As I recall we still don't know that it exists.

Not exactly something the Blood Angels advertised. Pity.
Fair point. On the other hand, the blood dragons want closer relations. Freaky psychic stuff is about all they have left to offer, tech wise. Plus, if they have a good understanding on how much we know and can find out about how gods work they might legitimately ask.

You underestimate how much they're freaked out by the Sanguinor.

I mean it helps the sons of Sangunius, but Inquisitors have tried to get them censored for being helped by a warp entity.

If they share legends about it then we might be able to put it together, but otherwise I'm doubtful.

Then again I don't have as good a grasp of the BD's attitude as I'd like.

Plus the Grav-Shear tech's chances are pretty low. I'd like to get the low-hanging fruits out of the way first.
It's not that bad, with double-down and Ridcully's reroll it's got 68.6% chance of success and it's only 2 years, so it's not that bad if we have to try again.
In most explorator fleets it would be useful, but that's cause they're quite slow.
We will design an upgraded version once we finish reverse engineering, and since we have access to much more powerfull reactors, more efficient/powerfull engines and shields and armor materials with better strength-to-weight ratio than Imperium or Ad-Mech had the Helheim pattern Goliath will most likely be much faster and tougher than original. It would still take significant time to reverse engineer, redesign and then actually build it though, which makes not worth it at the moment IMO.
It's not really useful in colonisation, especially for Valinor subsector which is close enough (closer than Gehena subsector which we colonized without much problem at the same time as two other subsectors) that we won't have problem just using cargo vessels, and our advanced tech and efficient administration means that planers will soon have enough industry it make it most irrelevant anyway.

They don't make webs but they do use silk, for "safety lines" when jumping and for building shelters.
I was wrong, I was corrected, thank you.
Still, if the spiders are building their webs to protect themselves from the elements (and maybe to hide from predators) they'd use a much weaker silk than spiders who where relying on it to grapple with Avernus animals.
I doubt this silk is particularly unusual in its properties.

Its not really slow because of things like weight, its slow because of intentional design philosophy.

Its plenty tough without its delicate equipment, its designed to dive into stars and filter off plasma directly and its got very good drives ect. Its just rated for efficiency and safety over everything else, because if one of them goes boom, then its practically an exterminatus on its own.

A redesign may help (I'm sure I remember Durin saying it was upgraded save for the components unique to it), but who knows?

Still I was referring more to it helping to take off the logistical problems the guard is facing. Remember Durin mentioned that the Mar Sara campaign stretched the Trust's logistics to its limits supplying so many people and having one on site would have helped the strain a great deal.

We want to go slow and steady. Part of the reasoning that swayed supporters to our side was that we would have all the advantages and that we could starve the hive worlds. If we don't take the strategy that goes in line with that reasoning, we will appear to be dishonest.

Frankly its output is too low for it to make significant impact on major operation like Mar Sara campaign, even if we upgrade it. Also we have the forward operating bases Muspelheim made and forward operating Ramiles design available to be built for these purposes.

Apparently it would have helped so I got nothin.

Still we haven't heard much about those forward operating bases have we...

Huh.

Do we have non-warp spider omakes?

Can anyone help me out?
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATH

Has a quick existential crisis.

Back now.

Few suggestions for actions sorry for not doing so earlier

-Y4: Psychic Materials: Carniflower
-Y5: Psychic Materials: Carniflower
You've put this in twice, but if I may suggest two alternatives

1. Phase Tigers for their pelts
2. Blink spiders. Talk of their potential silk has got me curious?

Examining the metal from Jacob's sword would also work.

@Durin
1. Just to check if we do psycic materials blink spiders we won't receive instant black lash?
2. Do Blink spiders produce silk?
