In this continuity, he was either resurrected later on (near or slightly past the Emperor's death) or not at all.

That said, I wonder what the various "immortal" characters are up to, like the Necron Phaerons, some Eldar Farseers, or the likes of Belisarius Cawl.

I think our greatest path to ruin would be arrogance. Given our ludicrously advanced navy, and ridiculously powerful army, we may come to believe ourselves the largest fish in the pond. The truth of the matter is that we simply aren't and won't be, especially not if the likes of the Krork and the C'tan rise up.

This makes me wonder more: what kind of stats would Abaddon the Despoiler have? I bet he's basically equivalent to a Primarch by now.

Wait, maybe the absurdly high stakes plot which is being strung up by Tzeentch will call forth Surt into helping us, perhaps even revealing his status as some fifty-thousand year old man who happened to be in a working relationship with Dr. Adam, and a friend of good man Ollie Persson.

Investigation Woes

The investigation trying to figure out exactly how the chaotic psykers affiliated with the Changer of Ways managed to access the Avernus Navy's flagship was still in its beginning stages, but Jane Oakheart could tell that it was going to be a, shall we say, interesting one. Dealing with security breaches generally much easier in hindsight than going forward, but the latest was somewhat complicated by the fact that they were yet to figure out where, exactly, their countermeasures had failed.

In fact, at this point how said psykers had even gained access to the orbitals was under debate, let alone the highest-security Naval section. It was rather telling that the unofficial brainstorming board included:

  • Telekinetically-assisted flight
  • Some sort of undetectable Warp portal bullshit
  • Hitched a ride with some spiders
  • Hitched a ride with some other wildlife
  • Found and repaired one of the experimental stealth shuttles that had crashed in the wilds

It was even more telling that she was currently considering asking the sensor specialists and members of the Astra Telepathica if the telekinetic flight thing was at all feasible and if it would fly under their local sensor resolution. Even if this batch of cultists hadn't been crazy enough to try it, she was willing to bet that some would.

Still, at least there was a silver lining to all the uncertainty surrounding exactly how such an audacious plot almost managed to succeed under their collective noses. Reviewing the countermeasures against such attempts working in their entirety for potential problems or unforeseen failure points would hopefully result in them finding other security issues than just the particular ones involved in the current breach. True, it was entirely possible to run a normal security review without a breach, but the absolute knowledge that countermeasures had failed served wonderfully as a way to focus people on potential weaknesses rather than on their strengths.

A chain might break at its weakest link, but Jane was not content to simply try to replace or reforge the weakest link stronger and call it a day. She would not be satisfied until she and her fellows had examined and tested every link in the chain and found them to be strong enough.

On handy right now.

I would like to ask if someone post the collected links to the different plans. It seems to me that voting is slow this turn.

Syr is blonde IIRC, so the second is a better fit.

I only guessed that. That picture is a anime'esque drawing of Putins chief prosecutor during the Ukraine annexation thing. Her uniform is pretty nice.

Another idea.

Blonde and has a very aristocratic feel to her. Her shoulder shows off a Generals brass. Thoughts?

Last one is this. I think this is my favorite because she's blonde and has rank being shown. Plus I love the Ocelot uniform :D

Find more rituals that are tainted like? Some of noble or knight houses? There is no way that everything reasonable to do was already done to those people they usually have Darwin winners in their numbers.
Lin's already done the rituals and we can't purge the nobility on a constant basis as much as we'd want to.

Inquisition infiltration is the best we can do there.

Give priest and relevant people access to even more material to fight chaos. Like see if possible to use chair to raise the faith (will and education kind of work together but this is warhammer so I don't have night hopes). Or gather the priest, the scientists, the inquisition and the leaders and see what they have that raise faith faster and in a safe way
We already spare no expense in the fight against chaos and making a conference isn't likely to get much (also we don't have scientists)

Unfortunately I do not believe we have a means of making new chair programs and even if they did they do not indoctrinate people they implant knowledge. Great maybe for teaching the basics of priesthood, not great for inspiring the actual faith.

created or mod standard parameters to warp and see if is possible to raise the shields (I only have the cell right now) to avoid more contamination with the imaterium.
There is already "standard" parameters to warp, which are away from planets (gravity) preferably without fighting in the area.

As for preventing imaterium corruption we already do that with the Geller Field, its the only reason we can travel the warp as it imposes an area of real space around the ship. It can be over whelmed, but its hard. And no we cannot just improve it, it is incredibly complicated.

See if the destructive or harmonic frequency can be use to created (a very weak) place where demons don't want to go. Really that most have sighs to them avoid the other demons that could eat them so would like copy a poison snake i think
I'm not sure we could do that without either needing to constantly maintain it or it turning into its own entity.

See if possible to use new choir or to pass our information to the rest of the planets to help the people that guide the ships(again cellphone) since that is a major source of shenanigans. And I 100% sure that if i need to go literally to hell to guide my people and singing help me even with 0,1% i would sing for my entire life.

The Navigators allow ships to travel long distances thanks to being able to "navigate" (heh) the warp as they can see its currents, how its moving in its insanity, at the moment our choirs can do literally nothing to help them, we can't see things as they can, nor could we pick up how the warp was moving at that distance.

Ask ridiculous or other people to find predators of immaterium... This is kind of horrible/ good idea because how we will use these creatures? Or find some kind of plant that eat soul and demons (again badddd idea).
Extremly bad idea, also asking for a predator in the immaterium would more than likely just end up showing the place as a whole, lot of predators in there

Hell gather the guide, the inquisition and rest with ridiculous to see what horrors our sector in the imaterium have because lets face it there most be something there wanting to kill us all.
Its been over 1000 years their info is probably more than out of date/been triggered in the war between the orks and nids/is on the other side of the sector and too far away for us to reach.

The general rule for Warp stuff is that if you've got an innovative idea that will completely change the paradigm of dealing with Warp-based threats, it's a horrible idea that will at best end up with everyone dead.

Gaming the system doesn't work. The system is somewhat aware and will twist any attempt to do so into something horrible.

Incremental gains, conservative methodologies, and fully understanding what you're thinking about (and getting a few sensible people to double check your work) BEFORE trying it are the name of the game here as far as real progress goes. By necessity we're fighting a defensive action here, and it's one we're intimately familiar with—it's fairly safe to say that any common sense idea is either already being done, doesn't work, or isn't cost effective. Anything that isn't a common sense idea has probably also been tried, and for the most part the results could be summarized as 'suddenly daemons'. As things like our psychic research progress we'll probably gain access to some things that will become common sense ideas with our new knowledge/understanding. And we'll probably try them then. But history in the 40k verse is littered with examples of why you don't want to try and extrapolate too far.

[X] Plan Reynal T89

On the basis that this plan builds two forge-cathedrals. We spend more AM, both in absolute numbers and proportionately, than we do EM.

@Durin

1. Since a two of the plans just aren't doing it, are there any penalties to doing Ridcully: How did it happen? next turn as opposed to this turn?
2. Jane's version of the action has a bonus of "+20 to The Search Success Chance" - where is the action for The Search? Or is it meant to refer to something else?

Hmm, there aren't any Beta Battle Psykers. Is this deliberate?
Like there won't be any possibility of Ophelia becoming a Battle, only Primaris and Sanctionite?

Something something slim margine.

At their power and stability them having the stability to become a battle psyker, but not to become a Primaris is probably very low.

Doesn't help we tutor them as well.

Actually, can you imagine if Ophelia rolled Neo-Astropath or Inquisition?

What level are Inquisition Psykers compared to Telepathica Psykers, anyhow? Superior, I imagine?
