has durin told us what kind of powers the exaulted angryls have? I assume they have a paragon in combat at minimum, but what transcendent traits do they have?

Hah that would require him to sally out from the vault. Too bad we already lost Helm's Deep.

I don't see why corruption in Dis would be a problem. Lin purified entire heavily corrupted worlds tainted by centuries of chaos rituals with only a few years spent on each planet. Purifying one Hive would be very little problem for him.
Because we won't have Lin around for much longer. Plus purifying stuff takes away his precious time.
^^

Especially since priority one for anti corruption stuff on his part has to be people not a place.

No transcendent traits. To my knowledge its very very hard for a warp being to transcend to the point I think the Exalted may only count one among their number.

What they have is large numbers of paragons/blessings and apex power which lets them fight on a level above most transcendents because they've got more power than they know what to do with and they know how to use it effectively.

I doubt it would take him even a year given how this is just one hive instead of an entire planet. And we've had him spend time on controlling corruption in every past incursion. I rather doubt that's going to be completely skipped this time.

^^

Corruption of a place doesn't happen this fast. Corruption of places wasn't a problem in the previous two incursions. It's all corruption of people.

The only time we had serious place corruption issues was when the Valinor Crusade crashed a bunch of daemonships into the city.

This is pretty much why beings like the Phoenix Avatar Lords can curbstomp even exalted daemons. They were transcendant level warriors who then gained power rivaling exalted.

Corruption of place has always been a worry, its just that the cleaners have always done away with it on Avernus, to say nothing of the fact that we've never had an exalted never mind two in the same region when baring in mind a single one can turn most worlds completely uninhabitable due to chaos bs by standing there for less than a minute.

Remember the Ancient One went all the way from the North Poll thousands of miles away to two hours behind the Angyl while thousands of Archangyls tried to slow him down, in about six days, he can probably out run anything we can put him on and Areatha retains teleportion capacity, just she can't teleport the Ancient One since according to Durin nothing warp based effects him, ironically one his biggest advantages vs Exalted is a big disadvantage to engaging with them.
I have actually been imagining Areatha opening up a big wind tunnel and basically flying AO at super high speeds on a levitated bit of rock.

Forces of the Fallen
Forces of the Fallen
Ishim: The Servants of the Lord of Intolerance, forged through his own power and will to replace his once mortal acolytes . They serve as his eyes, ears and blades throughout the galaxy, founding cults with the same zeal that Chedolaomer once hunted them. When marshaled to war they are hardly lacking, fighting with individual might somewhere between Seraphim and Cherubim, and far more initiative then either. Yet this flexibility comes with a price. The level of initiative and independence that any inquisitorial acolyte needs is anathema to the mindset of the Abomination, and Chedolaomer's conflicting impulses have led to a dangerous instability in this type of angyl. Over the long term Ishim can rarely balance their conflicting impulses, falling into rote obedience or deviant behavior and thus end up killed by their master for once failing or another. Indeed, one Ishim even fell to the Changer of Ways, and now serves a powerful Lord of Change, the daemon Mur'phae.

Conscripti: The angyls of Bra'nagin, these faceless legion of men appear at first glance to be standard humans. Yet a second glance reveals the two perfect limbs, unnaturally stiff movements, and unnatural uninterested stoicism despite the battlefield they find themselves on. Yet the most eerie thing about them is they are all identical, from their face, to their equipment, to their uniforms. A nigh endless army of utterly interchangeable, utterly disposable soldiers, just as Bra'nagin prefers. Each equipped with noting more than a lasgun and flack jacket, these forces are woefully outclassed by nearly anything they shall encounter, relying on sheer numbers to win.

Domini: The creations of Asmodel, these long robed faceless angyls have the bearing of judges, and they have judged all of humanity guilty of failing their emperor. Their greatest weapon is their fell voices, castigating foes and allies alike for their failure, bringing moral minds to despair. Despite this, they are quite skilled with their maces, and gleefully use them against their foes.

