@Oshha How close to the rails of canon do you plan for this quest to follow and how much will we be able to change? not saying that we can prevent the heresy from happening but perhaps by building a strong relationship with one or two of the other primarchs we might be able to prevent them from falling to chaos (while unintentionally damning others that didn't fall to chaos in canon).

First of all, you can totally prevent the Heresy. There will be a conflict, but that is because the Imperium is built upon a bunch of faultlines that the Great Crusade has been papering over. Once the Emperor goes into seclusion and the Great Crusade begins to come to end, there will be a conflict between the Primarchs and their legions. That said, you might not be able to prevent there being conflict, but you can shape what conflict happens. Maybe only a few Primarchs fall to cause. Maybe some of the tamed monsters like Angron or Cruze decide to go rogue, starting a chain of dominos. Maybe the Emperor finds out about the Red Thirst and orders the purge of Sanguinius and the Blood Angels. Maybe individual feuds between Primarchs come to a violent head. Maybe Ultramar and the Federation of Bladus make a joint bid for independence.

Basically, I am keeping canon up to the point that all of the Primarchs are found. After that, things are a semi-free game though you won't be able to do everything and you will need to pick and choose what options you take.

Divination would probably have been better then Telepathy for Space Combat sadly, would make predicting fleet movements easier. Though Telepathy would probably work very well with governance I feel.

Granted I think both can be dangerous in making someone lose touch with humanity like Emps did, so I favored the Supreme Commander build, but we can work with Pysker Prime Minster build.

I think that we should be a support for the Emperor that he can trust so that the Empire survives and all the reforms that the Emperor wants to make after the Great Crusade come true.

So I understood that after the great crusade there should come reforms which should eliminate the mistakes that were tolerated because there was no time during the crusade.

Oh, I didn't think you'd be that generous, I'm all for building a relationship with the few decent primarchs and eventually seceding from the imperium (and not being genocidal towards every alien race we come across).

Also where in the galaxy is the federation of bladus located, what segmentum?

For a secession movement

>guilliman
>the khan
>perturabo
>corax
>vulkam
>magnus

They scream "renegades" rather than chaos or loyalist

Dorn is lost cause,too loyal

Alpha legion is a wild card

Fulgrim is....well fulgrim

Horus is either chaos or loyalist

Sanguiniois is loyalist

Mortarion is bitter as fuck

Lemman russ is a oportunist and hypocrite yet loyal to emps

Angron is angron

Lion is too loyal to emps

Konrad curze is a psyco

Ferrus manus was a darwinist untill the late crusade (he intended to reform the iron hands but got killed),migth be recruitable

Lorgar is chaos

Angron can't be more than a dog on a leash unless we figure out how to remove the nails. What about the Lion?

The lion is singleminded loyalist

As in "he doesnt care what emps order him,he will obey"

He lived on haunted woods where chaos tempted him and he stayed loyal even without knowing what chaos was

There is no chance on hell on him joining any rebellion

Tho he would be neutral at reforms and pacific protests

I don't know, I don't think thats really set in stone until somewhat after the Emperor hypocritically decides to turn his legions religous capital into a smoldering ruin for the crime of worshipping him...

Despite uh...

Letting a entire sub-empire worship him as the Omnisaiah.

Lorgar is just a guy that has faith be a central tenet in his life which is morally neutral and plenty of good guys in 40k have turned that to good ends. I've long been of the mind that the best way to keep him from Chaos is to encourage him to convert to the Ad Mech religion, which will give him a social acceptable way of worshipping the emperor that Big E can't punish him for because it would cause a schism with mars who he needs as much as they need Terra if not more.

Mortarion is bitter as fuck

And us being an open Psyker would probably sour relations with him right away, nevermind Magnus joining in too. Which is unfortunate since Mortarion would be all for screwing with Emps. Sadly that, his general caustic personality, and the fact that Typhus is poised to screw him over for Nurgle at the first opportunity makes cooperation with the guy difficult.

Angron can't be more than a dog on a leash unless we figure out how to remove the nails. What about the Lion?

Which is sad since Angron could have been a real good dude, and has very valid reasons for joining a secessionist movement. Sadly he is too angry and the Butcher Nails literally are his brain by the end.

Lion wouldn't join a secessionist movement, unless if he was the leader of it. Especially if Girlyman joined in too.

Ferrus manus was a darwinist untill the late crusade (he intended to reform the iron hands but got killed),migth be recruitable

I mean if we can get Vulkan and Corvus on our side then chances of recruiting him are a lot higher. The three of them and their Legions were allies until Ferrus bit the dust and the Iron Hands got really salty and the other loyalists due to their primarch being the only one to die.

On the other hand the Iron Hands were the legion closest to the AdMech I believe, and they aren't going to like us since our civ still uses AIs (and our tech not being under their control). They might try to force the issue and get Big E to order us to exterminate all of them to prevent a potential Men of Iron 2.0

Why should we even have a secession movement. We must 'simply' ensure that the empire survives after the great crusade so that the Emporer can implement his reforms that were not possible during the crusade.

Thats assuming emps reform are all good

He does mention on the books he intends to make mankind the dominant species on the universe

Wich you know the implications of (universe wide great crusade and pretty much mass killing most sentient life that could be considered peers to mankind)

Plus all the other assholishness of emps

A reform mlvement would need to stop emps mindless expansion and conquest once mankind survival and the galaxy stability is ensured

Cause the imperium is a awful shithole that destroyed any other human way, the great crusade was pointless too.

Big E is kinda really stuck in his ways with his beliefs, given the universe and his past a lot of his beliefs are understandable but he is still the biggest Tyrant humanity has ever known. I'm not sure if the MC is going to be ok with the Emperor, given that he lives in a Democracy that by the standards of the setting is a pretty far up there is in terms of not being shitty.

I think that we should be a support for the Emperor that he can trust so that the Empire survives and all the reforms that the Emperor wants to make after the Great Crusade come true.
We should also see if we can kickstart technology research, which would put us on the Emperor's good side if not the AdMech. And we should kill Erebus as soon as we see him, because he is scum and we should be able to sense that. Seriously, even Chaos would thank us since no one likes Erebus.
Really, the best way forward I see is to supplant the AdMech as much as possible, and make friends with Magnus and Sanguinius above all else. Magnus since it means he has someone to lean on and talk psychic stuff with (and so we can steer him away from messing with daemons) and Sanguinius for the fact that he's a Seer and the possibility that he might let us in about the Red Thirst and we might be able to help him with it due to having people skilled in both Genetics and Psionics. And we should annihilate the Cabal if they try to approach us, because their whole plan was completely moronic.

Hello. Just found this quest. My 40k knowledge is still pretty weak, given that immense amount of lore. I do intend to join with the next vote, though. I was personally fine with Plans Supreme Commander, Be British, or Psyker Minister so I'm pretty happy with the choices so far.

Fulgrim is....well fulgrim
he was loyal to the bone actually its just the demon blade that tipped things over for him , like the traitors didn't even try to recruit him in the first place , in fact there was a point in the time line were the traitors while in the middle of purging their ranks of loyalists before the betrayal proper started were Fulgrim and his entire fleet plus legion and auxilian forces suddenly showed up , while the traitor fleets were out of position , their troops tired and depleted from the internal purge and while Fulgrim's fleet takes position is pretty much a single order away from wiping out the traitors wholesale and then while the were internally panicking and going "Shit SHIT SHIT were are so gonna get busted" , then the let out a sigh of relief when Fulgrim(now taken over by the demon sword) joins the heresy
