@Durin
1. Is the kidnapping of the Grey Knight (which has probably the closest you can get to Emp's DNA) the kind of action they think the PM would take if it wasn't being subtle in their opinion?
2. Have the Quartok noticed anything funky going on around them? Just checking, but I get the feeling that due to their low pop growth and small numbers any changes will be nearly imperceptible ATM.
1. yes
2. not yet

You know I was looking over the character sheets for Xaiver and Mittens. Both of them are very close to being Paragons of combat and stealth/intrige. If Mittens is recovered enough once Headcrusha is dealt with we can send the two out as part of the clean up crew. Get Xaiver the next level of swordman maybe.

@Durin
1. Are Nilfheimers classified as abhuman?
2. What about Muspelheimers/Svartalfheimers, with their "no psyker potential" genemods?

On Avernites becoming Abhumans could it be with these general enhancements the PM is just conditioing the Avernites to be it's main super soldier army to act as part of it's mass attack and defense system? So far it seems to be altering Avernites to be less specialized like the other races and just in general improving thier hyper murder Combat Skills. Like a fusion of John Wick and Captain America.
Speaking of John Wick you know what's more deadly then John Wick
Avernite John Wick;)

As long as Avernite compability with Gene Seed does not dimish I am okay with whatever the Planet Mind does. We should pettition it to keep that human trait. (Imagine the hardliners ripping their hair out at subhumans that have a better/same compability with what is the holy grail of pure humans)

Actually the planet mind might make Avernites more suitable for the grey knight geenseed. Sorry poor unknown grey knight you have your life so that one day there will be legions of grey knights killing things.

Given that Avernites are the only species on there which have a presence in the greater galaxy this does make sense.

It could also be that the PM is exploiting how malleable humans are compared to just about...everything else (we stretch in all kinds of weird ways.)

Given that the PM has almost certainly 99.9% probability kidnapped a Grey Knight (the best an astartes can get)...for some reason, I find it likely that we'll be able to keep it.

Not just Grey Knights, HYPER GREY KNIGHTS enhanced with Old One super BS!

@Durin
1. If we're allowed to tell people like the Sphinx and Areatha about the knights, can they propose any reason for why the PM would kidnap the Grey Knight? The current reasoning is that its studying it to see what the best kind of improvements could be made to humanity (emps DNA and all). Would they say that is logical, but also has a very high chance to be completely wrong, with an alternate reason being that its creating a new species of Grey Knight thingies?
2. How likely do they think that the Grey Knight is dead/would wish he was?

  • [x] Plan Ambush
-[x] Balanced Stance- By using a mix of dug in forces, raids and sallies you would be able to greatly speed up the battle without risking to much of your forces . -Currently selected
-[x] Deploy the Last Hunters against Headcrusha- The Last Hunters equipped with the most deadly poisons of the Nyenye should be able to inflict some major wounds on Headcrusha, and may even be able to kill him.
-[X] use potions to also help boost them
-[x] Use space marines to lure Headcrusher into ambush
    -[x] Authorize vortex grenades
-[x] Medium- Have your fighters move to seize control of the skies from the remaining Ork Fighter-Bombers. -
-[X] Deploy your Descents- The Decent Destroyer is designed to lay waste to armies after descending to the lower atmosphere, use them. This will also be a major benefit for your air forces as the Decents formidable AA is brought onto the field of battle.
-[X] Psyker Support [Ambush forces] - Your Diviners, Telepaths and Biomancers could support your ground and air forces, improving their impact and preserving their lives.
    [X] Plan: Escalate Everything
-[X] Agressive Stance- By using the defences of Khazad-dum as an base of operations and anvil you could launch a highly aggressive campaign, using surgical strike by elite forces to inflict crippling damage to Headcrushas horde. This should allow you to quickly remove Headcrusha's aces, at the cost of high casualties.
-[X] Deploy the Last Hunters with alkhestry potions and poisons to ambush Headcrusher.
--[X] Lure Headcrusher with a Space Marine veteran acting as our commander into a prepared ground within the city.
    --[X] Authorize vortex grenades.
-[X] High- have your airforce participate in the defeat of Headcrushas personal horde. Heavy losses are expected but the addition of another field of attack could prove valuable in this battle.
[X] Abandon Khazad-dum. Nuke it till Head-Crusha is dead. Then double it.

