We should do both in the long run, but IMO Astropaths should come first because we don't know how long we'll have until they start dying off.

My thought is that this information on rituals to alter psyker frequencies is very likely to be pertinent to the Astorpath action, so I'd like to get this information before we take action to improve the astropaths.

I'm sure when Durin offers us the chance at remarrying most of the players are going to take it. These discussions are going to be a moot point several months down the line since people tend to forget this stuff and we are still dealing with the aftermath of this turn.

Unless our potential partners are unsuitable, but I doubt that is going to happen.

Wait shouldn't the ones we have last us for around 700 years thanks to the new Juvnat?

1. Less, given they are older than that.
2. Astropaths are notoriously fragile, and they are particularly vulnerable to psychic events killing them off.

IMO it would work the other way around as well. Understanding the Astropaths, the ritual they went through to become Astropaths, and their psychic frequencies will further Ridcully's understanding of how rituals affect psychic frequency and make him better able to design rituals to improve Neo-Astropaths.

My paternal grandfather was married no less than three times. First time to the woman who was my paternal grandmother, though they eventually divorced. He remarried, but his new wife died, roughly 30 years later. Then, now in his late 80s, he married again to a woman around half his age.

Not exactly the best rolemodel, but he meant well, even if he came across as an oblivious, overbearing know-it-all. v.v He's passed on himself now.

We'll vote for marriage as soon as it becomes possible. I've never seen a quest where that option was delayed for more than one turn. No argument will stop people from getting the next Wife. Unless Dynasty quests got an entirely new voter base since last week.

This year you can't bring yourself to think further back on the year then last week, when while eating dinner with you and Syr your beloved wife Freya was bitten by a Death's Head Blink Spider, and died after ten agonising seconds. The sheer terror and helplessness that you felt watching your wife die in front of your daughter like that was unbearable, and to make matters worse it keeps on replaying whenever you lose focus for even a second. It is only thanks to your friends and family that you are able to function as a person right now, much as you occasionally hate Jane and Henry for dragging you out of your room.
... FUCK!!!!
On the bright side we can finally marry Aesir waifu.
Too fucking soon!

Almost forgot that Avernus is a Death World for a reason, I mean yeah we lose about a million troops a year to wildlife but those easily just become statistics.

...This was not what I wanted to wake up to today. Fucking hell, and I was tinkering with her and the Well interacting. Ugh.

We probably shouldn't rename the Well after Freya. It'd probably just be better to name one of the other Battleships after her. The Mechanicus is probably gonna came the Well as an Arc Mechanicus at some point and I'm not sure they would want it named after Freya.

We might want to use this time to reach out to other Major Players in the Trust. I was thinking Surt, Aelfric, and maybe Sigurd might be worth talking to. Surt might have some historical texts about coping grief and the like, Aelfric has been around the Galaxy a couple times and might have some words of wisdom, and Sigurd could probably give us some information about mourning practices on Asgard (since we are nominally part of their Noble class). If nothing else we might get some brownie points for looking to them in a time of grief.

We also need to tell Freya's brother the bad news.

Once I would have agreed, but now we have seven super capitals and I think the admech will probably take the 20Km one and maybe another, the rest we can keep, and the fact that the admech is changing and we are friends of the fabricator General.

Surt is a bad idea, dealing with greif can never be encapsualted with words on a page

The other two are good though, but I think the Aesirs may involve copious amounts of booze.

We are going to need some booze.

I dunno that actually sounds kind of amusing.

I was gonna list him and his uncle, but they are currently behind a Warp storm soooo....
Honestly I'm concerned for the blowback from all this.

Not gonna lie I'm really just looking to get closer to Surt. We know he's up to something and I can't see it hurting anything to try and get some help from him. Maybe if we open up to him about something close to us he'll do the same to us.

The Well of Urd is no more from this day forward it shall be called Freya's Dream.

No. We are not renaming the Well of Urd. We'll name one of the other Super Battleships after her, but The Well of Urd is already named and I don't think the AdMech would take well to us changing it's name when it's already so well known.

Freya canonically wanted one of the super battleships to be renamed the Lady Freya, and that's what will happen.
