#StickiedForAReason
Votes that do not follow the template will not be counted!

At this time I am using a counter system, listing the number of days votes take to be put into action. However for write-in votes you don't know how many days an action may take. For this we will use the old system of Major/Minor Decisions, and I will tell you how many days/weeks/months the plan will take. Remember that every month has 28 days, and that there are 13 months in the year with New Years as a special day alone outside the months. There is no leap year, as their calendar is not accurate to that degree.

Major decisions are any new endeavors. Finding new investments. Finding new allies (specify what type, where you're looking if possible, what you want from them, etc) finding new trainers, starting new training even if it is with people you already know... Anything new.

No mixing something that would qualify as a minor decision or free action into your major votes! If you have a question about your votes, ask me.

Talking with specific people about specific subjects. You can generally only talk with one person at a time with this. There are simple logical exceptions, Husband & Wife combos can be put together as one conversation, brother & sister, stuff like that. I'll clarify if a combo is unacceptable when I see the vote. This is also for continuing any long term action. Any major decision that you have already voted to start (not just mused about in-story) can be a minor action the next time around. Continuing training that you have already begun for example. Continuing a long-term investigation or plot. Stuff like this.

Making small talk with characters. You will not learn anything special really, but it gives you more insight into their backgrounds and history, can raise/lower their loyalty or other relationship points with you, etc. Raising/lowering and how much depends on rolls.

These can interrupt any current action(s) and will take precedence over the current plan. A way to change things on the fly as you discover new information or alternate ways to potentially enhance your plan, or change it completely if needed.

Remember for all votes if you take a guard or other individual with you, you will need to write-in which guard/person you take with you (just saying take a guard or ally will leave the decision of which one up to me) and also whether Daenerys tries to use any future knowledge on the decision as well if it is one of hers or she is present. (She still may decide to try and use her future knowledge without your consent if she thinks it necessary.) These details are sub-votes.

[] [Plan] X (Current Month, Short Term, Long Term, Immediate Actions, Purchases, etc.)
-[] Major Decisions: Character name here
--[] Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
--[] Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
-[] Minor Decisions: Character name here
--[] Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
--[] Minor Decision 2
-[] Free Actions: Character name here
--[] Free Action 1
---[] Sub-conditions
--[] Free Action 2
---[] Sub-conditions

You get the jist of this.

However, under the plan vote, you will then put a "Priority" Vote.

[] Aegon Priority: 1. Major Decision 1, 2. Free Action 2, 3. Minor Decision 1, 4. Major Decision 2, etc.
[] Daenerys Priority: 1. Free Action 2, 2. Major Decision 3, 3. Minor Decision 1, etc.

This way we can vote on the general plan, then I can separate the order of events in said plan.

Don't put V1, V2, or any other such revision information into your plan. Just leave it like I have it. Nothing extra. The tally system will update to your newest post. No need to make version markers. It just makes things harder for me.

If an action in a plan is not one for a specific character, more a general idea of what needs to be done, it will still need to go into the priority matrix.

At the end of all your votes, put your reasons explaining your vote choice. As I've said before, a plan with reasons will get more weight than one without. Because reasons matter. I care about reasons more than numbers. I need reasons to help build the characters. Get used to putting reasons into your plans, as eventually reasons will become a requirement rather than a suggestion. This post will change when that occurs.

[] [Plan] X

You may (but are not required to) put additional reasons to agree with that plan beneath your vote if there are reasons for it that the original vote creator didn't put in that you thought of. The more/better the reasoning inside explaining a vote, the greater the chance it will be added into the story.

Votes are typically closed after either 12 or 24 hours unless real life interferes. Ties will be either decided by me, or by whoever is in the forum or the Discord that has not voted already at the time. I will @ whoever is currently in the forum or Discord that I choose to be the tiebreaker.

Plans have specific timelines. Immediate Actions are obviously immediate. Current Month is similarly self-explanatory. Short Term is something that can conceivably be done within 1-3 months, and Long Term is 3-6 months.

So to clarify, you're saying that offering our servitude and that of our descendants will lower the DC, or that offerings should be less abstract?

Also, any indication of how long we have for those other two nat 20's to weigh in?

Edit: removed fluff
Servitude is a huge offering, suitably huge for your life, but you have d20s helping. No need to go that far then. Perhaps offering to complete a finite number of services?

Are the dragons jealous gods, in the Abrahamic sense? Would they be pleased at the offering of slaying twenty Andals of the Seven, or two Faceless Men, or something?

IC you don't know much about them, not to mention your desperation. So you can offer an unknown favor of some kind or none really. Once you learn more about them you could make more defined deals.

Fair enough, I apologize for my fishing.

Why so enthusiastic about the human sacrifice bro? o_O
If Aegon dies it'll be very confusing to go back and forth between reading this and catching up on Sword Without a Hilt, lol.

You're fine, I said it was okay to be OOC outside the vote itself. Also, that quest inspired this one.

Fyi, what Aegon knows about the Gods is in the Apocrypha threadmark. He did learn some things from talking with the followers, plus what legends he already knew on his own.

Feel free to use anything from there to color your prayers.

One hour before I close the vote.

I suggest you guys hammer out any details by then.

Switching.