Honestly from an OOC perspective I'd prefer it if we didn't gain the knowledge that the Avernus planetmind grabbed the Grey Knight. Could cause some issues.

That said, we still have no better idea of what happened there. The planetmind is still on the list mostly because it could theoretically pull it off rather than any solid evidence for it/motive.

I totally forgot that a grey knight was kidnapped

seriously, what is happening to him?

edit: (ok, MAYBE kidnapped)

Eh, considering all the utterly insane and terrifying things that are on Avernus what with it being an Old Ones bio weapons lab don't think anyone else would actually be that worried about the possibility of the PM kidnapping the Grey Knight considering all the things we pretty much know it's doing including organizing the wildlife against us so that we keep adapting including creating new ones when we start adapting too well.

Throw in that we have confirmation of an apocalypse beast that can wipe our all lfe in the sector and a hypothetical galactic WMD imagine the Trust just not being that worried since it having a Grey Knight wouldn't really make it that much more dangerous considering everyhing else it has.

I just got confirmation that the Chaos Constant that I posted about earlier is actually just a randomly rolled number + a constant. Chaos Corruption has probably not become twice as infectious as when the game started.

We think the plane mind got him. But if we ever want to know it is on the long list of stuff Ridicully has to do.

I will be pushing for him to tell Eldrad what he knows about vect and investigate the local Tzeench polity. I think they are encouraging all the wages that keep hitting the Trust.

Ever since I've become Durin's Patron, he's opened quite a few spreadsheets to me as a reward, here is what I have found out!

The Imperial Trust is just barely able to tolerate the Quartok, as a whole. -1 out of 10. They like Avernites (8/10) just a little more than Avernites like them (7/10).

The name of the Ork in charge of a tier 6 Waagh is called "Trinity of Gods". Given that he would be at a minimum a Transcendent Combatant, with an extra +3,200 combat bonus on top of that, I am confident to say that calling Beast^2 a "God" is in no way, shape, or form an exaggeration.

500 billion Orks in one system is a level 2 Waagh. If 166.66 Billion Orks are all fighting together, then that counts as a T2 Waagh. You only need ~4 trillion Orks all fighting under the same Warlord in a system in order for it to qualifiy as a T3 Waaagh.

Durin is keeping track of our noteworthy "achievements", one of which is called "The Ends Justify...". 3 guesses what it is for.

About one in every 18 million Avernites is born a psyker. Any Avernite Beta has better than 50/50 odds of staying loyal! That's better than their expected pass rate!

The only named OOC Dragon's Nest World is Menagroth, their capital. You know, no one has every really gone into Rotbart's past as a lifelong Administratum Clerk. He was 90 when he became the Governor of Avernus. You could easily put his homeworld, Gallium III (civilised world), inside the Dragon's Nest. We could even visit our old home for some good old character development.

I didn't go for the spreadsheets on Durins paetron since I didn't want to peak behind the curtain but I'm getting tempted to now.

A Beast (the level before Trinity) is also 11.92 metres tall. That's about 39.10 feet or 2 metres taller than a large Camarasaurus.

Pretty sure you've got that wrong...gimmie a sec.

He's also got one commemorating that Ridcully didn't go transcendent :) Also one commemorating that he somehow got through the awakening unscathed.

Who here thinks that aside from dealing with Headcrusha himself, that we're handling the Orks pretty well?

There's about 100 T3 Ork Waaaghs running around, 2 T4 Waaghs, and there's a T4 Ork Waaagh that is building itself up to T5. A T5 Waaagh is called "The Tipping Point", and it is commanded by an Ork with the title of "Beast".

as bad as that is, it's not technically our problem. We are smll t3 and up are too big for us to offer meaningful assistance against, except maybe hero support. Either the galaxy gets destroyed by the orks or other, larger polities stop it. Though we could offer the elder our personal expertise as a commander as well as elites support. That's about the one thing the trust has that could lend direct support on that scale.

Not sure we're in a position to do anything about what you've got spoilered there. Maybe if we trade tech with the other human remnants.

Well the only thing that we can do to help is either let Headcrusha live and somehow get away, or sell them the Trust exterminous weapons.

How would letting him live help? Even assuming he could beat a near Beast that would just mean that he goes from being a level 1-2 warboss to a level 3 nearly 4 prophet/beast, even if he's dumb as shit.

And I'm pretty sure anyone important has those already.
