Has anyone else noticed that the last few tags have all been Bloody?

I think we might have to deal with an unexpected Khornate incursion or something.

Could be Khornate forces messing with our rolls instead of Tzeentchian.

First, the Titans. Lulana is really good (aka paragon trait) at dispelling things such as the anti-artillery thing on the Titans. I would much, much rather have her and the Daemonology choirs rested so that they can do that when the Titans are well into the artillery window of Dis. Fucking up the ritual now just delays them and allows some extra attrition on the Titans until they do manage to get it up while exhausting our best counter to them, but if we wait until they've committed we can dispell it and wreck them.
Our psykers are our greatest strength and angyls are what they're going to use to deal with them. We HAVE to delay their summoning as much as possible.

I'd personally assign just one choir and let the other rest but Shard's vote is in the lead despite being objectively worse than my current plan, so unless you and two other people are in accord I won't change mine to rest one of the daemonology choirs.

There is a limit to how people you can snipe down per day.
And? It's not like we'd exactly have anything to lose from including Pellinore. Even if he only ends up gives a mere +10 from taking out high value targets, that would stay make him a worthy addition to the plan. We have nothing to lose. If it doesn't work out, we don't include him in future plans. Simple as that.

@Durin, can we hire the caver guilds to help us? If so, what kind of services can they provide us?

[X] Plan Anti-Titan Fatigue Moderation

-[X] Air Option 5: Support harassment- This will preserve the majority of your airforce while providing assistance to the forces that you have deployed in the field.
-[X] Harassment Option 3: Deploy half of your harassment forces close to landing sites
-[X] High for Round 1, Medium after.
-[X] Mine Option 3: Use Half of available mines- This will inflict significant damage and provide many opportunities to your harassers while saving half of the mines for later use.

-[X] Psykers
-[X] 2nd Telepathy Choir to defend against Abomination mind control on harassment forces
-[X] Lulana, 1st Daemonology Choir, Tamia, 1st Telepathy Choir, 1st and 2nd Telekinetic Choir, 1st Pyromancy Choir, 2nd Biomancy Choir, Ridcully and 1st Diviner Choir to rest
-[X] Xavier to join Phase Tigers in harassment forces
-[X] 2nd Daemonology Choir to stall Angyl summoning
-[X] 1st Biomancy Choir to enfeeble enemy counter-harassment forces
-[X] Trolls, 2nd Diviner Choir to increase likelihood of Titans getting caught in traps
-[X] 2nd Pyromancy Choir to hit trapped Titans with fire and otherwise increase damage dealt to them
-[X] Sirens to use offensive Telepathic powers to increase likelihood of ambushing forces (especially those targeting Titans) to be succcessful, escape
-[X] 1st Primaris Executioner Forces to join in on the Harassment Forces.
-[X] E.Warfare on Abomination Sensors.

About half of our psyker choirs will be resting, including most of our first-string ones, so that they'll be most effective when the actual siege starts. I'm only doing minimal delay of the Angyl summoning because I view the greatest threat by far as the Titans, and our best time to kill them is having a fresh Lulana to dispell their anti-artillery protection once they're solidly in macrocannon/artillery range.

One exception is Xavier—as a stealth specialist, I figure he can do some massive damage with the Phase Tigers, and a minus 15 from exhaustion right now isn't crippling on that front.

Sleep hath opened thine mind to more questions.

@Durin

1. Is Sir Pellinore suitable for hunting Assassins? (THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME!)
2. When Klovis says the Assassins aren't worthy of the name, does he mean that in terms of their skill?
3. What's Rotbart's assessment of using our Psyker Regiments (Infiltrator) in the harassment phase?
4. What major aces does Valinor believe we have?
5. What would placing Sir Pellinore on the harassment forces do?

I want to use Pellinore later, for The Most Dangerous Game (TM).

FYI someone needs to write that omake.

-[X] 1/4 of Psyker Kill Squads to join harassment forces targeting elites with an emphasis on human psykers if possible.
I have a few things to say.

1. Durin said that Biomancy in the harassment phase is not as useful as Biomancy in the phases to come. We should have our biomancers rest.
2. Overall, you're committing too many choirs to this phase. More need to rest.
3. Only the choirs and primaris execution forces need write-ins to be used. The other types of psykers like psyker regiments and attaches will be used automatically.
4. If you want psykers damaging Titans, you should probably ask Durin first whether Telekines would be better than Pyromancers at the job.
5. Don't forget about Grandmaster Aria, who is a Delta-level Daemonologist that gets +300 versus psykers and +200 to countering psychic powers.

@Durin

1. How effective are Mountain Dragons against Titans? Their armour is pretty good, they fly, and their breath is practically melta. I have it in my head that they can go in from above or behind, tank the AA thrown at them, and then burrow their way into the tank with their breath where they will cause lots of damage.
2. What's better for taking out Titans, telekinesis choirs or pyromancy choirs?

Question for after this battle if we win would we be able to start training more then just Northern Star knights so we could increase our anti-titan capabilities?

2. When Klovis says the Assassins aren't worthy of the name, does he mean that in terms of their skill?
As I recall he stated that they're about the level of our Last Hunters in equipment and skill, so yeah not even close to the Temple Assassins if that is the case.

Well we haven't seen how effective they are yet as we haven't used them. So we'll see, but if it is a problem then I'm sure we will.

Do you mean to say that a Temple Assassin would have already succeeded?
That or got close enough to have killed most the Saint Guard and injured Lin unless we got creative in where we put him.

There's a reason that deploying 7 in the same area was one of the biggest moves the Imperium could pull, with enough concentrated power that it would have a chance of killing Horus (no literally they sent an execution force after him and it had an existent chance of killing Horus).

yeah, if you had near 100 Temple Assassins deployed against you this would be a very different battle, and the main military advice would be don't let them land, no matter what

@Durin

A few questions, if you would answer them:

1) How many mines can/will we produce over the next month (As a % of our current stockpile)? Important for mine usage.
2) Will adding Sir Pellinore to the Harrassment Forces improve performance significantly?
a) Do the Abomination plans say any notable elites will be in their initial force, specifically in a position where Pellinore can shoot them?
3) Infiltrator Psyker Regiments automatically in the harassment force?
4) According to the Abomination plans, what are our notable aces to watch for?

1. 10%
2. No
3 yes
4. Astates, psykers, Lin, power armour hordes, jane

@Durin
1. I guess the story of her cutting up the Changling has been making the rounds in the warp? Cause that's the main way I can think of them knowing.

Hehehehe though the fact that we got the services of two paragons (Jacob and Lulana) before they turned up makes me very happy.

That reminds me

2. Do Jacob and Lulana get bonuses to fighting together?
3. If they do how significant is it?
4. Curiosity question, how significant/how much damage would we do to the abomination's efforts by beating this force? A whole chapter of astartes, several grand master sorcerors, a powerful general and a titan legion has to hurt.
