I'm glad someone else pointed it out.

Every choice that are said to be benefits or advantages have all been no shows.

Just to provide a example of Anathema against Daemons

'What is it?' she asked.

'I don't know,' Arkhan stammered.

'It looks like the sun is rising.'

And in a sunless realm, the sun rose at last.

The light of dawn was palpable on Ra's armour as well as his skin. It was a pressure, a presence with searing physicality. The enemy hordes felt it as acid on their skin.

The creatures – daemons no matter what secular truths held strong – lost what little order they had ever possessed.

The Anathema! Ra heard their frantic agony as a sick scraping on the edges of his mind. The Anathema comes! The sun rises!

His features were those of one born in the wild lands of Ancient Eurasia. His skin was a Terran blend of bronze and burnt umber, His eyes darker still, His hair darkest of all. The long black fall of His hair was held by a simple circlet crown of metal leaves, binding the mane back from His face so He could fight. More practical than regal.

He moved as a man moved, coming through the straining ranks of His guardians on foot, pushing through the press of bodies on the rare instances they didn't instinctively move aside for Him.

He wore gold, as all of His guardians wore gold. The same sigils of Terran Unity and Imperial nobility that showed on their armour were cast thricefold upon His own. His armour joints didn't growl with the crude industrial snarl of mass-manufactured legionary plate, but purred with the song of older, purer technologies.

On His back, held by a simple strap against His flowing red cloak, was an ornate bolter of black and bronze. In His hand He carried a sword – one that looked nothing like the blade portrayed in the victory murals and illustrated sagas. By the standards of Terran lords and kings it was inarguably beautiful, but in the grip of the ruler of an entire species it was, perhaps, rather plain.

A weapon to wield, a tool for shedding blood, not an ornament to be admired. Impossibly complicated circuitry latticed its blade, black and coppery against a silver so hallowed that it was almost blue.

In other wars on other worlds He had greeted His Custodians with subtle telepathy, speaking their names as He passed them before a battle.

Here He was more restrained, moving to the embattled front rank without offering any acknowledgement at all.

Of the Neverborn, some broke ranks and fled. These cowardly shards of their vile masters knew that destruction had come.

Some tore into each other, cannibalising their kindred for strength in the face of destruction. Some lost what little grasp they had on corporeality, their forms melting and dissolving before the sword-wielding monarch even reached the front lines.

The strongest raged at the sin of His existence. With a gestalt bellow loud enough to shake the windless air of this alternate reality, they fought to reach their archenemy.

Ra was at the Emperor's right side, spear whirling, lashing out to punch through the amorphous bodies of flailing blue creatures that wailed through their many mouths.

Sweat baked his face inside his helm. The blood in his muscles was heavier than liquid lead.

'Orders, sire?'

The Emperor raised His sword in a two-handed grip. As His knuckles tightened, the geography of circuitry ignited along the blade's length, spitting electrical fire and wreathing the sword's length in flame.

He didn't speak. He didn't look at any of His warriors. The sword came down. The webway caught fire.

Even one persentage of effect is enough for a baby Anathema. I never implied that he was anything close to Emperor.

This is the third time you've posted this. Just edit your old post. And in fairness, making him equal to the Emperor is ludicrious, though a more visible effect would've been nice.
We saw the tech level difference when we were on the Chronus dominion ship. They have the same ship, in theory, but they can't utilize them to their full potential, because they can't automate it.
The federation can build ships in decades that would take the imperium much longer, because they have superior manufacturing.
The Quality of life in Bladus is very high.
Stable psykers: Don't get overconfident, and you'll be fine.

The options from this turn:
- An entirely new type of ship
- A new type of Power armor that can be worn by normal humans
- Reverse engineering some of the Emperor's Gene mods

We're seeing innovations happening very quickly, which demonstrates how well they understand the technology.
Fair enough I guess. You have a point when viewed that way. It just doesn't do a good job of conveying it story-wise. Like, again it's offhand sentences with advantages being barely mentioned or not appearing at all. Exhibit A of the "better equipment" just getting mentioned as the soldiers having better equipment without explaining what they actually were.

