Votes that do not follow the template will not be counted!

At this time I am using a counter system, listing the number of days votes take to be put into action. However for write-in votes you don't know how many days an action may take. For this we will use the old system of Major/Minor Decisions, and I will tell you how many days/weeks/months the plan will take. Remember that every month has 28 days, and that there are 13 months in the year with New Years as a special day alone outside the months. There is no leap year, as their calendar is not accurate to that degree.

Major decisions are any new endeavors. Finding new investments. Finding new allies (specify what type, where you're looking if possible, what you want from them, etc) finding new trainers, starting new training even if it is with people you already know... Anything new.

No mixing something that would qualify as a minor decision or free action into your major votes! If you have a question about your votes, ask me.

Talking with specific people about specific subjects. You can generally only talk with one person at a time with this. There are simple logical exceptions, Husband & Wife combos can be put together as one conversation, brother & sister, stuff like that. I'll clarify if a combo is unacceptable when I see the vote. This is also for continuing any long term action. Any major decision that you have already voted to start (not just mused about in-story) can be a minor action the next time around. Continuing training that you have already begun for example. Continuing a long-term investigation or plot. Stuff like this.

Making small talk with characters. You will not learn anything special really, but it gives you more insight into their backgrounds and history, can raise/lower their loyalty or other relationship points with you, etc. Raising/lowering and how much depends on rolls.

These can interrupt any current action(s) and will take precedence over the current plan. A way to change things on the fly as you discover new information or alternate ways to potentially enhance your plan, or change it completely if needed.

Remember for all votes if you take a guard or other individual with you, you will need to write-in which guard/person you take with you (just saying take a guard or ally will leave the decision of which one up to me) and also whether Daenerys tries to use any future knowledge on the decision as well if it is one of hers or she is present. (She still may decide to try and use her future knowledge without your consent if she thinks it necessary.) These details are sub-votes.

[] [Plan] X (Current Month, Short Term, Long Term, Immediate Actions, Purchases, etc.)
-[] Major Decisions: Character name here
--[] Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
--[] Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
-[] Minor Decisions: Character name here
--[] Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
--[] Minor Decision 2
-[] Free Actions: Character name here
--[] Free Action 1
---[] Sub-conditions
--[] Free Action 2
---[] Sub-conditions

You get the jist of this.

However, under the plan vote, you will then put a "Priority" Vote.

[] Aegon Priority: 1. Major Decision 1, 2. Free Action 2, 3. Minor Decision 1, 4. Major Decision 2, etc.
[] Daenerys Priority: 1. Free Action 2, 2. Major Decision 3, 3. Minor Decision 1, etc.

This way we can vote on the general plan, then I can separate the order of events in said plan.

Don't put V1, V2, or any other such revision information into your plan. Just leave it like I have it. Nothing extra. The tally system will update to your newest post. No need to make version markers. It just makes things harder for me.

If an action in a plan is not one for a specific character, more a general idea of what needs to be done, it will still need to go into the priority matrix.

At the end of all your votes, put your reasons explaining your vote choice. As I've said before, a plan with reasons will get more weight than one without. Because reasons matter. I care about reasons more than numbers. I need reasons to help build the characters. Get used to putting reasons into your plans, as eventually reasons will become a requirement rather than a suggestion. This post will change when that occurs.

[] [Plan] X

You may (but are not required to) put additional reasons to agree with that plan beneath your vote if there are reasons for it that the original vote creator didn't put in that you thought of. The more/better the reasoning inside explaining a vote, the greater the chance it will be added into the story.

Votes are typically closed after either 12 or 24 hours unless real life interferes. Ties will be either decided by me, or by whoever is in the forum or the Discord that has not voted already at the time. I will @ whoever is currently in the forum or Discord that I choose to be the tiebreaker.

Plans have specific timelines. Immediate Actions are obviously immediate. Current Month is similarly self-explanatory. Short Term is something that can conceivably be done within 1-3 months, and Long Term is 3-6 months.

So with our sizeable fleet we go to Volantis, pick up Viserys on the way (from the sounds of it he will make a badarse Kingsgaurd and Admiral and his apparently massive ship will help bolster our forces considerably).

