[X] [Monastery] The House of the Stalwart Maiden. An order that emphasizes teaching others and caring for the poor.

OTOH, rushing to Viserys after Aemma's Death worked extremely well for us... and honestly this seems the kind of situation in which talking with Orwylle immediately would have a greater effect on him...
I'm not so sure. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that our biggest concerns with Orwyle are:

1) He thinks Rhaenyra killed the grand maester knowingly.
2) He thinks Rhaenyra might kill him if he screws up or if she thinks he screws up, and that Rhaenyra is willing to kill several other innocent people to get at her target.

A chance to become more secure in his position, and for the emotions to become less raw, might actually make it easier for him to accommodate to the idea that neither of these things is true. Though he's still going to have trust issues with Rhaenyra basically forever, and that's kind of inevitable because we did vote to break our word to him.

The entire reason they were brought up was because none of them have a chastity vow.

Also I'm not really focused on making her a better tutor if she goes to the Order of the Crone. We see how helpful things like learning Coin and Law have been for Rhaenyra.

I want that for Alicent too. We've already benefitted from Alicent's diligent mind by getting extra AP.

If we do end up giving her a role like leading a Sept in KL, or hiring and running our household staff, or just being an unofficial Hand, the Crone teaches the advanced skills necessary for her to excel.

She might even pick up some Maester skills, which means we'd be getting a two for one! Nun Alicent and NURSE Alicent, it's just too peak to pass up.

Well it was on the Stalwart option but not the others so I thought it might have been different. Again nothing is stop Alicent from learning those skill even if she goes to a monastery that isn't the Crones. As someone else pointed out she's a Hightower if she wants to learn something she can. Also part of helping the poor is helping with the sick or injured so she won't just get theory but actual experience in it. Alicent also isn't going to be our only adviser nor should she. There are areas that other people will have more knowledge and experience in Rhaenyra can't expect Alicent to know everything that's too much for one person.

On top of all of that Alicent will benefit in have a broader view of the world and people. Not just what Otto or her position as a noble have shown her so far. She'll gain a lot more confidence and self assurance in herself and her skills. The image of a poius septa that helps everyone also would aid Rhaenyra imagine.

There is also the fact that the current approach we've discussed is snitching on daemon. the infamous former heir with a penchant for violence and the more horrifying dragon is aware of the situation and is the one who actually poisoned the Mellos and the others isn't really and improvement of his situation. It may well be a downgrade, and startle Orwyle fujjjuú further í I'll he's more afraid of Daemon than he was of Rhaenyra, that could worsen odds of a successful delivery.

Some healing is something she could learn in both the Crone and Stalwart orders, though the latter is more the field medic kind of stuff than what a novice maester would be taught.

Maybe but Daemon does have the habit of getting himself kicked out of Kingslanding more often then not. Orwyle has also shown himself to be capable of helping Vizzy so he isn't on Daemon radar. Also most people are afraid or dislike Daemon so I doubt there be much chance for Orwyle there.

Perhaps an offer watch Orwyle's back from Daemon and his craziness. Rhaenyra is growing both in political power and fighting ability not to mention height.

True but field medics are nothing to sniff at, they can do alot with minimal equipment and supplies. They are the ones that keep you alive long enough to get to a clean and secure place for further medical attention.

Umm. Offering to watch his back and leaving for half a year seems, counter intuitive.

if ppl are rly worried about rushing off to talk to Orwyle this turn, i'll make a few other versions of the We're Really In It Now plan and replace that conversation.

I really don't think speaking to Orwyle rn is the move, especially since he doesn't hate us and fear could be useful.

Oh hey so concerning Otto, he has just lost Master Mellos as an ally, leaving him in a weaker position in King's Landing, and if we inform him about Daemons murder of Mellos, ideally he realizes that Daemon isn't above assassination, hates Otto, and we can stand up to Daemon and have already been an ally to his house.

Of course if we consider all possibilities, he might just be pissed we inadvertently (For Rhaenyra at least, not us questers) got his man killed.

We manifestly cannot, unless it be on the dueling field. He just ran circles around us.
Did he really? I mean sure no one expected poison and the five other Maesters, but we knew and expected most of the pros and cons.

Daemon pretty much gave the voices in Rhaenyras head exactly what they wanted.

And even in character based off the conversation Rhaenyra actually had with Daemon, she knows his insecurities, and insecurities are like 90% of who Daemon Targaryen is.

Our stress is at 60/100 and if we're not fixing it this turn we need to fix it soon, start actively winding it down. Because frankly, keeping persistently high Stress is probably one of the ways to end up in the Targaryen Madness place where Rhaenyra starts cracking up. It also makes us much more vulnerable to getting catapulted into that place abruptly if something big and bad happens without our control.

Approval voting the Syrax it since it included my Syrax suggestion.

I know replying to myself is kinda weird, but just as an example, I wouldn't be surprised if "Johanna gives birth to a boy" is good for double digit Stress for Rhaenyra all by itself because it inherently makes her position less secure even if her dad refuses to even countenance the idea of setting her aside as heir here and now.

And that could happen at any time, adding to whatever our background stress level is.

We the voices in Rhaenyra's head are not Rhaenyra herself. And he certainly didn't give us exactly what we wanted, I doubt anyone wanted several extra maesters dead in the collateral, for Rhaenyra to be believed to be the murderer by Orywle and for the Dornish to be accused of being the ones to do it.

Orwyle believing we killed Mellos was actually a con listed when the vote to talk to Daemon was taking place, and given that we actively want House Peake (Especially House Peake) and similar Houses to rebel so we can have some kind of battle for our Warrior Rhaenyra to fight in, it's not that bad of a thing in my eyes.

The five maesters is unfortunate however.