Besides, why is this all completely new? Why is it that they only get off their asses in tech development when Drake arrived. He's not a scientist or engineer and they've long been plagued by enemies. I thought we already have some of these things when we picked them, to Dark Age standards, not that they're the available tech trees available that we'd need to research.

Being able to improve and innovate Dark Age tech sounds great on paper, but seeing how soldiers equipped with Dark Age tech performed against what amounts to a much more backwards enemy and a minor ork waaagh in the grand scheme of things, when they should already be Dark Age quality just makes it less impressive

[X] Several Promethean-class Cruisers.
[X] Limitation replication of Drake's supersoldier nature
Next time we have a chance to vote for more ships; A glorianna would be a great choice; but for now our cruisers are under strength.

[X] Several Promethean-class Cruisers.
[X] A new heavy power armour design for marines and army.

Thinking on it more cruisers would leave us with a more efficient fleet composition as much as I want a glorious Gloriana to sail around in.

[x] A Gloriana-class Battleship.
Let us go with an additional battleship for now. After we beat the ork's, I think the fascists in the neighborhood might come around, looking for our Girlfriend, Jen. Who somehow managed to charm half of their serves in the navy to revolt. They don't know that Drake is responsible for that. And even if they can't use their ships, they still are a danger. Our escort forces are built up well enough for the moment, but our battle line is a bit lacking.

[x] Limitation replication of Drake's supersoldier nature.
Also, I want to have this. With the upgrades in the equipment, we now need to make the man wearing them better. Everything that can give us a slight edge is a good idea.

Also, check out this on our character sheet for everyone wondering what Little Anathema does.

i don't think its going to win unless something major happens but im still interested in the possible outcome.
il leave the ship vote alone as i have no real opinion.
@Oshha are these developments available in later votes or locked out if their not picked?.

Ok so.. we can build a Glorian class vessel?!?

A single one of these can win a fight against a fleet by itself.

Whats even more incredible is that we can build one because the vast resources needed and construction time.

Iirc Mars can make 10 of these in 10 years if they had the resources, STCs, and time.

As for the second option Power armour all the way for me. for the new warship design, we don't have a problem with our ships being out of date we simply don't have enough of them so not needed right now maybe when our navy becomes big. As for the third option, it is only the first step of many before we get even near the space marines and we don't really need space marines, unlike the crusade we can take our time conquering our sector so we don't need highly elite soldiers that can go from one conflict to another without stop and with Power armour, good weapons and a targeting system if we get one a squad of Powered armour soldiers can take down space marines so Power armour all the way it will also make our army much stronger which would be necessary if we wish to invade worlds and conquer them.
To make the case for super soldiers: First off we already have some of the best tech available. Especially in regards to naval technology and our power armor is IIRC noted to be on par with what the Great Crusade could field if not better. Meanwhile having access to Drakes biology along with our science seems like it would be somewhat easier to make better super soldiers thanks to having something higher grade to learn from.

Second the issue with power armor is that it is limited to elites so it's not that wide spread among the army. It's not helped with them likely needing maintenance.

Third W40K has shown that super soldiers are highly effective for the setting. This is especially prominent with Drake repeatedly proving that by constantly being the deciding factor in numerous battles. They'd also make our other tech more effective thanks to being wielded by super soldiers. And if we can make it more widespread than power armor than that makes it more valuable.

Fourth and finally I disagree that we are not in a hurry to take over worlds. As noted in canon the bigger and stronger human factions during the crusade had enough leverage to either resist being fully absorbed into the Imperium or even outright able to keep independence. Hence it's in our interest to have as big and powerful a polity as possible before the Crusade reaches us to have as much leverage as possible. As shown with space marines super soldiers are pretty valuable in conquering and holding worlds without needing to just nuke everything including the important infrastructure.

I am kinda disapointed that during a 7 year timeskip that, drake didn't increase in any skills.

You can make two types of super soldiers, either give them the best equipment or biologically enhance them. Either way there will only be limited numbers of them but I still prefer the tech route because this means that out of armor they are still regular humans. Some of the Astartes Legions had issues with not letting their posthuman nature go to their heads, which I want to avoid.
