We'd need a nice big fat bluff to convince the conservative AdMechs that Men of Stone are not actual AIs unlike the Men of Iron but the paroxysm of Machine Spirits first, then reveal the MoS Template we've hidden in our underwear drawer.
Regardless, muspelheim has confirmed they have this technology, which could have saved many lives.

As opposed to previously, where it was only suspected.

They're going to get a lot of ill will no matter what.

It's unfortunate that the groundwork for 'MoS are actually machine spirits' hasn't been laid down yet, because that question is close to being confronted if muspelheim isn't careful.

Well that was a particularly glorious slaughter, Rotbart managing to curb stomp an entire invasion fleet into the warp before they even made planetside keeps his rep in good order and should go down well with the new governor of Asgard.

Well the Fabricator maybe dead if Piren's omake makes canon :)
Not dead just a meat puppet for the president.
Damn, I just realized that we once again didn't see Ophelia in action.
I mean the one torpedo volley that routed the fleet was only able to do it because of psyker support. Given what we know about psykers in fleet battles (only alphas really count) i imagine a good portion of that was her.

Not really.

As far as I can tell their trick with the plasma is something that could technically be given to other people, but they can very easily argue that its something that's only really practical on Muspelheim...

I mean forget using it on a planet.

Not dead just a meat puppet for the president.
Actually that's another thing, ain't she meant to be alpha plus?

A blank of that level should have been uncomfortable, but she should have been able to make it's head explode by her mere presence if she's that strong?

Well... THAT happened. Get wrecked, Chaos!

@Durin
1. The text says that Atlas's Ark Mechanicus was one of the first casualties of the battle, but it's still listed in their forces. Is it destroyed or not?
2. If it is destroyed, wouldn't their Fabricator-Locum also be dead? Generally speaking you put your best guys on your biggest, most powerful ships since they're usually the least likely to get wrecked. Or was the guy smart enough to put himself on a different ship knowing the Ark would be targeted?
1. it was destroyed,
2. he got out before it went up, it was tough enough to take multiple hits from the heavy spinal accelerator but not topugh enough to have a chance of suviving after the first

everyone new that their orbital cities have some unique technology, how useful it would be elsewhere where you dont already spend an utter fortune magamaproofing everything making it not just a interesting type of self destruct is a different matter entirely.
yes

@Durin
1. How is Jacob's health calculated? Doubled from To the Bitter End then tripled by Distillation of Humanity?
2. Has Lulana finished her equivalent treatment for herself to Jacob's knowledge?
3. Out of curiosity, how powerful (in all senses) is Lulana compared to other Queens?
4. What was Chrone's tech speciality?
5. Do we expect Rotbart's success will increase Hrothgar's opinion of Rotbart?

Bout to ask about that, ninja'd by GM.

1. yes, so 6 times in total, more in terminator armour
2. she has
3. skill ways near the top psychically, pwoer wise at the top, general combat skills near the top, admin skills near the bottom
4. plasma
5. yes it will

Nah its totally possible.

That's the issue with DAoT tech its so fragmented because people in different areas of the galaxy came up with different stuff, the Admech just interpreted it as being unified.

Regardless given the size that the other human polities have reached I'd say they likely have some trick each to keep themselves together beyond fudalism.

If a major human power had warp drives much better than the other humans it would be such a big deal we would know since that's a fundamental alteration to the capabilities of the society.

As for other major human polities, one of them has several primarch running around who can act as roving heads of state, the Smurf one is explicitly said to struggle with it's size but to have adapted to make it work and the major forge empire is so isolated it doesn't need that rapid responses to threats, yet.

There are some thing that are possible that are so thoroughly absurd entertaining them is a fallacy, managing to snag some massively better human tech warp drives is one of those.

There is a really good chance he will be done fixining the fleet before the Waagh. Dawm I hope we get even more pints of Rotbart deep for this. Especially since Rotbart led a fleet and that conservative knight did nothing but stay on the ground. Did not even kill a single Chaos cultists when Rotbart slaughtered a fleet.

Welp we gotta re-investigate her then.

@Durin
1. Any chance we can salvage some of their stuff from destroyed ships and dumb it on Avernus for it to Clean?
2. How fast is Lulana's hierarchy growing in power?
3. Do we think it would be beneficial to assist her growth via our economic power? Having a very powerful, friendly Avernite society close at hand, especially one we can do projects with rather than broadly work around seems like a good thing.
4. Out of curiosity what horrible things would tattooing a rune of focus do to a person?

Not really, big galaxy and these things can't exactly propagate far.

Especially since Durin's keeping exactly what goodies each polity has quiet until the meeting :D

Where was the main, then?
We don't know. :D

Anyway, considering the size and decentralization of DAOT humanity, one may not even exist. Just a series of major warp research colonies on unique planets or places with warp phenomenons. Who may or may not send their research back to Mars or Earth.

@Durin

So speaking of Bertil...

1. How does Vanahiem see its incoming psykers?
2. Are they granted the same citizenship status as others after graduating?
3. Are citizens and psykers allowed to go to the plane to enjoy its beauty?
4. Who runs the Vanahiem office of telepathica?

I remember you said said that the only way for Rotbart to gain another martial paragon trait or improve his own is with void actions , right now what are his chances of that ?

[X] tell the Eldar Warhost to stay at Hvergelmir to continue slaughtering the chaos forces on planet.

Only thing I can think of to add.

@Enjou what you think of keeping the Eldar at the colony since Asgard does not need them because of Rotbart greatness?

Warp drives are a fundamental infrastructure tech, considering that they would help fundamentally shape the polities structure due to how much interstellar travel is based on them the only way we would have notice such thing is if the people who have them keep them so underwraps they might as well not exist.

These are not random polities we're trading with these are people we have dones extensive research and diplomatic mission to.

Please stop trying to give this idea room. The logic it's based on is so broad I could argue we could trade for unicorns from one of the polities with the same kind of argumentative strength.

Anyway I need to go to sleep now it's fucking five in the morning on a school night I need more self control!

Or they're very expensive and are used for fast messenger boats to carry emergency orders and the like.

Chill, they may exist, doesn't mean they're common and they probably don't.

And yes we've done a lot of research into them, but we don't know what they're bringing to the table specifically, only their broad tech specialities, from which we can infer things.

Thing is we probably can trade for unicorns.

They'd probably be Catachanian and can fire their horns as ballistic missiles, but unicorns are possible :p

Yeaaaaah...possibly.

Sleep well.

Ah, one of the Imperium have Vulcan, he could have worked on some better warp drive or got them from the eldars or whatever.

Well, that happened. I REALLY don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth because taking out the enemy fleet before they even make landfall is amazing, but is it bad that it kinda disappoints me at the same time? Was hoping for some cool ground battles and maybe some traits for our heroes/elites.