Once we hit Volantis we hatch the dragon eggs and try to abuse the R'hollorite majority and the Tigers desire for war (similar to how Viserys did in the Dragon of the North quest). From Volantis we spread out, take over the Valyrian remenants in the East before going West and taking the Three Daughters and Disputed Lands.

Finally, with our fully grown Dragons we have a chat, first with Illyrio, then with Drogo and finally we chat with Robert....

[X] The Dothraki are coming!

We thought about ways to convince Braavos to fight on our behalf and came up with nothing – there seems to be no way that a city that is institutional against Valyrians would fight for them.
Simple. We hide. They aren't going to demand shit, Khal Drogo's going to loot the place, period. He's not going to demand jack.

Despite your blessed ability in mercantile, you were so shocked when you heard the town criers yelling about the Targaryen inheritance being claimed by "the Valyrian Lord and Lady" that you completely screwed up in bargaining.

Hey Luna do you mean Velaryon? Valyrian is like saying Braavosi right? Could mean anyone if that's the case.

Actually, he is going to make demands. Drogo is a barbarian, but not a complete idiot. He knows if he doesn't make a demand, what he really wants, Daenerys, the prophesied mother of the Stallion that Mounts the World, may die the war. Civilian casualties are normal. Best option is to demand her, then he can still raid the place after if he wants.

Don't assume barbarians are stupid. That was what the Night's Watch did with the Wildlings. That didn't work out well for them.

What I mean is more, if he gets Daeny, can he really keep his little horde from ransacking Braavos?

Here's my proposal.

[X] The Dothraki are coming!

Do you honestly think that the Sealord is going to let us leave? He hates Valyrians and it looks like we're running from slavers while taking an inordinately large amount of Braavos' precious naval resources. What's to stop him from simply seizing our property on charges of cowardice or after an accusation of bribery? We are not going to get out of here with all of our stuff on top of an enormous fleet. Only the Sealord's personal friends are cronies are getting out and we are definately not one of those. He has every reason to try and fuck us if we try and leave.

Of course, on the other hand, Dany can't stay either. The Sealord will hand her over immediately once Drogo demands it. Either we need to find somewhere for her to hide where she can't be found, or send her away to someplace safe. Our resources and likely us will have to sit in Braavos until after the Dothraki are gone. We can put things in the Iron Bank where they should, hopefully, only be lost of Braavos gets completely sacked. The Iron Bank is located primarily in old, empty iron mines and would thus be a nightmare for the Dothraki to take without a siege. The Sealord won't be able to touch our money there as forcing the Iron Bank to turn over the property of their clients would utterly wreck the bank's reputation and cause clients to flee them.

Simply leaving is way too ambitious and is likely going to end up with the Sealord going 'Lol, no, sit down buddy,' and there's nothing we can do to stop him.

People paid d20s to try to kill him off and succeeded. Also, you might want to read the full plan. They are getting permission another way, not using the Sealord. And it isn't only the Sealord's friends who get out. Normal business continues. Residents don't leave unless they're sailors on normal business. So no, stuff leaving from the harbor is rather normal. Since you would obviously cover the wagons, no one will know what is being moved. So it will look like a bunch of normal trade barges with their fighting ship guards. That's the whole point. Make it look like business as normal.

The one flagship will be the abnormal part, but why would anyone think it anything but another warship protecting the city until they see it leave with the others?

Laena Omake 3 - Official Canon
Omake: Laena III

"Well, The Bargeman's as lively as ever. I wonder if Alissa's husband finally finished that new beer recipe?" Laena wonders as she makes her way unobtrusively through the crowded main room.

The bells had just chimed midday's passing, and she was more than a little shocked at what she'd heard on her way over. Not only were the rumors of a Dothraki invasion true, but the city was also abuzz with intrigue over the Iron Bank's decision to open the Targaryen accounts for 'The Lord and Lady Velaryon'.

The existence of those fabled riches had been a matter of some debate, ever since the Baratheon took the Iron Throne. Nothing had come out about it for years. But now everyone knew that the Stag King had not, in fact, been using it to fund his many grand tourneys.