Virtues: The sisterhood of Cassiel, they are one and all former Sororitas granted Angylhood and inducted into Cassiel's elite guard. While few are a match for even the least of the Archangyls they nonetheless represent a terrifying concentration of force upon the battlefield. Their very presence inspires their mortal allies, and their skill in the air makes them incredibly jump troops.

Beowulf-Pattern Angyl Titan: Forge-Lord Radueriel-555's latest creation, these beast are similar in size to a warlord titan, and appear as a giant suit of baroque plate armor. Radueriel has expended great effort to forge them into conceptual dragon slayers, and hopes to test them upon the dragons of Avernus, gaining battle date for the creation of his next line of work, and to turn his masterpiece upon the forces of the Void, gaining great favor from his god.

@Durin Here's another omake.

[] Plan We're Screwed Prototype
-[] Priority 1: 1st Circle Archangyl: Slow- You could attempt to slow the progress of the 1st Circle Archangyl with your elites and minor heroes, buying time at the cost of letting it get closer to its goal and many of your best troops
-[] Priority 2: Target the Elites with Deathstrikes and Hold the Walls
-[] Priority 3: Outside Battle: Clear the way- Rather then fighting a battle outside the walls you could focus on clearing a path to allow the Lizardmen to reinforce Dis
-[] Ridcully Help with slowing the Archangyl with his divination
-[] Have your Seers continues to focus on the defence of Dis
[X] Deploy airforce- Suffer significant damage to airforce, cause major damage to daemons on primary front- This is the decisive battle

For outside battle according to whats on Discord using them to help clear the way for the Ancient and Areatha is also possible however only by a bit so I'll change it to that if people want it.

We need to switch most of our remaining forces to priority 1. We are in the endgame now it isn't the time to hold back we need everything at Max effectiveness.

Ok, first of all, we have been very dumb. There are multiple regions that haven't been attacked at all. We have their plans so we never would've had to worry about a surprise attack on them, so we could've moved the troops from those regions to other regions without issue all along.

With that said, I think that we should move EVERYTHING from those regions to the embattled regions. Every single grunt and gun, not only from the PDF and Guard, but from the militia too. A reinforcement surge of hundreds of millions of soldiers would massively improve our ability to withstand the final push. Furthermore, Durin said that the people in those regions won't get the survivor trait, but I'm guessing they might if they all join in in the final fight.

Good news: Elysium, Duat, and Tarascon are completely safe! (By that I mean even safer than when there isn't an incursion in the first place, due to reduced wildlife attacks)
Bad news: The people in those areas aren't getting the incursion survivor trait.

Just now Durin mentioned we are already doing that.

Reunion
Reunion

After the blade was swung and her illusionary world shattered, she was sent flying to safety, landing heavily and skidding through the compact burning earth, as the First dispatched a section of its body guard to keep her occupied. Meanwhile she was sent spinning north for miles upon miles, crashing through hills, trees and Angyls until at last she arrested her momentum, arriving bruised, but otherwise unharmed within a ditch carved by her passage.

Standing instantly to her feet, wincing through the pain, she moved to begin to block the strikes of the mob of Angyls that descended towards her, led by a member of the fourth circle, seeking to take advantage of her sudden landing.

Then they all fell dead, like puppets with their strings cut in a manner she had seen thousands of years ago while training in the depths of the jungle, instincts long buried causing her to start running at her full pace, enhancing her speed with biomancy, telekinesis and more to keep up with the furious pace her teacher was setting, the Eldest Lizard barely paying attention to the clouds of Angyls that tried desperately to intercept him.

"A shameful display."

The Ancient one hissed his admonition at her, as they ran as she added her own powers to attempting to clear their path, knowing not to bother trying to enhance him, as his body would resist any and all intrusion whether by friend or foe.

"I did what I thought was best."

"Over confident." He snarled over her response, cutting down a Third Circle Angyl glaring at her.

