@Durin

1. In between banishing a daemon and permanently killing them, is there a way to permanently banish a daemon back into the Warp? Would it be easier than permanently killing them?
2. The assault cannon and the lascannon were developed over a period of time rather than being an STC pattern or reverse-engineered from recovered technology. Is it possible for us to do the same over several decades and develop an Impaler anti-tank rifle?
3. You may want to add something about Scott's Young trait to the FAQ.
4. Weapons like bolters and power axes get more powerful over time, eventually becoming relics. Does this apply to technologically simple weapons like swords as well?
5. With the help of Saint Lin, can powerful Chaos weapons be reforged and purified while remaining powerful like the Axe of Morkai? Would it be possible without his help?
6. Khorne and Slaanesh are mutual main rivals while Tzeentch and Nurgle are themselves main rivals of each other. They all disliked the Emperor more than their main rival. Do they all dislike the Abomination more than their main rival? Do they dislike it more than the Emperor?
1. no
2. you could try
3. I might
4. yes
5. you do not know
6. they dislike the Abomination less then their main rival but more then the other Chaos Gods, also less then the Emperor

@Durin

1. How old was the Legio Durus (or what ever it was called)
2. Did it have an emperor titan
3. If so to where was it deployed (probably Atlas, but I can hope it was Danaan)
4. Will we have the opportunity to interact with Archmagos Paladis due to his position on the Security council. Not to convince him, just to get his opinions on stuff.
5. Have we already introduced the hoarding protocols... cause we kinda need to do that.
6. I take it the admech have some loop hole that Scott is exploiting to make things like the advanced defense station. If so how much can she stretch it?
7. Do these designs help her position at all.
8. Has there been any test (by that I mean observations during the incursion and its aftermath) on Avernus's apparently ability to purify chaotic influence
9. Can we tell if the Abomination has any issues integrating new tech into its armies?
10. How close are we to the Avernite admech population surpassing the Vanir.
11. This one I'm sorry to bug you with, but the option to investigate... Salem I think, was forgotten and given how many betas come from there I want to get it shut down before one takes out a city.
12. Does the rest of the Trust still not think Avernus (animals and stuff) are not seemingly immune to chaos?
13. How is Granalf capable of creating relics? Does he put part of his soul into what he makes?
14. Can we expect an increase in cult numbers again?

Wow... that got away from me.

13. no it is a feat of skill, time and effort
14. unknown

@Enjou

Few comments about your plan.

I agree with what you're doing on the Munitorum and Void fronts. For Admin, I've got to say I'd prefer expanding the mines on the other forge city. Once the current expansion is done in a few years we'll have everything we need domestically, but it seems like the Trust as a whole would really benefit from a larger metal source, and it would do great things to our trade balance. Beyond that, I don't really see a pressing reason to redound okefenokee.

Diplo is just fine, and I do not want to even think about trading with the Sirens—between the Chaos-worries (even if OOC we know it's fine) and the Xeno worries it just wouldn't be worth it even if we had the spare Telepathica actions we would need to figure it out and implement it. We have plenty of promising human-developed avenues of psychic and warding research, let's not borrow trouble.

For Arbites, I'd really like more than one psyker hunt action. We've just done a fairly radical change-up in how we deal with chaotic psykers with our Telepathica actions, so I feel like Jane would benefit from a bit more time figuring things out there in addition to knocking the rust off.

I agree with your Mechanicus actions, but I'd really prefer it if we could use our DDs on the Biologis actions. I don't think Ridcully needs the help with scrying, and good successes there would be nice. I'm fully behind the Mega-Vanquisher action, and would support an expedite on it if Durin says it's possible—waiting a few years on the next construction action means we'd probably have the metal income to expedite it, so the blow to the Mechanicus expansion rate is less than it seems.

For the Ministorum actions, we could double up on the Curse examination—it has no resource cost so we can't do a DD action, but the 'aritificial' DD is still possible. Also, I don't see much point in starting the missionary training, as we're probably decades away from a friendly human contact that's willing to take them—I'd rather throw an action at Keeping the Faith in Vanaheim, both to get them to 10 morale and in the hopes that we can shift their culture a little bit further from the old Imperium.