She smiles a bit wryly as she tries to imagine the fate of the stupid fucker who'd let slip the juicy little tidbit. The Bank was notorious for their truly draconian response to any breach of confidentiality. "At least I can stop worrying about Velaryon's absence. He didn't die a horribly embarrassing death after all. Well," she huffs a small laugh "unless his heart gave out after looking over his new bank statement."

Just then Laena spots one of the less inhibited patrons getting a bit too familiar with that new girl Flissa. Being the helpful young lady that she is, Laena angled her way towards the pair and casually picked the man's pocket; simultaneously jostling him with her hip. He toppled like a felled tree, feet stuttering as he tries to right himself. He fails, and even ends up knocking his head up against a support column. Then he groans and slides slowly, pitifully, to the floor.

The man must have been even more drunk than Laena had guessed because, save for a few mumbled words, he didn't even try to find out who bumped him. As a few dockworkers laughingly haul the drunkard away, Flissa catches her eye and gives her a grateful smile. Laena winks then continues to search for her elusive companion.

She found Zaros at long last; huddled into the back of the room, along with some of his old Navy pals. However, she doesn't immediately move to join them. Because she also sees someone tucked into the corner, listening to the discussion with an almost suspiciously focused stare. Someone Laena thinks is almost comically out of place. "What, by Serwyn's shriveled ballsack is Velaryon's sister doing here?"

Making her way to a nearby table and waving to Flissa for a drink, Laena makes a show of gazing into the middle distance, and does her best to subtly drop some eaves.

Zaros is in especially fine form it seems. He spreads his arms flamboyantly, gesticulating and speaking with the words of an experienced bard. He paints a very riveting picture as he describes the mysterious Targaryen warship. Makes you almost hear the shouts of Dothraki screamers, feel the thunderous rumble of their mounts in your very bones.

Then his tone becomes more serious as he moves onto how the Sealord is reacting to the news of imminent invasion. How no one is allowed to leave the city unless they have official business. "That of course doesn't apply to the Sealords favorite nobles. They get permits to leave as if they were normal sailors on trade ships. Not to mention the inspections take forever, so the line in and out of port is hours longer than usual. And any inspector that reports a bribe gets to keep the monies and properties of whoever tried to bribe them, so that's out too. Smuggling's more dangerous than ever during this nonsense. And that includes anything in the Iron Bank, seeing as they don't want anyone deserting the defense of the city they keep all their gold in, they back the ruling."

The conversation dies out not long after that solemn proclamation. Zaros and the man, Boromun if Laena heard rightly, exchange a few more pleasantries before the Valyrian beauty taps the guard's shoulder. They say their fair wells and depart.

Once they disappear into the crowd, Zaros pulls a chair over to Laena's table and joins her. "Afternoon lass, feel like sharin' the name of the pretty little Valyrian with me?"

"Why do you always lose the accent when you're talking around strangers?" Laena responds, not willing to admit that she's actually forgotten the girl's name. She thinks it starts with a D, but just can't recall the rest of it.

Zaros smirks and a twinkle enters his eye "Not all strangers, just the beautiful ones."

He goes serious again as he continues "Now how's about tellin' me what ya know about Lord and Lady Velaryon. You've been going to those meetin's for that Dragon cult or whatever the hells its called. They followers too?"

Not for the first time, Laena has to remind herself that Zaros is far more intelligent than he usually let's on. He'd survived to a ripe old age, not only because of his skills in the water dance, but also because his mind is as sharp as his sword. "You're right about that Z. The girl's brother, Aegon, came to one of the meetings not too long ago. Mecumber was right nervous I tell ya. Has a reason to be, truth be told. The boy's got charisma like you wouldn't believe."

He snorts "I believe it. If'n he's half as pretty as his sister, then those good looks would do most of the job for 'im." Flissa interrupts their fervent exchange when she comes around to refill their drinks.

They both take a moment to enjoy it. "So Alissa's man did finish it. I'll have to ask her for a few barrels."

Zaros clears his throat "I had a thought Laena."

"Just the one?" She can't help asking with a tilt of her lips.

