So who do we think are going to do best out of the trade: The Quartok, the Nynye or (when we get round to them next turn) the Sirens?
The Quartok have the smallest jump but the biggest existing industry. [...] Not sure about the Nynye.
Quartok. The tech will boost the nynye but wouldn't really change anything on account of them being Avernites. The tech will boost the quartok as well but the effects will be more than just "the current situation but more". The Imperium colonised Avernus with a tech level of 10, and the quartok are about to go beyond that, so in time, if we don't see them colonising other worlds, we may see them launching their own colonisation attempts within other Avernite regions. The tech will make each of them individually powerful enough that even with their small numbers, they'll have a strong enough effect on the field that even were their population growth to be capped to what it is, they'll still make an appreciable effect in wars. Although on population growth, tau tech probably has a bunch of technology that can help the quartok boost their numbers, so they'll become an asset to the Trust much sooner than initially anticipated, and improve as an asset much more quickly as well.

when fired at a target instead of disintegrating atoms
It disintegrates molecules, not atoms. Adrathic weapons are what turn atoms into sub-atomic particles.

Eh I think it best to wait a bit.

Unless this is the push needed I want to wait until they start offering their True Runes first...
They are never going to offer True Runes with the current trade. Never. Because we are giving them glorified luxury food in exchange for tech. A consumable resource for permanent knowledge. They will always hold back the good stuff in the hope that some day we will offer them knowledge in return.

Unless you want to argue that we should have Tranth spend however many turns making aquatic tech, then convince the AdMech to give human-invented technology to xenos we have nothing to gain by waiting.
And I will point out that the Nynye are quite capable of trading with People other than us.

I would think the cell forge would help colonies at the very least. Get to 50% self-sufficient for material production in the first thirty years and bootstrap their way into limited local exports inside a century if all goes well? (I don't recall any figures for colonies, this is all top of my head stuff)

yeah, the thing is all of your colonies are well past that point now

Only after Lin has finished his studies. Those studies are more important than the world cleansing. A few extra planets is not important compared to the otherwise impossible to get knowledge that Lin gives us.
I worry that it will never end or that we will have to continue things and make a choice on research we want to do. Like right now we will pass the chaos gods because of the triple down, traits and stats. But eventually we may have to make a choice. Not soon since the Eldar treatments are working but in the future.

lets hope that it only takes like a year for lin to finish his translation of his research on paper so he can move on to other things.

(twist- he actually doenst have anything, he wasj ust being lazy and tried to come up with a excuse for why he has nothing so he said he can't tell anyone....he is trying to get SOMETHING to say when the times comes or else come up with another excuse that will last him till he dies.)

We could probably spend Minor Favors on cleansing worlds.

If nothing else we can always wait a millenia or so for them to naturally decontaminate. Or maybe get terraforming technology, and exterminatus and terraform.

That's fine. It doesn't matter if there's lots or a little, it should still be higher priority than some planets. Don't obsess over land.

I have to say that there are not so many major gods left in Warhammer 40k to research, aside from Gork and Mork, 3-4 from the Eldar Pantheon, and potentially the C´tan as a whole.

Pretty sure I recall Durin saying that Lin's study/meditation/ect won't work on the C'tan.
Maybe, I don´t remember if Durin said anything in that regard, but my point stands, the other gods can be researched in 2-5 turns, and Lin will still be around for at least another 22-25 turns, and if we are lucky and the Eldar try to Rescue Isha in that timeframe he may live for centuries.

@DurinIf Ridcully is given a place among Isha ´s rescue group, and Lins finishes his research about her before that happens, would that give Ridcully an advantage in the rescue?

It's just the one heavy planet since if we do not do it we may never be able too. Heavy corruption never goes away while the lesser ones will eventually.

Speaking of that...

@Durin
1. It's been 70 years since we wrecked Valinor. IIRC you said that it would take something like 50 to 100 years for worlds to cleanse themselves, or at least ones with Light corruption. Have any done so?

Honestly, non-Lin world cleansing is not that far off.
I mean, it will take at least a century with current research backlog, but...
-There is an option (unlisted, but certainly was there) to research chaos frequencies. It's incredibly dangerous due to corruption, but Ridcully doesn't have to worry about that anymore.
-From then, it could go similary to ork frequencies- find frequencies that destroy chaos (peace, calm, temperance, etc.). It would probably require research into specific chaos gods, but we could beeline towards chaos undivided.
-Then there's research into a thorough cleansing power, then greater version of it (to make it usable on planetary scale), then training people to actually use it.
While it would lack Lin's potency, you could spread this knowledge to other human polities, giving them a potent weapon against chaos.

I know it's a long shot, but with all the high-tier research Lin does, we have a headstart (e.g. nature of chaos gods => easier time finding their frequencies).

I would vote for anyone who manages to work in asking the Sirens whether they would buy artificial lakes or medical assistance from us in exchange for trade credit.

I would argue for this instead of the Nyne trade on the basis that while we are far enough behind on implimenting psykic stuff that we don't gain an immediate benefit from anything that either group gives us, it will help our reputation to be seen to get out of the soul trade as soon as we come up with an alternative,
on the basis that not only is the group we are aligned with already at a significant enough tech advantage to mostly outdo their rivals, but also that our alliance with the Nyne is based on a personal friendship between two individuals who live high risk lives(for all that they are both very difficult to kill) and could be compromised if something manages to kill one of them,
and also on the basis that having an alternative implimented before the Blood Dragons bring it up could really help the government reorganization diplomacy with them. Though I would still vote if it was worked in any other possible way.

Or did I take too long and the vote is closed?