"Your spark has become a fire, but you are not yet a conflagration. One of their kind you have defeated before due to skill and overconfidence on its behalf. But, they note each other's failures, another would not make the same mistakes."

With a cry of frustration she traced the rune of banishment then power and modified it with anti abomination frequencies, the combined technique cutting through a gilded legion enough to allow them both passage through it, their pace starting to increase as they left their pursuers behind.

"I know that. I thought I could delay it not defeat it. But it was just trying to get me out of the way and had the power to do it!" She stopped an almost sob wrenching itself from her throat as they ran, the simple reason for how it had managed this feat tearing at her soul as she remembered the furious argument, she had had with Lin only a few short years ago.

"Time. If I had had more time, then I might have been in a better situation to stall it. More power, more artefacts more knowledge and skills. I've had so much time and now I just don't have enough of it."

A flick of her wrist erected a bridge of shadows across a vast ravine allowing her mentor to cross immediately without needing to leap it, letting him keep his full speed as she erected a sphere of whirling lights around the pair of them, that shredded any Angyls that approached them into dust.

"And time you lack and always will. Now you simply realise it. It is no surprise. Few have had as much time as I."

And bitterly she nodded. She wasn't certain how old her Mentor was, only that she knew that no matter how far back into the World's history she went there were always references to him in one form or another. Amongst the ruins of dead Peoples, the earliest records of the Guardians, the recollections of the Eldest weapons he was always there going back tens of millions of years in some cases, always the near omnipotent embodiment of perfected skill that all looked up to in awe and astonishment.

Unrivalled and unbeatable.

And then there was her, rushing to accomplish in a few measly thousand years what had taken him untold eons to accomplish. To a human complaining about living a life equal to 20,000 of their years would seem absurd, but the fact remained that for most that was not enough time to come close to the level she needed. For most they did not even reach her current level even with more time. Perhaps if she had started long before now, constantly grabbing any opportunity she could have managed for strength then she would have had the necessary strength. A short-sighted view, but one that would have helped stop the nightmare scenario currently unfolding before her.

"Calm yourself."

The imperious command of her teacher cut through her self-doubt and concerns, while he plunged his blade into the abdomen of an Angyl before ripping its heart from its chest.

"You have made mistakes. You are young, it is expected. For now, you will aid me in the battle we will undertake. Together we will scatter the Prime Daemon from the World. And afterwards we shall talk."

Nodding slightly under his chastisement she refocused upon the task ahead, putting all her attention towards clearing the path that would lead them to the mountains, the First Circle and Dis, both of them picking up speed in the process as she swatted aside the chaff Angyls allowing him to deal with the Archangyls, falling into an easy rhythm of her removing environmental obstacles from his path as they both picked up speed, the two of them working together more than enough to fend off these minor foes.

Their enemy apparently thought the same, as a Second Circle leading what seemed to be nearly a fifth of its total bodyguard shot down towards them from on high.

In a moment a plan formulated and was executed without even needing to consult the Ancient One, a black hole forming in the middle of the gilded legion, the technique devastating the lesser angyls and dazing the more minor Archangyl's, clearing the way for the Ancient One to leap towards the Second, completely unphased by the black hole's pull, his spear bursting through the Second's breast plate, the being immediately on the back foot.

Individually she would have been pushed to defeat the entire group quickly even with the anti Tjapa techniques, and the Eldest would have been delayed thanks to sheer numbers, his preference for duelling. But together they were able to defeat even this force in good time.

Good enough time that both felt the ritual beginning, the First channelling its power on a scale that was astronomical and in a complexity that impressed even her as they both silently pushed themselves to their limits straining

They had both failed to stop things from degenerating to this point, but neither of them would let it move further than this.

Its all very well wanting to be like your teachers and idols, but when said idol has had more time to perfect their craft than the majority of the galaxy combined its a wee bit unfair. Stick to the smart thing, support have a sappy reunion later.

Introducing tracking on the granularity of what region people were in seems like it would double our number of unit types.
