Which is good because she now equals or exceeds Britton in most of his old stats ( better Martial, piety, Admin and combat, Weaker Diplo and intrigue, equal learning)

@Durin
1. How big a boost to her agenda was this?
2. Were the changes ones to emphasise critical thinking?
1. pretty major
2. yes

It was a bit earlier then she planned to push these though but there was an oppetunity that was to good to pass up.

Huh, I wonder if this was anything to do with Surt, Rotbart did encourage Scott to speak to Surt after he probed Rotbart over the progressive Mechanicus faction, maybe she's taking a harder stance on reformation because she's found a way to gain unexpected support.

Trade Talks (Sirens) – Trade Phase Tigers and Tyrant Lizards for 'Banish' Rune.
@Durin
1 Is this trade acceptable?

So we have another campaign coming up. And what I suspect is an invitation for us to run it personally. Given all our bonuses I think we can forgo any more readiness actions, unless we specifically need filler to line up double downs on upgrades.

Diplomacy reorganise. Probably best to get it immediately, just to cut down on Durin's workload.

Next batch of Super Elites needs to be started now if we want them finished before the Big Threat arrives. It will slow down the actions to increase our anti-Alpha defences but in the long run I think it is worth it.

I think we should hold off on warding anything else until we know how the Banishment rune is used. No sense doing the same job more times than needed.

@Durin

1. Can we continue to outfit helltroopers with PA or will it collide with deployment?
2. If we take campangion fleet our admiral will come as well, right?
3. Is there an effect to doubling up the campangion action department and personal ones?

Historical Document: Sword styles of the Imperial Trust
…does Surt have a swordsmanship school? His No-Sell style sounds about right for her.
You know what, scratch that question. This calls for some worldbuilding.

Historical Document: Sword styles of the Imperial Trust

The worlds of the Imperial Trust have always boasted an impressive collection of combat styles, stretching back to when Asgard was first discovered by the Old Imperium. These styles have changed and evolved over the millennia as masters rise to prominence and conditions shift. This was never more true than during the second era of the Imperial Trust, when increasing population, heightening standards of training and proliferation of ideas allowed many new styles to bloom. Of these, three became pre-eminent, being developed to perfection by true paragons.

The first of these styles is known as Ferrum Judicii, or Judgment Blade in common parlance. Created by Jane 'The Inevitable' Oakheart to fight rogue psykers and the exceedingly lethal wildlife of Avernus this style focuses on speed and aggression, emphasising dodging and exploiting weaknesses. The principle concept being to kill the target before they can bring overwhelming power to bear.

The second and oldest style is Ferrum Imperium or Domination Blade. Passed down by the Thanes of Muspelheim it was Governor Surt who perfected and later popularised the Domination Blade. In polar opposition to the Judgment Blade this style is designed for extended combat, denying openings to the opponent while gradually beating them down. As many of the techniques involve pre-emptively countering attacks optimal use requires a high degree of familiarity with opponents' capabilities. This has resulted in the Domination Blade being regarded as a scholar's style.

The third style to be formalised during this period was the Ferrum Titan Obvium, the Titan Blade. Developed by Balgus of Asgard the aim of this style is to bring the user to, and allegedly beyond, the limits of the human body. Utilising massive weapons and an unbreakable will Balgus forged techniques to shatter the toughest defences and fell the largest foes. Almost as an unintended bonus this allows a skilled user to block and deflect otherwise irresistible attacks.

When we find a project for unlocking teleporters can we have it named 'Beam Me up, Scotty'?

I just realized that's a pun we can make with our Fabricator General being named Scott.

General Richards is continuing to focus on getting as many of the Helltroopers into power armour before the coming threat arrives, though she has also put forward a proposal to train Helguard Void Infantry. She strongly advises that you spend as much of your advanced and exotic material as possible on these projects.

We can afford to go all out on shiny new power amour after the last trade deal can't we? We have 3 power armour projects labeled urgent left to start then the void infantry which whilst not marked as urgent works with our fleet specialization so well it should be urgent.

Land what nows?

Never mind found them.
Looking into this I am even more confused. According to the following, we might have already commissioned all of our heavy cruisers. @Durin, could you provide an updated list of what we have in the graveyard and on order?
Trade with Vanaheim, Muspelheim and Svartalfheim

You made contact with several planets over the last half decades in order to set up trade deals. You offered to sell some more hulks to Vanaheim and in return wished for the repair of the Fólkvangr and possibly some ships repaired and returned. Given how much Vanaheim is currently in debt to Avernus selling anything to them is at the moment purely optional.

I fear we already have the look of elite.

Maybe in the next few centuries we will upgrade the trooper armour to the more advanced design you have suggested... or maybe that will be the next elite pattern I know not.

Omake time. Don't want to leave unprepared.

Rotbart's New Toy

"Booting. Systems coming online." The voice of the armor's machine spirit was feminine, though still obviously synthesized. Frederick Rotbart would take no chances. The Advanced Power Armor Type I: Elite STC had been something he was very interested in, which was why he had Archmagos Explorator Tranth complete it as quickly as possible. Fortunately the STC had been mostly complete, and with some extra funding it had been completed within six months, giving the Artisans who maintained his personal wargear and that of the Governor's Own to become familiar with it and create a warded set to replace his current Ignatus Power Armor. One month before the year's end, it had been completed.