For the Telepathica actions, I'd like it if we could shunt at least one of the mentoring actions onto Ridcully, as his control makes them much more likely to succeed. Also, do we really need two actions of his looking for attacks? It's base 50% and you know how many bonuses he has stacked up on that.

Also, for Tamia I'd really like to have her get started on training up a mass of songweavers—the flavor text suggests that as of now the action would be worthwhile, and having a base of them trained would make the many actions we have with the potential for significant improvements to Songweaving that much more valuable. Getting the Force weapons done first so that we don't risk losing information I get, but right now I think we've already got enough psykers prepared/preparing for an active combat role, and I want to make sure that we continue to spend some actions on growth, especially considering the fact that we don't have any specific threats in the short term.

We wouldn't actually be doing any trading with the proposed actions - just asking them what animals they might be interested in, and doing a sound out about what we want to trade for, why, and what precautions we are thinking of taking to the other worlds. The actual trade could come later based upon what responses we get, if things look feasible.

One of the precautions we will likely need to mention is having Saint Lin check the techniques traded for Chaos corruption, and we can't wait too long on that because he will die otherwise and then we lose the chance to have someone who can check for it better than anyone else do it.

Does that answer your concerns?

IIRC it was asked if we could double up on Ridcully's actions and we could not, but @Durin might be willing to confirm again on that.

It answers some of my concerns, but my biggest issue is that it's an unnecessary headache at this point rather than a major risk. Also, I prefer the concept of developing and improving our understanding of human-derived wards over using something that we don't even have the tools to understand. The worries of a chaos long-con will probably persist unabated until we understand and can explain how the Siren wards work on our own anyway.

As for the doubling up thing, my impression was that it was impossible with Ridcully because only one of the actions was 'his', and that the other belonged to a heroic psyker without his specializations. To me this way of doubling up represents an increase in time devoted to it over the period they're working, and you can't spend more than 100% of your time.

Either way, it's worth asking Durin about, especially considering the Mega-Vanquisher issue too.

@Durin

  1. Would it be possible to expedite the Mega-Vanquisher Macharius Regiments action in the admech, or is it more raising a regiment than constructing the tanks?
  2. For the Examine Curse actions, could we effectively double down on it by spending the action on it in both slots?
  3. Does the lack of a warning from Ridcully imply that we (as in Avernus) are unlikely to be attacked in the next five years or so?
  4. If yes, is it also the case for the Trust as a whole?

@Durin

1. How many years would Jane like to do Psyker Hunting so her skills don't deteriorate?
2. Would there be any negative reactions if we bought Siren sorcery but had Lin check the sorcery for Chaos taint?

@Durin:
1) Would it be economical to produce some military hardware using the Super-Hard Organics? For lower priority users, like militias and some PDF.
2) Would Scott be up for getting some manufacturing centers (such as those on Alfheim) to switch to SHO items as a method of saving on metal usage?

1. no, it is too expensive to make
2. no

Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan tells you that while it will be impossible to conduct any foreign diplomacy until the High Council gives permission this is not relivent given what can be seen of the current conditions, with the Imperial Trust surrounded on three sides by Orks and the rest of the are being empty.
relevant.
Do you mean: "and the rest of them being empty"?

1. In between banishing a daemon and permanently killing them, is there a way to permanently banish a daemon back into the Warp? Would it be easier than permanently killing them?
1) Binding daemons into inanimate objects is functionally quite similar. How does it compare in difficulty to permakilling daemons?
2) How heretical is it?

1. a bit easier, though there is always a chance of escape
2. if you are not planning to use the bound daemons for anything not very

Still can't find anything to support this actually being an issue. We have been jacking psyker powers off the locals, both animal and people, pretty much since we have had Telepathica actions. Thus far noone has said a word against it.

@Durin
1 Is there any chance of the other Trust worlds making a fuss over us getting psyker knowledge from the Sirens?
2 Same question for the Inquisition and Ministorum.

Bind them to lumps of adamant and fire them from a nova cannon out of the galaxy.
Nah, bind them to dinner plates and ship them to the Siren for… um… storage. Yes, let's go with storage. :D

The nine worlds are rightly paranoid of this being a chaos long term plan.

Given that a single changer of ways manipulated an entire sector for over 3000 years to ensure its return including the creation of an Imperial Saint to do so, they're paranoia is justified.