He shoots her a dry, long suffering, look "Cute. But listen. A great many things are happenin' as of late. Rumors of a ghost ship, flying the Three Headed Dragon. A Dothraki hoard, larger than any seen in a generation, comin' to Braavos of all places! The Targaryen vaults opened for the first time in who knows how long." Zaros leans in and whispers the next part "All o' that, just coincidentally, linin' up with the arrival of two folk who just so happen to look like a couple of Volantene Old Bloods."

A shot of cold crawls down her back as Laena realizes what her friend is trying to say "Ya don't mean that they're actually T-"

He cuts her off by throwing a hand up in front of her face "I'm not sayin' it's the truth. But ya have t' admit, it sounds possible. But let's not speak o' such things just now. A tavern's a good place for gossip, but this topic is just a little too dangerous for casual discussion."

They fall silent for a long few minutes as they both try to make sense of the situation. "Interesting times are upon us. I wonder, where will my path take me in the days to come?"

"So... what are ye goin' ta do lass?"

Laena frowns, the expression creasing her brow and bringing an uncharacteristic severity to her countenance. What was she going to do? Her thoughts drift back to that idle fancy of hers. The one she'd had on the day she first laid eyes upon a Targaryen. "Are the gods trying to tell me something?"

She blinks a few times before setting her face determinedly "First I'm going to tell everyone to get ready for the arrival of those horse bastards. Then..." she takes a deep steadying breath and rushes through the next bit "well I may have been spying on Velaryon a bit for the past few days." Zaros spits a bit of his drink back into his mug as he tries to subdue a sudden coughing fit. She ignores his distress, finishing her statement with "Maybe it's time I introduce myself properly."

Zaros stares at her, searching for something, she doesn't know what. Abruptly he grins, the expression full of amusement and an touch of excitement "In that case," he stands up and places a few coins on their table "I'm comin' with ya. Boromun owes me a few favors for pullin' his arse out of the fire. I could probably get him to ask his new employer for an audience. But if he can get one, the rest is up to you and that silver tongue o' yours."

Laena simply nods and follows him out.

So it looks like we have to get out of Braavos while we still can since it seems like the sealord might throw us out just to appease the dothraki..

We used some nat 20s to kill the current Sealord. So that's less of a concern than everyone else in the city.

Edit: They still Nat 20s if they aren't NATural?

Maybe Fat 20s for FATality :p

The Flight of the Dragons - Part One
The Dothraki Are Coming!

The rumors are obvious, the Dothraki are coming and we know exactly what they seek, or rather whom. It is time to cancel all our other plans and instead prepare to leave Braavos. We know that staying in Braavos will be suicide; once the Dothraki state their terms everyone in the city will come looking for us. Before anyone finds out what the Dothraki want, and also before any available ships are gone, we need to go to the harbor and buy as many ships as possible, so that we can take our wealth with us. We should have more than enough time to order 2 frigates and a galleon from each shipyard, and a Flagship, which should total in 34 Frigates 17 Galleons and a Flagship. We'll also need to return to the merchant we ordered the pendant for Dany from and tell him to send it to our destination, Volantis.

Ships currently available: 35 Carracks, 30 Frigates, and 20 Galleons
Ships currently being built that can be made available: 34 Frigates 17 Galleons and a Flagship
Total ships for our new Targaryen Fleet: 35 Carracks, 64 Frigates, 47 Galleons, and a Flagship

Ships cost:
Carrack = 20GT = Storage
Frigate = 35GT = Fast fighter but weaker fighter
Galleon = 50 GT = Slow powerful fighter
Flagship = 100GT = Medium, extremely powerful fighter - slow to turn

Total Cost: 5,390GT

We'll use the threat of the incoming Dothraki to recruit many men. We must not mention our lack of a pass. We'll have our retainers use their contacts to speed up the process, as well as to get trustworthy and competent workers. Boromun will recruit sailors to sail the ships and carry the carts, and will be the admiral for this trip. Matalarr and Jorah will recruit men to guard the crew whilst carrying treasure and act as marines in case of pirates.