@OnlineArmadillo i think we might need to promise more. Our continued fealty is a bit weak.

Life pays for life.

Maybe sacrifice a dragon egg to them or allow it to fly free? Our firstborn? I'm not kidding.

Did consider it. But we have several N20s helping us and Lunasmeow said our dedicated service is plenty payment for our survival.

Any more can be offered later. This action should open up closer contact with our gods while avoiding possible debt being transferred to Dany or our descendants.

A Divine Order For This Mortal Coil - Part Eight
Winning Vote:

Oh gods of Fire and Blood, hear my plea! Let the flames of victory bring forth the blood of mine enemies! Allow me to show these fools the true might of Valyria, and my life is yours! Let the glory and power of the Dragonlords of Valyria once more sweep over these lands, our reign eternal and everlasting; our might and majesty unrivaled. Should this pledge go unanswered, may House Targaryen still yet rise higher than ever before. For ours is the Blood of the Dragon!

To quickly quote something from the Discord chat:

(Lunasmeow as) Tessarion: Did you all think I wasn't willing to let Aegon die? Hahahahahaha
Galerius: Yes?
Tessarion: Foolish. This quest is about realism not fantasy. Have I not made that clear? If you succeed in anything in this quest, you know that you really succeeded. Because I don't fudge the rolls.
Galerius: Uh... I don't think divine intervention is realistic.
Tessarion: It is when R'hllor raises people from the damn dead in canon. If that wasn't a thing, then Aegon wouldn't have a chance. But fortunately for you all, that happens. And if one god can intervene, than so can others. Unfortunately for you all... Everything comes at a price.

A Divine Order For This Mortal Coil - Part Eight
Third Week of the Fifth Month 297 AC

Your prayer to the Gods of Old Valyria echoes in your ears as your blood rushes through your veins, hotter than ever before. You feel almost as if you could burst into flame as the sound of dragon's roars echo in your ears. For a moment you think you see the image of a dragon in the night sky, and then it is gone.

*Clang!*

The sound of metal against metal rings in your ears and you see that somehow a shield has transposed itself between yourself and your enemy. Soon after you hear the sound of a man choking on his own blood. Shaking your head to clear your vision you see a stranger before you, his sword in Micah's gut, his shield having blocked the blade that was aimed for your neck.

Everything goes quiet and Micah falls, and you are hauled up onto your feet by the stranger, who then starts to lead you away from the battle. With both leaders dead the fight changes in nature as both begin to argue over who is now in charge, and you are too unsteady on your feet to take advantage of the situation and attempt to take control yourself.

Your plans for this group are ruined. Your plans for being the head of a guild are ruined. Still, you did at least complete the job of getting rid of the Barons if the way the fight is going is any indication. You'll get some pay for that at least. That is the only thing you can think before you succumb to the exhaustion you feel and everything fades to black.

When next you wake your are home. Dany is by your side, a bowl of soup in her hands and is trying to feed you. Oh, it must be her that woke you. You're hungry. Starving. As if you were back on the streets of Pentos and hadn't eaten for three days. You try to reach for the spoon but feel too weak. 'What the hell happened to me?' you wonder. Dany pushes your hands aside and feeds you herself. Finally. Food.

As you eat the meaty soup and bread you can feel strength returning to your limbs. By the time the bowl is about three quarters empty you can feed yourself again, and you know that you'll be able to move normally after a day of rest. Your mind is swiftly catching up with the events of the night, (tonight? last night? what day is it?) and you ask Dany the most important question of all.

"How did I get here?"

It is then that the third person in the room makes themselves known. You hear a man clear his throat politely, and Dany looks over towards the other side of the room.

"I found you, your grace." The man is Westerosi, that much is obvious. "I am here to swear myself into your service." He steps before you and kneels as a knight to his liege.

"Ser Jorah Mormont, at your service my lord."

The next day you are whole again. Able to move about normally though you feel different somehow. Something you can't quite place. Last night's adventure brought a few things home to you, and you need to take care that you are more... measured in the risks you take.

Thankfully, you now have a knight in your service. One who saved your life no less, and he has pledged to protect you and Daenerys. You need training. More, if you're going to be getting into dangerous situations you need armor. Matalarr's style of fighting requires lighter armor than full plate yes, but even his uses light armor of some kind to ward off simple blows. Leather perhaps, or even a chain shirt. Something.

Also, while your plans for the less... civilized areas of Braavos may have failed this time, you still have to get to the temple of the gods. Moreso since it appears that one or multiple may have answered your prayer. To some extent if not in full. Perhaps bringing the knight along wouldn't be a bad idea.

What do you do?

[] Go to the temple with the faithful.
- [] Bring Dany as well.
- [] Bring Ser Jorah.
- [] Bring Matalarr

So, I rolled for the divine intervention. I got a fucking nat 100.

Yeah. None of the 20s were needed, thus none were used. You all keep them.

However, @Taylor Mcfee rolled a 2 for what the gods did when they intervened. So they answered, but the gods of Valyria are weak here in R'hllor's lands. So while they answered to keep you alive, they had to use... unsavory tools to do so. OOC you all know that Jorah is a spy. You also know that he is pretty much destined to fall in love with Daenerys, your intended wife. IC you don't. Welcome to backhanded miracles.
