I am happy that the dragon is free. Between those and the orks the galaxy has a major chance of chaos losing. Which i consider much better than chaos. Death and oblivion is much better than the perversion of humanity that chaos signifies.

@Durin
Shouldn't Ridcully be at 6 steps in total? You said he stepped on the path twice during this interlude.

With the scrying of the Gork and Mork, the divination of the Deceiver, watching the birth of Ynnead, and discovering the Emperor's connection to the Ctan we should be at 6 steps in total.
he is, he has stepped 5 more times along it after reaching step 1

If you are here @Durin
1. What is the position of the Child (of Hate) in the Eldar Pantheon?
2. What is the Child (of Hate) for the Eldar? (if different to 1.)

that and Abadon is going to be very busy dealing with him , so busy in fact that I doubt he will have much of a chance to find the trust seeing as it will take him a century to but his affairs in order while the dragon will be free in less than two decades

Also whule abadon can try and attack the trust to force the eldars to stick and fight. Consider that the places where he draws the fleets away would be an awesome targets for roaring rampages of revenge. Eventually he would have to summon back his fleets to quell unrest.

I am extremely happy with the traits Ridcully has earned. Now that he is effectively an alpha level and is about to get a 700% boost, Ridcully is going to be an absolute monster. Granted the people we will be fighting against will get a boost as well, but still!

I am excited to see that a lot of the Eldar God shards will be reformed by Isha. It's a shame Arha decided to throw all of the Khaine shards away though. Had he just been patient for about a century Khaine would have returned! Oh well.

Do we have any ideas of potential steps for Ridcully? We need 3 more and even if he doesn't accept godhood yet, he would still get a huge power up by getting to 9/9.

While the ritual was not nearly as successful as it could have been it has still significantly effected the galaxy as a whole. The weakening of the veil will increase the power of psykers across the board, and will make summoning daemons and divine servitors far easier. While this will help Chaos more then any other fact there are several other groups that will benefit, of which the Eldar and the Avernus are some of the most obvious. You are not yet sure exactly what impact it will have on pskers power, but are currently estimating power boosts ranging from around fifty percent for the weaker psykers to over 700% for Alpha Psykers. This will disproportionately effect those polities that field the more powerful psykers, again Chaos, Eldar and Avernus. The ability to more easily summon daemons and to better keep them in the Materium will be the biggest impact for the forces of Chaos, and seeing large daemonic forces deployed by Chaos polities of all sizes will become common. Few other groups make major use of divine servitors, though that may change as more Eldar Gods are brought back to life.
Once again I lament our inability to find the Throne Of Heroes.

Dear stars he is getting swole.

Just keep doing what he's doing.

He gets steps by learning divine secrets, spying on divine events or participating in them.

Dear stars he is getting swole.
You think that's bad just remember Avernus has hundreds of alpha + as guardians and they just got an even bigger buff.

Is the veil permanently weakened? Or will it fix itself/can we fix it?
There is nothing we can do. The level of power and skill are far beyond us.
Wait, Isha is already a Goddess. So she transcended a second time?
Gods are not automatic transcendents. She was also a created god so is not an ascension. There is a reason that minor gods like the Exalted are don't have those traits.
Is that as well the reason why Rotbart still lacks a Paragon Combat trait?

Yes. We haven't put him in a situation where he's needed to push through his limits to earn it.
No he doesn't have it also because is over 50 score is because of his gear.

Khaine is nearly as big of a threat as a help. He is the god of murder for a reason. Plus his better parts were used to make several new gods of war for the Eldar. They will serve the Eldar better than Khaine ever could. They are on the cusp of becoming Great gods after all and are the highest level and power of minor gods.

Actually rotbart managed to get to 50 without his gear a while back.
He is at 53 with his sword,probably higher if the chest plate and the gauntlets finally get put into the sheet.
Also all of our major heroes are due to a combat upgrade soon,since we are going to breach half a millennia surviving on avernus.

@Durin
1. Have the Eldar begun worshiping Ridcully? Either in secret or officially?

2. Is it common for the Eldar to name their children Munstrum?

3. When you say that Ridcully will constantly be seeing major turning points, do you mean that Ridcully will be able to divine these sorts of things more easily or that these things will come to him unbidden and without an action?

Oh nice, Durin might have taken a little more inspiration for Ridcully from my last omake between him and Isha for that adviser to heroes trait.

Also, that's adorable he's the Godfather of the Child of Hate. I'm assuming that Areatha is the Godmother.

@Durin I wonder if it is possible to developed Adviser to Heroes into Adviser to Gods and Heroes? Or something akin to it. Someone mentioned going for full Merlin, which would be fun.

Let's hope Ridcully can scry who the Deceiver's patsy is now. If it's Callamus, we need to decide how to handle that (without triggering a war) before the next Grand Conclave.

she is, HWWO is the Godcat while the Ancient One is the adoptive grandfather/greatuncle
and yes

I'm now imaging the Child of Hate routinely trying to stuff her face in HWWO mane now.

Also, it should be interesting that with the revival of the Eldar Gods and the surviving members of the Concordant, we could see more deities asking for Ridcully's divinations on certain matters. This, in turn, would give him more opportunities to actually advise them, and also make it so that Ridcully understands gods from their personalities.

Be interesting to consider that Ridcully might have a proverbial warp hotline.

@Durin Great update! I have quite a few questions if you don't mind.

1. How many more casualties should we expect as a result of Avernite wildlife being more deadly due to the ritual?
2. How has the ritual affected Bloom Bees and their food production? Has their bonus to food production risen from 20% to 25% or 30%, perhaps?
3. How has the ritual impacted the potency of runes, reagents, and different foci? How much more powerful are they?
4. Now that the ritual has happened, and we know how effective it was, how much have warp travel speeds increased for us and Chaos?
5. Should we expect Abaddon to prioritise dealing with the Void Dragon above dealing with Avernus, given that it's an existential threat to the entire galaxy? Or is he so annoyed, or will he have enough forces to spare after consolidating, that he might focus on Avernus anyway?
6. Now that Ridcully has Mythological reputation with the Eldar, what is the current composition of his personal bodyguards?
7. Since the Planet Mind will be more powerful, does this mean that the rate of evolution/adaption/manipulation of life on Avernus will increase too? If so, do we have an estimate of how much?
8. How does the threat of the Black Imperium affect reform of the AdMech and AI acceptance?
9. Do we know if any of the Dragonslayers will be among the Eldar heroes who Isha can resurrect?
10. Can you tell us any more about how much the Eldar's population growth will be affected by Isha? e.g. Their population will double in the next century/two centuries etc.

@Durin

1. Has the chaos ritual affected the ability of Blink Spiders? Can they now teleport hundreds of miles into someone's face or something?
2. Has it affected Bloom Bees and their food production?
To quote Durin "minor psykers cannot pull much more from beyond the veil so get little effect."

@Durin
Who is the better seer, Ridcully or Eldrad?
Eldrad.

He's a transcendent, older, got more power in general he's better.

Rids beats him in specific neiches like information gathering and learning secrets, but Eldrad wipes the floor with him on precognition for example.