He hoped that the forces of Chaos would not invade until sometime in the next year, so that he could get the Governor's Own similarly equipped, but a niggling feeling in his gut said that wasn't likely to happen. His luck wouldn't give him such a luxury. Remembering the last time he had fought a Chaos Lord and how it had nearly killed him, he wasn't about to take chances. While he had become a much tougher combatant than he was then, having better equipment was never amiss. He couldn't let himself die, after all. He hadn't even gotten married yet. He had no intention of surviving only by the skin of his teeth this time.

"All systems online. Initial boot checks in progress... systems check at 37%... 63%... 100%. All systems nominal. Suit has been registered to Frederick Rotbart, Planetary Governor of Avernus. Rank: Supreme military commander of Avernus military forces. Is this correct?"

"Yes."

"Registering user. Retinal imprinting in progress - please do not blink." Something in the suit's hud began a scan of his eyes. The armor was an advanced piece of technology, and the machine spirit had security measures installed to ensure unauthorized users couldn't make use of it. A good feature. It wouldn't do that have the damn thing stolen. "Retinal scan complete. User registered. Shall we begin calibration testing?"

"Yes, let's begin the testing."

The machine began giving him instructions on how to move. Step forward, step backward. Turn this way, turn that way. Raise your arms, throw a punch. Things like that. "Calibration test completed. Suit mobility is at 99.1%. Calibrating... 12%... 44%... 78%... 100%. Calibration complete. Sensor systems test is recommended. Shall we begin?"

"Yes, begin testing."

"Environmental scan engaged. Lifeform scan engaged. Movement scan engaged."

Frederick looked at the HUD as the machine spirit rattled off all the sensor scans it was performing. It provided a wealth of information, far more than his own internal auspex implants provided. External temperature, radiation readings, how many people were nearby and even the direction they were facing. And to think it was inferior to that of the Recon variant, not to mention what it might show with the Command module.

"Scans nominal. Threat assessment test is recommended. Begin testing?"

"Yes. Guards, if a few of you wouldn't mind pointing a few different weapons at me?"

Reluctantly they agreed, and as he looked at each of them the suit read off assessments of their weapons and armor.

"Target 1, designated. Hand held las weapon, flak vest. Threat assessment - negligible. Target 2, designated. Impaler carbine, carapace armor. Threat assessment - low to medium. Target 3, designated. Plasma based weaponry, powered armor type Ignatus. Threat assessment - significant. Test complete. Threat assessment systems nominal. Modular backpack systems test is recommended. Begin testing? Current modules currently installed - Command, Shield, Camouflage."

"Yes, begin testing."

"Beginning tests. Loading Command module. One minute until loaded."

While he waited, he turned towards the mirror placed in the room. He wanted to see how the suit looked with him in it. It was certainly unlike any Power Armor he'd seen before. From what he'd been able to piece together from talking with Forge Master Britton and Saint Lin's revelations, the Power Armor used by the Imperium had been something based on what had been worn by tech-barbarians who had roamed Terra before the Emperor had united the planet. Slowly over the millennia there had been small innovations here and there. The armors he'd seen looked nothing like the one he now wore.

The armor was referred to as being an advanced type, something that even those who had lived at the height of humanity's scientific achievement considered to be cutting edge. He believed it. The suit of armor looked advanced. It looked powerful. There was no helmet, really, more of a dome over his head. This was fine by him, as he could wear his crown within the suit. It had only been his black crystal necklace that had allowed him to combat the Chaos Lord at all, and knowing that each piece he possessed enhanced his abilities he was comforted that he could take all of them. The transparent face plate was disconcerting, but he had been assured that the material it was made of was as sturdy as the rest of the armor, if not more so.

He hadn't had it painted or accented yet, and he wasn't sure he would. It was damn imposing even without the usual embellishments most users of power armor included. He rather liked the utilitarian feel, and the silvery finish was quite striking.

"Command module loaded." The HUD updated. Rotbart's eyes widened. The amount of information the suit's sensors had given him before wasn't a wealth, it was a pittance. This... the range... it was so much. He grinned ear to ear. Commanding battles would be so easy with this. He fiddled around with the commands, getting used to it. After a while the suit recommended going through testing the other modules. He wanted to continue playing with his new toy, but he supposed he'd have time enough for that later. The time passed, and just as the third module's test finished word had come from Midgard. Chaos had arrived, just as predicted.

"User perspiration has increased noticeably. Shall I adjust the internal temperature?"

It had climate control, too? "Yes, please do."
And since many of the designs and ideas @Durin has admited to be based on Starcraft I think we have a general idea.

That being said though those work...

where did you find them?

@Angelform a Vanir might be an idea as they too have a tradition of such things.
There are a whole bunch of possibilities. Sword maidens of Vanaheim. Serene (totally not Blank, honest) blade masters of Niflheim. Duellists of Byzantium. Legion style of Midgard. Our own dual wielders.

I picked Asgard because they really haven't gotten much attention despite being, theoretically, the most martial focused world. Figure a Paragon swordsman who slugs it out with super heavy walkers on foot would suit them well.
