The near future is sure shaping up to be quite an interesting time:

Corax to Vulkan: "I admire your efforts my friend, but we should be more stealthy in our endeavors, lest others shall discover that we strive to build a new bastion for Mankind prematurely."
*suddenly Trust*
"Vulkan, buddy, we are so glad to finally meet you! We really admire your and your esteemed brothers' actions! Yes, your empire is destined for an age of untold glory no matter what, but despite that, we bring you our humble contributions in the form of some Dark Age tech, a few Avernite psykers and some Avernite wildlife based weaponry!"
Corax&Vulkan: "0_o"

Also, Durin about why Avernus chose spiders to be the designated assholes: "I don't remember."

Just imagine this response in character, if we somehow finally manage to contact the Planetmind and one of the Avernites will inevitably ask this question:
Avernite: "Why are all the spiders SUCH ASSHOLES?"
Planetmind: *psychic shrug* "Oh, I can't really remember."
Avernite: *eyetwitch*
Narrator: "And in that singular moment, the psychic resonance of all the spiders on Avernus was polished to such a sheer perfection, that what we now know as the Warp Archetype of Assholery has began to collectively manifest in their actions and appearances, and since then every time you get attacked by one on Avernus, their face's visage melts into what is now colloquially known only as a 'Trollface'."

Sure.

Perpetual - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Perpetual

There's audio dramas, but its big introduction was in the book Vulkan Lives.

The long and short of it is that barring the intervention of a God, Perpetuals are immortal.

And even then the god bit seems more than a bit hit or miss at least in Vulkan's case.

....I am missing SO much lore...........
do you know where I can get free CANON storys to read from?
Dragon_352 threw 5 3-faced dice. Reason: 3 Total: 11

....I love it...XD

@Durin

1. What level of alkahestrical knowledge do we need to make chimeras by combining that knowledge with the secrets of the Collegia Biologica?
2. If we did not use the free 50 credits offered to us, would that be seen in a positive light by Lulana?

1. Unknown, probably at least journeyman
2. That is not free, that is what you can get for simple things like some food metal ect

@Durin
1. I take it she will accept payment in creature bits from the regions we control.
2. Since the sirens have problems with rune trading to other peoples will they accept trading to the nyne.
3. Why are the sirens cautious about trading them to other peoples, but not us or us trading them off world?

We need to trade them with the Nynye. The Sirens are obviously vile, untrustworthy creatures attempting to subvert us and other races so they'll have additional souls to feast on, but other Peoples of Avernus would see through their deception and warn us of their perfidious nature. There is no other logical explanation.

Or they're concerned about us trading away their military secrets to other peoples who could use them against them... who unlike us have a higher chance of pulling it off?

I know, but things like this require serious consideration.

Even the jokes :)
But yeah, your explanation makes sense. As I understand it, non-Avernites like humans and sakarians aren't allowed to genocide Avernites, but Avernites are allowed to genocide other Avernites. Because of that there's basically no risk that their runes will be used by non-Avernites to genocide the Sirens, but the same doesn't go with other Avernites.

Ockham's razor man.

I dunno if people can genocide people, but they can certainly fight.

1. wiat for next turn
2. no
3. because they do not think giving you some runes makes you much more dangeorus, but do think that runes could make other speices into threats
1. Is a rough divination by Ridully enough? If he finds something troubling it will need additional investigation but for a general lay of the land?
2. Can "asking the eldar" be done via Contact Eldrath? I fear it may be for more serious matters than a delivery request and it might anger/disgruntl Eldrath.

About Nynye trade:
3. How long do portion keep? I ask because if they hold a reasonable time (around a year) it would be possible to trade them offworld (or give them to people offworld).
4. Providing a supply to the Life Guard means that each member/squad is issued some?
5. What would be the modifier to supply portions to the
5a. Regimental Champions/Psyker Attachés/Regimental level of the Hellguard?
5b. Battalion Level of Hellguard?
5c. Order of Healing (healing Portions)?
5d. Regimental level of Helltrooper?
6. How well do the Healing Portions work on very lethal (Deathhead Spider)/lethal if untreated/crippling/common poisons?
1. one divination will give yopu a very rough idea, then you will need 2 or 3 more to work out the safest way, then you will need to either send a massive fleet (half the Imperial Trust Fleet +, or have Ridcully in the fleet or accept a better then even chance that it does not reach the destination) traveling for 50 yrs though mostly hostile territory carrying shines is really, really hard
2. yes
3. a year or so, so you could trade them offworld
4. each squad
5a. *30
5b. *300
5c. not useful, a healing potion cant do anything a healing psyker can't
5d. *500
6. nothing/well/perfect/perfect

Cloudburst Spider
Omake: Cloudburst Spider

The cloudburst spider is either an evolution of the blink spider (or possibly a cousin of the blink spider that has begun to migrate into the settled regions of Avernus) that has recently been observed in the eastern portions of the Elysium region. Like the implantation spider, the cloudburst spider sacrifices some degree of teleportation ability and venom lethality for an alternate attack vector.
The back of the cloudburst spider is covered in a carpet of thousands of small, fragile venom sacks whose contents are kept under pressure. Whenever a cloudburst spider teleports, it first sends through a cluster of venom sacs that immediately rupture, creating an aerosolized cloud of contact poison at the spider's destination. Any trauma to the sacs, particularly damage springing from sharp thermal gradients*, similarly causes them to explode into poison clouds.

@Anyone who as submitted a wildlife omake
...
Anyone else feel kinda weird in taking pride in making life for the average Avernite just a little bit worse?

...why is it always a spider? *grumble*

Also, just noticed that Ridcully was one point away from transcendent control and one point away from Paragon Piety, this nat 100 pays or may not have resulted in something interesting.
Seriously, what the hell Ridcully?

Nah on the transcendent front. Durin confirmed he'd need to do something similar to the awakening to get another shot. Spying directly on an exalted, sneaking into Nurgle's swamp for example.

Given how old he is and the fact that currently he'll be around for another 2000 years at a minimum I think he'll get there.

Uh really? Than what would others stats need in order to Transcend?

Whatever is needed.

Bjorne became a transcendent of combat by single handily slaughtering his way through Abbadon's army and beating Abbadon himself half to death Areatha became a transcendent of control by beating an exalted greater daemon in single combat, potentially true deathing it.

My best guess is that it needs to be an incredible act that is going to go down in history one way or another. Tranth might need to invent something that advances us a tech level for instance.

The ones that break this are the Primarchs as usual, Angron was transcendent during the great crusade for instance despite not having his greater feats to his name yet. Phoenix warriors too.