We'll also need to visit the temple, we need to get everything out of there before we leave town. The men and carts Boromun hired will come to take everything away. We'll then send a message to the Valyrian faithful and say that we are setting off to Lorath. We'll ask if any of them want to come with us. Meanwhile we'll be sure to talk loudly in the streets about how we are moving back to Pentos in order to throw off the scent of any spies. If our household servants want to come with us they may. Should they come, we'll hire a few people to look after the property while we're away. If they remain, we'll let them live in the manor in exchange for taking care of it in our absence.

The carts hired by Boromun will finally move all our wealth and whatever we claimed from the temple to our ships. The Iron Bank will be requested to provide guards for the transfer, in return for one of their employees spilling our private information. However we will leave 100,000GT in the Iron Bank, both for financial security, as well as to pay for taxes and repairs on the manor while we are away. We will also want to continue doing business with them once the Dothraki are no longer a threat and we can safely visit Braavos again.

That night, in order to secure a method out of the harbor, we'll have a Faceless Man we previously hired kill and replace the harbor inspector, and using the harbormaster's identity, give us a pass. (200 GT) This will allow us to leave the port and safely set sail to Volantis with our rather large fleet.

The Flight of the Dragons - Part One
First Week of the Sixth Month 297 AC

When the door bursts open and Daenerys runs towards you out of breath you are immediately alarmed and ready to act. She starts trying to catch her breath when you hear a knock on the door. Both you and Dany pause, before you finally head towards the entrance. Jahaelyx opens the door and you see two strangers. Wait no, not two strangers; a girl you've seen among the faithful and a man alongside her.

"Zaros!" you hear Boromun call out. "What brings you here?" he approaches the man without bringing his hand anywhere near his blade, a sign that he isn't preparing for a fight. He trusts this man.

"Well, the Laena here wanted to see the young Lord there. I figured you might be able to make that happen considering you work for them." Zaros says simply. "Didn't expect him to be right there in the front entrance with the young Lady."

You look towards Boromun and lift a questioning eyebrow. "If Zaros is here, you'd best listen to what he has to say," Boromun says in response. "He's one of the most well connected men in Braavos, and he's pulled my bacon out of the fire more than once. I only just left speaking with him when I was out with the young miss, so if he didn't tell me there, it must be something not safe to talk about in the tavern where we usually meet."

You motion for Jahaelyx and Saenera to leave the room, then you and... Laera? Laesa? Head into a side-room with Dany. "So," you say "I've seen you before at the church. What is it you needed to speak to me about?"

You just about to lose your mind when she simply says "I know who you are. Both of you."

You feel an urge to panic well up inside you, but you control yourself. "Do you? And just who do you think we are, if not Aegon and Daenys Velaryon?" You feel Dany subtly grip the back of your shirt as you speak.

Laena chuffs loudly. "Really?" she asks, her voice heavy with disbelief. "Everyone may be marveling at how the Iron Bank opened the Targaryen vaults for a Velaryon, which must mean that the "escaped" royalty of Westeros have finally been caught leaving you as the closest living relatives, or at the least operating on behalf of them, but once people hear that the King is still looking for them, they're going to realize that you two must be those survivors, not quite living in hiding. You two couldn't even pretend to not be family! So tell me, what are you going to do once people realize just who the hell you actually are? I mean, you get here and buy a mansion, there's rumors of a ship bearing your family sigil and colors attacking the stepstones that the Westerosi ships are just so eager to hear about whenever they dock, and suddenly Braavos, Braavos gets two people who look like the Old Blood of Volantis?" her voice raises sharply as she ends her tirade before she takes a breath and continues. "So yeah, Princess Daenerys Targaryen and Prince Viserys Targaryen, keep pretending that you're not exactly who I think you are."

While the fact that you have been "somewhat" discovered is a dangerous one, something within you cannot help what happens next. Laughter, pure and clear, bubbles up from within you as you realize just who she thinks you are. Your laughter is infectious as Dany can't help but burst into giggles beside you soon after. After about 2 full minutes of laughter you manage to get control of yourself. "If you think that I am Viserys Targaryen you are woefully misinformed I'm afraid."

Laena looks suspicious for a moment, but then your honest humor at the idea gets through to her. "Damn," she says in response. "Thought I had you pegged."

