chances to show their loyalty.

So what do they think of Kesar?

Near as I can tell we're loyal, want everyone to try and find a way to work together, and think the general system needs to be improved because the current system won't hold.

Do they think we are firmly in the opposing camp and too naive to survive this universe or something?

You don't really know, even if Kesar suspects you're in the doghouse.

There are so many unknowns in everything happening at this point. It's pretty crazy. I mean that in a good way, of course. I'm enjoying this.

The Man in the Middle - (Main threadmark)

Here we have a rather excellent descriptor of the Consilium Principis, and organization that wound up lasting less time than expected. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +/-10 to Consilium Rolls on what they'll decide to do over a civil war
[] -5 to Malcador's rolls for the turn

When A Man Comes Around - (Main threadmark)

Here we have a very fun omake related to the coup, covering some of the prelude to it. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Skullface gains Decisive Action - *Reduces casualties among his forces by 20%*
[] +10 to Skullface's rolls for the turn (Years 51-55)

Final Preparations - (Main threadmark)

Next up are some more pressing preparations for the coup, namely a good bit of preparation regarding how to handle the Custodes and getting assets into place. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to Skullface's rolls for the turn (Years 51-55)
[] Agapito makes notable progress towards a new trait (~20% progress)

A Sit Down - (Main threadmark)

Then we have an omake covering one last sit down between Orban and Eli, I do rather enjoy how this omake treated the discussion, as well as how it introduced some background lore. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +/-10 to Eli's rolls for the turn (Years 51-55)
[] Slightly reduced chance of the Emperor taking more drastic action against Gamma factions

Prelude to War - (Main threadmark)

And here we have a look at the start of the coup from Orban's perspective. It's rather fascinating seeing it all begin to play out, and that last talk between Eli and him was great. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Skullface gains Preparations in Place - *+10 bonus when surprising enemies*
[] Slightly reduced chance of the Emperor taking more drastic action against Gamma factions

Jenetia Krole, The First 'Soulless' To Survive The Sea of Souls. - (Main threadmark)

Next up is Krole's teleportation from her perspective. It's rather well written I will say, and I do love the warp sections within, along with some of the subtle remarks it shows. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Slightly increases the number of Sisters that do not side with the loyalists should a civil war occur (~10%)
[] +/-10 to Krole's rolls this turn (Years 51-55)

Close Quarters - (Main threadmark)

Up next we have a description of the close quarters fighting occurring in the palace, and how Project GI was able to operate. Overall very fun, and in this case the reward was already given.

*Reduced damage is done to Terra during the coup*

Pyrrhic - (Main threadmark)

A rather excellent finale to the coup in terms of omakes, it's an excellent view of what Orban was going through at the end once he discovered his actions hadn't succeeded in full. Overall a great omake, and for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Skullface gains additional assets that go along with him
[] Increased trait gain for Skullface this turn (Years 51-55)

Prodigy of the Wardens - (Main threadmark)

And here we have a fantastic omake covering Aengus as he prepares to face the Cemetary. His emotional turmoil was fantastically written, and his relationship with Lares was excellent. For this, the reward was already given, which proved quite critical to say the least.

+20 to the Cemetery compliance

The Secret Relationship - (Main threadmark)

Up next we have a fun look at how Guilliman and Yvraine's relationship looks from the outside. Euten and Aldritch's commentary here is great, and I do enjoy Euten's ideas. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to Guilliman's rolls for the turn
[] +10 to Yvraine's rolls for the turn

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to the Triquetra's rolls for the turn
[] Increased trait gain for the Triquetra this turn (~10%)

The Gamma Factions - (Main threadmark)

Here is an excellent look at the various Gamma factions at play at this time, along with their ideologies and key members. It's a great explanation of what's going on, and for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] Slightly decreased odds of escalation fromthe Gamma factions
[] Ask the GM a question and they shall answer (subject to veto)

Inchoate Planning - (Main threadmark)

Here we have a fantastic if grim omake covering Horus and Perturabo planning the unthinkable. It's very well written, and it is sadly all the likely to occur. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to the Horus' rolls for the turn
[] +10 to Perturabo's rolls for the turn

Grey Fate - (Main threadmark)

And at long last, we're caught up with omake rewards! An excellent look at Mara Greyshroud, one of the main Gamma faction leaders, it's very well written overall and I do enjoy VUlkan and Konrad's parts. As for your reward:

[] +15 to a roll of the GM's choice
[] +10 to the Mara's rolls for the turn
[] +10 to Vulkan's rolls for the turn

'Grasping Net', The Rune of Bone - +10 to a roll of the GM's choice

So hopefully this means that when omakes are posted now, a reward will be handed out a lot sooner.

[] Ask the GM a question and they shall answer (subject to veto): I'll do one for all the rune folks. "What are the effects of Soul Runes?"

It's just hilarious how the Teleporter Safety research was first a major justification for agreeing with Eli's deal, and then the coup happened and that fell through, and yet by sheer luck Jenetia Krole was by pure accident launched into the Warp and then came back and gave us the data to give the tech to Kesar anyway. Also a wonderful bit of inspiration to make this omake, haha.

For the reward, I pick the second choice, Slightly increases the number of Sisters that do not side with the loyalists should a civil war occur (~10%), as the more Sisters on our side is what I like!

I do so love the Triquetra so much. They first came out as a test and, with this compliance, have firmly proved themselves as a tested addition to the Eternal Wardens structure. Nasin is my favourite of the bunch, although writing this gave me more appreciation for Savinath too. Can't forget Aengus as well, who while not part of the trio was a pivotal part of this too!

After much deliberation, and the fact that three of our best heroes are already at Lahrens, I will pick the second reward, +10 to the Triquetra's rolls for the turn, to better protect them and perhaps also help out with trait gain if they roll well enough. They also already have a (~10%) for trait gain from a prior reward, so let's see how things play out again!

[] Ask the GM a question and they shall answer (subject to veto): I'll do one for all the rune folks. "What are the effects of Soul Runes?"

The effects of soul runes are rather esoteric, and on their own they aren't that useful. Effectively what they allow is for a receptacle that can hold a differing amount of "soul" within them. Think along the lines of soul gems in Skyrim. Using that, it's possible to essentially enchant weapons and armor using the soul within those receptacles. It works best when used on a dead person's former wargear. Effectively breathing life into the machine spirit.

Ah, while the answer is already given, I believe Ruirk meant to question about the effects of putting a Rune on a Soul rather than the effects of a Rune of Soul. Sorry, I can see why the terminology would be confusing between Soul Runes and Rune of Soul.
