Wow that was something, I did not expect that when I heard about the nat 100.

[X] Plan: Self-Discovery
-[X] Remedial Classwork (-15 will)
-[X] Bonding: Harrison Wyatt Armstrong (-5 will)
-[X] Bonding: Ava Rivera (-5 will)

Becoming Merlin is great and all, but Sol has been living in a sad world where Fate was the undeniable, inescapable axiom of the world until now. Just like described in the post. There's no need to rush to our educational duties, the Educator has already given us a good enough excuse as to why we wouldn't go hard from the beginning.

Obviously who else but the Educator to be his guide in these trying times where Solomon's entire world view has been irreversibly changed. He needs to come to terms with it.

Additionally, if Ava is using the High Priestess that is the popular rendition on the thread, she's the best designed role to be there for Solomon due to her nature of handling secrets and mystery. She's probably not at the level to form beneficial links, but it would probably be best to be friends with the cognito-hazard expert when you are experiencing cognito-hazards.

I just choose something else. We still have a lot of time later and some rest, talks and time to think probably needed after reality-shattering experience. Like, we can do other plan later. But social things best to start doing right away before new social network crystallize. Enrollment for sure shook some things and gave us a moment to stick ourselves into the cracks.

Discord musings between questors..

_bw: So we have confirmation that the Educator was a man before he underwent the change. He seems to hold aspects of his human personality too.

"There is no such thing as fate, for men like us, only the sheer hubris of hoping to change God's design to suit our image. And in due time, we may achieve that dream. For now, rest and see what Eden has to offer us."

Dream of changing God's design.. Diverting God?

W: He considers himself and Sol to be the 'same kind of men.'

_bw: He might have been talking about Enrolled, or the exceptional men and women that it takes to take up a Role. This implies... Educator is an Enrolled. If so, what is his Class then? Creator, Destroyer, Sustainer - Educator?

W: It being his younger version and it being Sol's vision just kind of makes it seem more personal. But him just talking in general is also perfectly possible. Would not surprise me if he is an Enrolled as he actually got limits and weaknesses like one, like his power getting lower and lower outside the classroom.

_bw: With godlike power, it would make sense why he is so rigid in a few senses, to follow the path of his Role to the letter.

W:That would beg the question of who was HIS teacher though? And why do all classes start with him teaching them?
_bw: Himself perhaps - like gods create themselves. This might be the Mystery, the source.

I really like the idea of connecting with Ava, but I feel we should do it organically. Link up with her through Harrison (or maybe Penelope?) cause he's on good terms with everyone and when the right situational venue presents itself. It's a first interaction with a new character so things has to be prepped for so everything goes well.

We should save socials for next turn though because we're relatively unpowered right now. And everyone else will be empowering as well. Let's get a handle on Sol's situation first and get more leeway to act with our Role - for safety. And then we can rest and social in peace.

Besides we've already had a very good social with Harrison this turn. Sol trusts him now because he listened - like his neighbour - that's three people in the world now. Him, her and Educator.

I disagree with the sentiment that we should pursue training in regular classes because we are unpowered. As a matter of fact, it should be pretty clear frankly that we are the most powerful out of any of our classmates, so honing in on that seems the like the best option in my opinion.

I'm amenable to paying the extra 5 will (plus the 10 we won't be recouping from the lack of decompresion) to socialise with both Harrison and Ava.

But we have no indication that Solomon is socially incapable, from his interactions with the bullies, Harrison and Nash(?)[The guy at the start]. Besides, the fact that people can now listen to him should probably make him more amenable to trying on different people?

Hmm.. In that case, let the thread take us where it will. Harrison should be able make it easier to break ice providing easier to reach threads. I do still have concerns with impressing the Educator though and acquiring conceptual Role powers so we can keep up with the classmates and have wider venues of action.. We are powerful but acting on our Sight still limits us unless we want to cough up the price.

Found and fixed a few (4) typos in the latest update. Any Will or SC awarded is entirely at Birdsie's discretion:
makind -> mankind
featurless -> featureless
Solomon's football career -> Harrison's / Beat me to this one.
circulating the Magician -> circulating about the
entrnace -> entrance

[X] Plan: Best Foot Forward

Plan-wise, this looks good. Interaction would be hypocritical after warning Harrison about upperclassmen. The antichrist prophecy warrants investigation, especially as we're sharing the school with the Bible Class, but there's nothing we can do about it now. We might also be underweighting Exploration. Threats or new information could boost engagement, and who knows what kind of first mover advantage Josh could gain by leveraging his Role; Solomon was previously unable to predict anything about their associated world. But for now, Solomon does need to get his shit together.

[X] Plan: Best Foot Forward
-[X] Classwork: Individualized (-30 Will)
-[X] x2 Classwork: Remedial (-30 Will)
-[X] Consume Coffee Jelly (+30 Will)

I'd like to remind people about the need for a refrigerator or refrigeration source for our coffee jelly

[X] Plan: Best Foot Forward

For what it's worth Individualized Classwork is more will efficient than standard at 12 will per "class participation equivalent". It is also more efficient choice wise. This is without the obvious benefits of Role advancement and seeming engaged to the teacher. Consequently it should be preferred where practical, until this changes.

Not taking individualized classwork is a huge mistake, we need at least one to get access to our powerset beyond cantrips that each take time (and will) to develop. From a practical standpoint, this is required for safety.

When in School do as the Schoolmans do.

[X] Plan: Best Foot Forward

As far as I can tell, the yearning for his visions once the educator sealed his third eye is the closest thing to desire/motivations we've seen from Solomon up until now, so I'll vote to pursue this. Actually this update made me regret a bit that the thread decided to go for magician instead of hermit or (even better) the hanged man, since the vision itself was so cool.

[X] Plan: Friendship
[X] Individualized [-15 Will]
[X] Remedial Classwork -
[X] Bonding [-5 Will] - Deepen your bond with a student or faculty member you know!
[X] Harrison

We need to do at least one Standardized/Individualized class to actually be able to reliably use our magician powers

Given Remedial classes are only an option because of our 100nat luck role we defintly need to take this esspecialy since it's also in charecter for
Solomon to try to learn about his visions given his issues related to them

Given Solomon nature I think it would be good to get him to start socializing as soon as possible

We also need to solve the refrigeration problem soon so we aren't forced to use all of our coffee jello early

It would also be a bad idea to try to interact with the upperclassmen right now especially since we just told Harrison not to

I feel the plans not really aptly named though since it doesn't go all in on friendship. If anything the uh other one goes more into friendship than this one.

sooooo anything to discuss to gain more sc? I talked about what roles you would want based on various themes in the class a couple days ago. Also themes talked about like America. washington, abraham lincoln, einstein, oppenheimer, amelia, elvis, monroe, paul bunyan, johnny appleseed, uncle sam, lady liberty, geronimo, rosie the riveter, cheeseburger freedom man, independence lord, florida man, alabama man, ohio lord. These are some of the theoretical roles there I wanted to play as paul bunyan as I thought I could probably convince the class to give it to me due to its big downsides like being a giant, food, being a god damn giant.

I don't think people have many things to talk about. Maybe we just don't have inspiring topic or its a wrong time.

Edit: And I found music, which started playing in my head, when Sol got glimpse of omniscience. I like it.
