I believe we asked regarding this, and Garkill's flaghulk appears to be made of mostly newer ships, so the chances of any archeotech being found is pretty slim.
Hm. On the other hand, hulk grow like a snowball. Exterior level of a hulk is bound to have newer ships than its deep bowels, so maybe that's the case?

Even if we could find Xeno/Archeotech it probably isn't worth it, given that we have Avernus DAOT and Svartalfheim, plus Muspelheim. And also Niflheim, actually.

Our research backlogs are really quite horrifically long, even when limited to things the Mechanicus is OK with.

It's not a question of if it is possible for something good to be a part of the hulk, it's a question of how probable it is. And given that our baseline tech level is really high, reducing the number of 'good' items that would actually be upgrades, and that Garkill's hulks are mostly made of more modern ships, reducing the percentage of the hulk that might have 'good' items, the expected number of upgrades in the hulk is quite low.

That's not to say it wouldn't be worth exploring at all—tech discoveries are very useful, and dedicating the resources to it would also help keep the admech appeased. It's just that we should look at the potential loot as being a bonus prize rather than a main objective when it comes to deciding what we do about an attack.

Considering he's run the first two times he fought us, both times without fighting himself and the latter without even touching down on the planet, he may have to if he doesn't want a mutiny.
As we've seen through Omakes he's very good at dealing with those.

By killing everyone before they get the idea in their heads.

In any case there's been hundreds of years between each of them with loads of victories for him (presumably) so unless he's teamed up with one of the other two warbosses I doubt it.

@Durin, I have some questions:
1) Is it possible that eventually we will research soul fusion, to create analogue of Phoenix Lords and Emperor?
2) Does Emperor accept worship from Xenos? I'm pretty sure that it was asked, but I can't find the answer. Only that aliens can be allowed to worship their gods.
a) If so, what would be the political consequences if we convert some aliens to Truth?
3) How do Aesir plan to use Knights Forlorn?
a) Is it possible to use them not only in ship-to-ship boarding, but launch in torpedoes?
b) If there is no such torpedoes yet, can we design them?

I don't think that's how the phoenix lords work. The original personality of say Asuraman is still in control, but the other bits are still there contributing.

In any case I think this falls under manipulating the souls of humanity bad... but I could be wrong.

Even then I think this is waaaay over our heads to the point that I don't think either of those examples were intentional, the Emps being a bunch of shamans throwing their souls together to see what would happen and the second being due to eldar res/soul stone BS.

That being said I do wonder what has happened with the Phoenix Lords now that Yneed is up and about.

2) Does Emperor accept worship from Xenos? I'm pretty sure that it was asked, but I can't find the answer. Only that aliens can be allowed to worship their gods.
It was asked, and while I won't look for the answer I believe it was no.

1. unknown
2.no
3. from boarding craft
a. no
b. yes but not a good idea, having to fit the Knight makes them a decent sized target and you can't use teleporters to extract them so it would be a one way trip

@Durin
1. What do we know about the Old Ones (I think at some point you said due to the Necons bits and pieces have been revealed)
2. The Phoenix Lords (while the table top doesn't represent it they're supposed to be the Eldar's equivalent to Primarchs and were certainly that level by the Age of Dusk, so any info we have on them would probably be good to make sure we don't accidentally piss them off)
3. Have the Vanagirian guard had any encounters with the Eldar since Yneed did its thing?
4. If so what have they been up too? Beil Tan's been defending Maiden Worlds I think one went into the Web way to kick the DE out and the third group went on a mission to release old allies of the eldar... who ever those are.
5. If so have they been able to comment on their current attitude
6. And battle tactics?

1. that they were an ancient race of aliens that fought the Necrons and either uplifted or created both the Eldar and the Orks
2. that thy are deadly Eldar that can come back after dying ad are effectively the Eldar Primarchs
3. only Dark Eldar

And if theories hold up we're going to learn a wee bit more than that.

Oh goody :(:cool:.

mmm.

I can't decide if this luck, a good thing or a bad thing.

@Durin
1. With Ridcully's look, was he able to tell if the Eldar have lost a good chunk of their precognitive potential? They did loose the entirety of their best seers in Ulthane's council and Altioc's people sacrificing themselves?
2. Pure lore question, but in this verse did you decided to kill off Eldrad in the Black Stone fortresses?
3. On that note do we know those (TBSF) exist
4. Does the Trust have a whole acually have a plan for what happens if we encounter non Dark Eldar eldar? I guess Vanahiem will go for the burning option, but what's the rest of the Trust's view... wait no Sound out sound out.
5. We do know the difference between Dark Eldar (creepy leather fetish sweat goblins) Craft world eldar (stuck up jackasses) and Exodites (stuck up dirt farmers.)

5. yes

@Durin: would it be possible to do Re-Arm: Heavy for both the Psyker Hunters and the Witch Hunters, as means of keeping control of the Chaos Psykers? It might be a tad overkill for the Psyker Hunters but it could be a good bonus for the Witch Hunters.

This was when I realized we actually has 1.5 centuries of relative peace in the Imperial Trust, broken only with a few conflicts.

The traders are going to be pretty upset about the end of the Pax Storma.

What do you think our hideously enormous and advanced fleet is for? If we continue to develop at close to the rate we are now, we'll soon have so many ships that it'll take more than a minor power to deal with us. Only worry is, that same hideously advanced fleet could attract a major power, though in obscurus this becomes less of a risk.

if we ever restore the whole graveyard then even a power on the level of the 40k imperium will struggle to mass nearly enough ships to attack us. Not to mention any particularly hideous invasion will suffer sunbeetle fire, and have to fight deep ones and island turtles.

Our ships are roughly only double the strength of the Imperium and fully repaired the Gravyard only has as many ships as a segmentum fleet (discounter the super capitals)

Like the Darkmech which are explicitly something we're probably going to deal with.

Yeah being in Obscurus doesn't mean we won't piss off some big fish.