Well, that's a small break you didn't expect to get once she called you a Targaryen. Still, if she guessed, so will others. Even if they guess the wrong one. You are going to have to leave this place. As soon as possible. Should the Usurper hear of this, and he will you are certain, living in the home city of the Faceless Men when you know he'll pay to have you killed is not a good idea. "Still," you say, giving Laena a slightly edited view of your thoughts. "If you guessed that I was a Targaryen, others may as well. The last think I need is someone convinced of this trying to kill me and Daenys for that "king's ransom" that the Baratheon has promised." Secrecy or no, you refuse to call the Usurper "king".

Laena nods in understanding. "Having people after your blood is bad enough. If you aren't even the real target, that must be worse." She shifts on her feet and her leathers silently mold with her as she crosses her arms and takes a slightly embarrassed posture. "Well now, don't I feel like the fool."

Daenerys is quick to reassure her of course. "Don't. You may have been wrong about the situation, but not completely. We have been hiding some things about our identities. Mostly because we're new in town and we already know there are some people we can't trust. But... maybe you can help us out with some things?"

Your confusion is showing on your face, but Dany gives you a reassuring smile and simply says, "Trust me," in a quiet voice before moving on. You consider stopping her, but decide to see where she's going with this. Laena on the other hand looks up at her and asks, "Just what do you mean by that?"

"You seem like someone who notices things others don't," Daenerys says as she steps beside Laena and puts her arm around her shoulder. "Things like Thomas Mecumber not truly being a member of the faithful, unless I miss my guess."

You quietly suck in your breath just a touch. Dany's mannerisms have taken on that quality that you now know means she is delving into the source of that "future knowledge" again. 'Dammit Dany, be careful,' is all you can think as you watch this unfold.

Laena looks up at you and cocks her eyebrow. "So I was right. You did notice something off about him that first day you visited." A small smirk crosses her face that slowly turns into a playful smile. "Yeah, I may have noticed something like that. What's it to ya?" her eyes never leave yours as she waits for your response. Daenerys for her part merely looks at you and nods slightly, telling you to retake control of the conversation.

"Well, let's just say that I might have been being a little... humble when I said that we weren't anything special." You walk towards the fireplace in the room and after rolling up your sleeves, you thrust your arm in up to the elbow. You hold it there for a full minute, maintaining eye contact with Laena the entire time before you draw your arm out, unburnt. Not even the short silvery blonde hairs are singed in the slightest.

Her eyes widen as she rushes over and takes hold of your arm, scanning up and down, then feeling the heat of the flames herself, as if to reassure herself that it wasn't a mummer's trick of some sort. "Holy shit! You're, you're actually?"

"Chosen and blessed by the Dragon Gods of Old Valyria, yes. And we are here to guide the true Valyrian faithful down a new path. One of power, wealth, and glory for all, not just the one in charge. We're going to open the rest of the temple, and reclaim the relics and knowledge within that are left from Valyria. Then we and all the true faithful that are willing to come, are leaving Braavos for more welcoming shores." Her eyes are getting comically large by this point. "But we need to deal with Thomas first."

Laena looks back and forth between the two of you, before making her decision. "What do you need me to do?" she asks, and you smile.

The role of Dragon Priests is to help guide the forum. They are not omniscient, and like the normal forum members can have completely wrong ideas (like last time with the way to react to Daenerys being "illogical") but generally know more background data about what is going on than the forum. (The Dany wedding freakout example was the very first time they were off base. So you see how rarely they make bad decisions.) So don't follow them blindly, but do take their words into consideration. They're playing the meta portion of the game, and thus know just a bit more than the rest of you do. But even a little knowledge can make all the difference.

It is also important to note however that just because they provide an idea, that doesn't mean that it is the only good path, or even the best path. It is just one they ran by me and found a way to make plausible to succeed in. Rolls can still cause failure, but good planning lowers the DC, as I've mentioned before. Their plans usually have lots of details in the discord to help lower DCs a lot.

But your ideas are still good. There have been times that the forum came up with better stuff, and times that your ideas helped shape theirs. So please keep your write-ins coming! They use them!
